Lottoland Sister Sites
Lottoland has been around the block for over a decade and those who like to wager money on lotto games will certainly know of the bookmaker. Having this, there is more than one good alternative to Lottoland and we will review some of them below. Before that, though, let's take a look at what makes Lottoland so good in the first place.
What Makes Lottoland So Good?
As the title of this section suggests, there is a lot to praise Lottoland for but the most important thing - in my opinion - is the safety. While lotto betting has become more widely available on betting sites these days, Lottoland is still the go-to site for such betting as punters can count on everything being done by the books.
In addition to this, Lottoland is also the only bookmaker in the UK that accepts £1 deposits, which is great especially for lotto betting. The sportsbook could do with some more work, as we covered in our review, but this is not the main reason why punters sign up on the site anyway. The core product, i.e. lotto betting, is still unrivalled on many fronts.
Lottoland Alternatives Reviewed
Lottoland does not have any sister sites, having decided to focus on the core product, but there are some good alternatives for those who like lotto betting.
Betfred
Betfred is known for being a very versatile betting site and that becomes clear when you take a look at the lotto section. It is not just a part of the sportsbook, but rather a separate section and here, Betfred offers everything from national lotteries to lotto games of its own, which is a very nice touch.
Betfred's Nifty Fifty is a particularly popular game, having become a staple of the lotto section, but the odds offered for all games are very good. In other words, you cannot really go wrong with lotto betting at Betfred and this makes it a tremendous alternative to Lottoland. Of course, the sportsbook is also much better than the latter's.
The Pools
The Pools is one of the most popular bookmakers in the UK, though focusing more on sports than Lottoland. Of course, we are mainly referring to the pool betting element of the site here, but The Pools also offers a few lotto games for betting. In total, there are four of them and they all have good terms.
The Minted 4 Life game has the highest jackpot of £9m, but the minimum stake is £2 per bet whereas the other games are between 50p-£1. In any case, the lotto options at The Pools are indeed among the best in the UK and similarly to Lottoland, a sportsbook was also introduced on the site not too long ago.
William Hill
William Hill is our final pick for lotto betting in the UK, relying on a very solid sportsbook which - in theory - should mean that the lotto features are nice too. National lotteries are available on the site, as well as the 49s game, and the odds are similar to what you would find on the rival Betfred.
The minimum betting amount is also very low, which some will appreciate, but it must be said that William Hill is bang average for lotto betting. There are no special games or markets and this is something you will find at Lottoland. If you are mainly betting on the Premier League, for example, and just want to place the occasional lotto bet then William Hill is a solid choice.
