Octobet has gone through a couple of makeovers since its launch in 2024 and, as such, the presence of a mobile app that runs across both Android and iOS devices is not exactly a shock.
We will be providing our detailed thoughts on the Octobet app, but it is worth noting how the app is viewed by the wider customer base too.
The reviews for the Octobet app are very limited, which means it is tough to read too much into them, regardless of whether they are positive or negative.
You don't need to worry too much, though. Octobet is a legitimate bookmaker that is registered in the UK market. If you read our Octobet app review and decide you want to explore it for yourself, the process of downloading it is very simple.
You can download the app from the Octobet website or, alternatively, if you don't want to navigate your chosen app store, you can simply follow one of our dedicated links.

Customers that have already signed up with Octobet can simply download the app and login with their usual login information.
If, however, you are a newcomer, you can complete the full Octobet registration within the app. Just follow our step-by-step guide below:
Once the Octobet app has been downloaded, open it and click on the green "Register" button located in the top right corner.
You now have to complete a sign up form, which starts with inputting your personal information. The details you have to input are:
Once done, hit the green "Next" button.
The second and final part of the Octobet sign up form asks you to create your account information, such as a username and password, whilst also needing to enter your email address.
Further down the same page, there are a series of tick boxes for you to consider. These cover terms & conditions and marketing preferences.
Hit the Green "Done" button to finalise your account registration.

We won't be going into detail of the Octobet sports offering here; that is covered in our in-depth Octobet review. This is specifically an Octobet app review, which means our focus is on the sportsbook design and functionality. Let's get into it.
The layout of the main landing page is good. With a default focus on horse racing, you can use the top-positioned scrollbar to explore the other sports offered.
Each of the sports are displayed with the use of a smartly designed icon, whilst you've also got an additional search functionality for more targeted access to specific competitions.
Your choice of sport will dictate how the next view changes, however, the colour scheme and general presentation of the odds remain consistent. If you use football as an example, two additional narrow scroll bars appear. They facilitate navigation through different countries and time intervals.
Beneath that, you get the actual events listed. Events are spaced well, with colour contrasts subtly separating one event from another, whilst odds are presented against the backdrop of another colour.
All the colours knit together well, and the ability to manoeuvre around the page is excellent. It's further enhanced by a dropdown that allows users to toggle between popular markets from the same page.
Drilling into an event, the contrast of odds and markets maintains a similar style to the previously mentioned page. You do get the ability to collapse markets, though, which is useful as you assess where you want to place your bets.
The only slight downside to the Octobet sportsbook is that we did encounter some issues with odds loading when in the event view. This was a minor inconvenience and was solved with a refresh of the page.
You have to separate parts of the Octobet casino. One is the traditional casino, represented by a cherries icon and the other is the live casino, indicated by a chips icon; both are accessible via the footer bar.
We're not huge fans of the fact that the design takes on a slightly different view compared to the sportsbook, but the two casino components are very tightly aligned.
What that looks like is a horizontal scroll bar running across the game lobby, which is a block of green with white casino category icons serving as your navigation tool.
Underneath that, you have the main game lobby. Game tiles are neat and tidy but are quite small, shaped in stubby rectangles, as opposed to larger squares like a lot of modern casinos use.
There is then the matter of search and filtering tools. They are somewhat lacking, with a text search bar your only tool to narrow down your game exploration. It's not great.
To be clear, we have to say we are not overly impressed with the customer support provided by Octobet, but that is the case regardless of whether you are using the app or the browser version.
The reason for that is a lack of contact methods. You are forced into communicating with the Octobet team through email only, whilst there is no detailed FAQ available either.
On the bright side, the email address to contact is front and centre in the app, meaning you don't have to go hunting for it. That isn't the case for all bookies.

The Octobet app isn't faultless, with the error we mentioned under the sportsbook section, something we couldn't recreate in the browser version of the site.
That is only a minor point, though, and with all things considered, we still think there is benefit to be had in the app.
With it so small in terms of size (just 10.2MB), it's not going to touch the sides where modern devices are concerned either.
