Compare the next permanent Cardiff City manager betting odds below.
Let's take a look at the names in the frame in the next Cardiff manager odds:
Having been put in charge as Cardiff's interim manager after Bulut's sacking, Riza led the Bluebirds to four points from three games to give them a boost going into the October break.
Cardiff got their first win of the campaign under Riza by edging to a 1-0 home victory against Millwall, which they followed up with a Severnside derby draw with Bristol City. But many fans felt Cardiff gave up two points in that game due to his changes, having led through Ollie Tanner.
Riza has indicated he would be interested in taking the job permanently but is not sure how long he has to make a positive impression on the club's decision-makers. The process to find a new manager is being led by chief executive Ken Choo before Dalman and Tan make the final call.
A respected coach, Riza's last spell as a caretaker manager saw him unable to prevent Leyton Orient from League Two relegation, with them going down in the 2017-18 term.
Riza spent some six years on the coaching staff at Watford before joining Cardiff's team in 2023.
Should Cardiff opt not to give Riza the job on a permanent basis, the bookmakers believe that they may turn to Mowbray, who has been out of work since his health issues forced him to stand down from Birmingham City last season. The former West Brom boss knows the Championship inside out and reports have claimed that Mowbray has already been contacted about the job.
Former Croatia boss Bilic was previously the favourite in the next Cardiff manager betting odds but his price has slipped back with Mowbray and Riza seemingly the front-runners. Bilic left the Saudi Pro League side Al-Fateh recently but is said to be unwilling to take over until early 2025.
Spaniard Selles has been strongly linked with the vacancy at Cardiff, having earlier managed Southampton in the Premier League. The 41-year-old could not stop Reading's relegation last term and recently said he has 'had enough' of the club's off-the-field issues, suggesting that he could be ready to move on from the troubled League One outfit if an appealing job offer comes.
Having left Preston North End after a single game of the new season, Lowe appears to have thrown his name into the ring in a recent interview that the manager conducted with Sky Sports.
"I can’t tell you anything that you don’t already know," he said. "What I will say is that I think Cardiff City’s a fantastic football club, very attractive to any manager who is out of work." Lowe added Cardiff are "probably in a false position because they have got some quality players and they have got a fantastic youth system as well", but it is unclear whether or not he is a target.
Former Plymouth Argyle boss Schumacher is available having been sacked by Stoke City a handful of games into this season. Schumacher, whose dream job would be at Everton, was an early favourite in the next Cardiff City manager betting odds but he has drifted recently.
Formerly one of the highest-rated coaches in the game after being hailed for his work under Steven Gerrard at both Rangers and Aston Villa, Beale has struggled of late as a manager. He initially succeeded with Queens Park Rangers and was linked to the Wolves job with QPR flying high at the top of the Championship.
He turned down that chance but later left in order to return to Rangers, where he had a trophyless season before being sacked. Beale then lasted just nine games as Sunderland's head coach and he badly needs to rebuild his damaged reputation.
Freyr Alexandersson (25/1) is in charge of Cardiff's sister side KV Kortrijk. The Icelandic coach, who previously led his country's national women's team, has put his admiration for British football on the record and also previously said that he "would love to coach Cardiff".
If Cardiff City prefer to appoint a Welshman, could they look in the direction of Mark Hughes? Offered at 25/1 in the next Cardiff manager odds, Hughes left Bradford City in October 2023.
Nathan Jones (25/1) is another proud Welshman to have been linked to the Cardiff job but he only took over League One club Charlton Athletic in February 2024, so may not want to leave. But the boyhood Bluebird might find Cardiff hard to turn down if he was to be offered the role.
A return for Warnock (33/1), now 75, would be popular but is unlikely. He recently said he is enjoying life as Torquay United's football advisor, helping out the National League South club.
One to watch could be James Rowberry (33/1), who worked on the Cardiff coaching staff under Warnock, Harris and McCarthy but currently has a job with the Welsh national team. Rowberry attended Cardiff's defeat to Leeds recently, prompting speculation he could be targeted, but he only lasted about a year at League Two club Newport County, his only job as a manager to date.
An internal candidate could be Aaron Ramsey (40/1), with the former Arsenal and Juventus midfielder currently sidelined by his latest injury. Wales boss Craig Bellamy has tipped Ramsey to become a manager "at a high level" but he said such a step is too early for the 33-year-old.
