DAZN Bet is a new online betting site which aims to leverage the brand's strong position in the media industry. With a decent sportsbook, good betting margins and a great casino section, many have already signed up on the site. However, how does it really stack up against the competition? In this review, we take a look at everything you need to know.

DAZN Bet is a decent attempt of leveraging the brand's reputation in the media industry, but it is not quite enough to trouble any of the big bookmakers. The sportsbook offering is decent, especially considering the good betting margins, but the depths in markets is not that impressive. Furtermore, there are no promotions for sports punters to make use of and this is a huge disadvatange.
Out of the two sections, the casino one is certainly the strongest and the site could thus be an option for players who occasionally like to place a sports bet as well. The selection of payment methods should also be highlighted, but there are too many factors that outweight these. In short, DAZN Bet will perhaps suffice for some but it is really not close to the best betting sites out there.
DAZN is part of the wave of new betting sites being launched in the UK, rolling out on the market in the summer of 2022. At this time, DAZN Bet does not have sister sites with the sole focus on their main product.
But, similar to the betting site talkSPORT Bet, it is owned by a media company in the shape of DAZN. Although a lot of UK punters will be familiar with the broadcaster by now, it is especially big in the boxing world and has previously been dubbed the 'Netflix of sports'.
The betting site can be described as a business on the side, in other words, but DAZN can at least be praised for not opting for a white-label solution. Instead, the company has teamed up with the well-known Pragmatic Solutions Group to create its own product, so potential new customers can expect a certain standard on the betting site.
However, having made the news for hefty losses in the last few years, customers are right to have doubts about DAZN and the longevity of the business. So, how does the betting site stack up against the competition? In this review, we take a look at everything you need to know about DAZN Bet, so that you can make an informed decision about whether to sign up or not.
DAZN Bet, or more specifically the company DZBT Limited, is licensed and regulated by the Gambling Commission in the UK. Without this, the site would not be able to operate in the country and punters can thus rest knowing it is a safe option. However, this license is not a guarantee for quality and this is something that must be kept in mind.
Last year, DAZN Bet was handed a minor fine by the Gambling Commission for failing to enforce self-exclusions and having sent marketing messages to a few who had requested the latter. Given the slap on the wrist, DAZN Bet has amended this fault and one can only hope that such practice - which is really not good - will end.
On Trustpilot, DAZN Bet has a very low rating of just 1.5 out of five stars, with over 85% of the reviews being one star. Most of the customers have complained about the verification process, which continues to be a huge problem for especially new betting sites in the UK. This is certainly something that new customers should beware of.
As of April 13, 2024, DAZN Bet no longer offers a welcome offer for new customers. Those who are keen on claiming some free bets will have to check out the bookies with the best sign-up offers instead, with many different good ones to claim such as bet £5 get £20 deals. It remains to be seen if DAZN Bet will add an offer in the future.
Compared to other top UK bookmakers, DAZN Bet needs a lot of work on this front in order to attract new customers. Not counting the welcome offer, there is not a single sports promotion available on the site. Actually, there are a few, but they require punters to also have a DAZN broadcasting subscription so these can hardly be counted.
We cannot fault DAZN Bet for the innovation here, as punters can get a £5 free bet and £5 towards their DAZN subscription each month, but this is something that can be regarded as positive still. It might be great for those who already have a subscription, but at a time when betting sites are offering great promotions, DAZN Bet would have needed more on this front.
Given the disappointing welcome offer and promotions, does DAZN Bet make up for this with a good selection of payment methods? Not fully, but indeed to a decent extent. Customers at DAZN Bet will find a very good selection of methods, with e-wallets such as PayPal, Skrill and Neteller all available and with low minimum deposit amounts as well.
One negative, perhaps, is that DAZN Bet imposes a £500 daily deposit limit on every customer account regardless of the payment method. Below, we have collected everything you need to know about the deposit methods at DAZN Bet:
Payment Method | Minimum Deposit |
---|---|
Debit Cards (MasterCard/Visa) | £5 |
PayPal | £5 |
Neteller | £5 |
Skrill | £5 |
Paysafecard | £5 |
Trustly | £5 |
The selection of withdrawal methods at DAZN Bet, just like with the deposits, is not a let-down either and customers will most likely find their favourite method here. Having said that, fast withdrawals from betting sites have become increasingly important in recent years and this is usually possible with e-wallets.
However, based on DAZN Bet's information page on the matter, even the e-wallets could take 1-2 business days whereas most betting sites say within a day. Below, we have collected everything you need to know about the deposit methods at DAZN Bet:
Payment Method | Minimum Withdrawal | Processing Time |
---|---|---|
Debit Cards (MasterCard/Visa) | £5 | 1-3 business days |
PayPal | £5 | 1-2 business days |
Skrill | £5 | 1-3 business days |
Neteller | £5 | 1-3 business days |
Trustly | £5 | 1-2 business days |
Paysafecard | £5 | 1-2 business days |
Bank Transfer | £5 | 1-5 business days |
As per the Gambling Commission regulations, DAZN Bet has an identity verification process in place - also known as Know Your Customer - and this means customers may have to provide additional documentation. As already highlighted in the 'Is DAZN Bet Safe?' section, this can be tricky for punters. Below are some of the documents that may be requested:
Usually, DAZN Bet will try to verify the identity of a new customer automatically, using the information provided during the registration. This is not always possible, though, and that is why the site may ask for more documentation. It is important to comply with this process, and above all to sort it from the start, as winnings could be held in the account (non-withdrawable) and this is far from ideal.
Based on previous customer experiences, we urge anyone signing up on DAZN Bet to make sure that the verification has been sorted. Especially before depositing large amounts of money. Customers who are asked to provide additional documents can upload these in the 'My Account' section or email them to [email protected].
Customers who sign up at DAZN Bet will find that there is a good selection of sports, with anything from football to indy racing available to bet on. In total, there are around 30 sports and this is pretty much standard these days, even for new betting sites. And although DAZN has a strong interest in boxing, it is football and horse racing which top the bill given the UK market.
Football fans who sign up for an account here, eager to place a few bets on the Premier League perhaps, will find that there are around 120-150 markets available for each game. This may sound like a lot but it is actually rather underwhelming, with some of the best football bookies in the country offering as many as 300-600 per game. And although there is a bet builder, it lacks some key markets such as player to score.
Taking a look at the betting margins, which is a key aspect that many punters tend to overlook, our testing showed an average of 6.6% which is certainly not bad. We have seen better margins, of course, but there have also been quite a few sites with a lot higher recently.
Away from the football betting options at DAZN Bet, the site is also fighting with the top boxing betting sites. Ante-post markets on plenty of upcoming bouts are available to browse. However, DAZN Bet appears to be missing a trick by failing to offer the chance to bet on certain fights being made. Nevertheless, the boxing offering is indeed comprehensive.
Another good thing is that DAZN Bet has added horse racing to its catalogue, having previously failed to deliver this. However, only UK and Irish races are available to bet on and this is rather disappointing. Furthermore, punters who take promotions such as best odds guaranteed will want to check out the top 10 horse racing betting sites instead, or the top greyhound betting sites.
Live streaming is another key area of improvement to focus on for DAZN Bet. It is indeed curious that no live sports streaming is offered on the site, especially considering DAZN's background. Having said that, sports broadcasting is a complicated business and the rights are expensive to acquire. Perhaps DAZN wants punters to sign up for a proper subscription instead.
The statistics centre is one of the most important things to highlight about the DAZN Bet site. Users can browse through a wealth of data and information about the top sports, with Premier League fans in particular likely to enjoy how much there is on offer. However, the interface for the statistics centre is not the easiest to navigate at the current time.
Overall, the DAZN sportsbook is certainly decent but there is room for improvement, as you would expect. And the main question is if DAZN Bet has the resources to do so, with the parent company at risk of going bust or downsizing.

Given the partnership with Pragmatic Group, i.e. Pragmatic Play, one would expect to find a comprehensive casino section at DAZN Bet and this is indeed the case. Of course, a lot of Pragmatic Play titles are listed at the top of the casino page, but there are also games from other providers such as Blueprint and Evolution Gaming.
Slots make up a majority of the library and players will most likely be able to find their favourite one here. There are also quite a few jackpot games available, with the jackpot standing at £450,000+ at the time of writing. Players who want to try their luck with classic table games such as Roulette and Poker will be able to do so, but most will probably opt for the live casino.
Popular games such as Lightning Roulette are present in the live casino and this section does not disappoint, with the three providers (Pragmatic Play, Playtech and Evolution) ensuring a comprehensive offering. In total, there are just under 1,000 games available across all sections and most players will thus be able to find what they are looking for.
The casino is also very easy to navigate, with multiple categories and a search function at hand for players. New players who sign up can claim 42 free spins on Big Bass Bonanza at a value of £0.10 each. All that is needed is to wager £10 in the casino section, and the free spins have no wagering requirements either.
One could definitely argue that the casino is stronger than the sportsbook in general, DAZN Bet might actually be a better home for casino players than sports bettors. But this was almost to be expected given the partnership with Pragmatic Play, which launched its first sportsbook ever with DAZN.
Betting on the go has become increasingly important for sports punters, just as speed is of the essence when partaking in some live betting. Therefore, betting apps are crucial for betting sites and DAZN Bet has made sure to cover this, offering an app for both iOS and Android. But how does it stack up against the competition?
Taking a look at the ratings, the DAZN Bet app has a rating of 2.1 and 3-4 out of five stars on the App Store and the Google Play Store respectively. Based on our experience, we can also confirm that the app is not among the best on the market. The design of the app is also more or less identical to the mobile website, although most would consider this a positive for familiarity.
The potential is certainly there, featuring the same strong core as the website, but DAZN Bet might need to work a bit more on the app. Especially since some customers have complained about the speed, which is never a good thing.
While DAZN Bet's welcome offer perhaps was not the most enticing, there are many of them around and this has increased the risk of gambling addiction, especially among young punters. Therefore, the Gambling Commission has placed a greater emphasis on the matter, with sites needing to offer certain tools. The following are available at DAZN Bet:
A good place to start is always the deposit limits, which will force you to reflect on your betting habits, and they can certainly go a long way to avoiding overspending. Given DAZN Bet's troublesome history with Self-Exclusion, as highlighted in the 'Is DAZN Bet Safe?' section, one can only hope that this tool is in fact working as it should now.
There is also a 'Safer Gambling' page on the site, where customers will be able to find information on the tools as well as third-party resources. Those who believe they are struggling are advised to contact any of these organisations immediately.
Customer support is often one of the areas where new sports betting sites find it hard to compete with established operators that are able to dedicate lots of budget to their services.
A contact form can be used to send a message to the DAZN Bet customer support team and there is also the area of a frequently asked section that many users may find useful. Within the FAQ, customers who have joined DAZN Bet are able to learn all about everything from how to send in any necessary documentation as part of the verification process to payments offered.
When accessing DAZN Bet customer support via live chat, users are asked if their pressing issue concerns one of the more common problems, such as being able to claim a welcome free bet. But it is also possible to tap on a button to speak to a human, which is handy for those who would rather not go through steps to be helped by the FAQ and want to chat with a real person.
DAZN Bet also has a team of Safer Gambling Officers who are on hand to help people 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, if they believe they could be at risk of developing a gambling problem.
