RubyBet is a new online betting site that first launched in 2019, and is legal and operated by Progress Play Limited under a white label solution.
PPL operates 50+ online brands in the UK market including Betdukes, Bazingabet, Betsteve, Sponsiobet and many more.
As with all the other Progress Play Limited brands, RubyBet has long withdrawal times and a £2.50 fee for each withdrawal. We have also received several worrying reviews on a number of the brands, and we recommend reading these reviews before joining the sites.
Unfortunately, we do not currently promote, or recommend claiming the signup bonus for RubyBet, but, we do have exclusive free bets & bonuses for over 50 online betting sites in the UK.
In fact, we do not recommend the signup bonuses available on Progress Play Limited brands because of the clear issues with the terms and conditions. Firstly, we have several reviews of players not receiving the bonus, and the brands refusing to honour the offer. Secondly, the wagering terms are typically 10x the free bet amount, but, you can only win a maximum of £20. It is rare to see a bonus this poor, and we do not recommend trying to claim it.
Rubybet's sportsbook offers 30+ sports covering popular and niche events from all around the world. Punters can bet on popular sports in the UK such as football, tennis and horse racing for example. But, also have the option to bet on niche sports including chess, esports, volleyball and many more.
Sports available:
As for the betting markets, you will find competitive depth across the sportsbook, with a clear emphasis on football. The top five football leagues in Europe often have 300+ markets available pre-match, and 100's for in-play betting. But, there is no free live streaming, or bet builder feature to create custom bets.
In terms of the betting margins, RubyBet performed poorly with an average of 7.12% in our independent tests. Of course, we only test a small sample to serve as an example of the margins, but, it is not encouraging to see margins this high. Also, it seems that the margins vary quite a lot from each Progress Play Limited brand, despite being operated by the same company.
Sadly, RubyBet has limited customer support with just two options available, but it is open from 08:00 am - 12:00 am (GMT) 7 days a week. Still, we expect 24/7 support, and more contacting options instead of just a live chat and email contact form.
Overall, RubyBet offers a solid sportsbook with 30+ sports and great market depth. But, it is hard to recommend joining a bookie in which you can find no information on the true owners of the brand, the terrible signup bonus, £2.50 charge for withdrawals, high betting margins, and poor customer service.
In conclusion, we do not currently recommend joining RubyBet, instead, choose from our list of the top 10 best UK betting sites for 2024.
