It has been several years since NetBet burst onto the UK betting scene, launching in 2017, but most punters would still label it as one of the new betting sites. The decision to bring in Ray Parlour as a brand ambassador shows the bookie is serious about its operation, but it has still been unable to compete with the best ones out there.
Having said that, NetBet has attracted a decent amount of punters thanks to a comprehensive sportsbook and good betting margins. Therefore, one can also understand why there might be questions about potential sister sites, but those looking will come to the same conclusion: there are none.
Before delving into some good alternatives to NetBet, as well as sites that are similar in one way or another, let's take a look at the strengths of the bookmaker.
As we discussed in our review, NetBet has made a relatively strong start and the fact that it isn't just another white-label bookie leaves us with some optimism. The sportsbook is comprehensive, featuring the necessary markets and then some, while the betting margins are surprisingly low for such a young betting site at 5% on average.
This is up there with the best betting margins in the UK, which says a lot. On the other hand, NetBet could do with improving its welcome offer and we also experienced verification issues when attempting to withdraw funds from the site. It was all sorted in the end, but this is one of quite a few improvement areas for the bookie.
While there are no NetBet sister sites, i.e. bookies owned/operated by the same company, there are many good alternatives in the UK. Most are actually much better than NetBet, so we recommend joining the sites listed below:
BoyleSports is another up-and-coming betting site, at least in the UK, and it is one that we like a lot. The sportsbook has a plethora of markets for various sports, from football to tennis, and there is a solid Android and iOS app to download. In fact, we almost consider it to be up there with the best bookies.
Promotions are not lacking, including a two-goal early payout, and we got the money after just 90 minutes in our withdrawal test. There is a lot to like, in other words, and this is further fueled by the fact that BoyleSports has decided to focus solely on the core product as there are no sister sites.
Compared to NetBet, Betano is a brand-new betting site as the launch took place in May 2024. The bookie has been active in other markets for quite some time but opted to partner with BV Gaming for the UK market, which was a good decision. Being a sister site of BetVictor is not too shabby indeed.
In addition to a bet £10 get £30 welcome offer, Betano has a comprehensive sportsbook and there is also the Lucky Dip promotion, but this is the only one on the site. The betting margins, however, are a bit too high for our liking at 8.27% and this is something that BV Gaming will have to fix.
Compared to the three aforementioned betting sites, bet365 is certainly not new to the industry but we would be remiss not to include it here anyway. Indeed, anyone who is serious about sports betting - and wants it to be an enjoyable experience - should sign up for an account at bet365.
The sportsbook is unrivalled, with a fantastic bet builder tool, and the promotions are brilliant too with the Early Payout being very popular. Another huge strength of bet365 is the fact that live streaming is offered for most big events. This is something that could come in handy especially now that broadcasters are struggling to pay for TV rights.
