Another weekend of League Two action has been and gone, so we can now look at the market and how it's reacted to what we saw on Matchday 10.
Let's dive in!
Below, we have collected the top teams and their respective odds to win the League Two title in the 2026/27 season.
As most expected before the start of the season, we can now see Salford City at the top of the League Two table. The heavy favourites before a ball was kicked, it's taken the international break for them to reach the pinnacle of the league.
Sitting a point above Barnet and Crewe - I wonder who'll follow them in this section - they are the current joint favourites to win the league again.
A 2-0 win against a Cheltenham side with 10 men was enough to take them to the top of the league, and their form looks incredibly strong currently. They've won each of their last four games and haven't lost a league game since late August.
Saying that, I think they're overpriced currently at 10/3, I'd be holding off to bet on them to win the league...
Instead, if I had to have a bet on a league title winner, I'd be looking at Barnet, who are in a much better position. They're yet to lose in the league this season and they've won their last three games on the bounce.
In other words, they're sitting fairly pretty on 18 points. This weekend, they beat Accrington Stanley thanks to a brace from Charlie Lakin and it's not enough to reclaim the top spot.
However, with two games in hand, you'd expect them to be heading back to the top shortly. For them to be 10/3 too, then, feels like a bit of a gift. I'd sooner be taking this price than the one for Salford to win the league...
Finally, we come to Crewe, whose form in the past five also reads incredibly well. With three draws and two wins, they're also unbeaten so far this season and that looks likely to continue.
Wins against Bristol Rovers and Swindon in this weekend's game show immense signs of quality within their squad. Yes, they've played more games than some of the teams around them. However, they'll still be in the mix when they catch up.
It feels a tad extreme to have them priced at 25/1 (with three E/W places) to win the league. Maybe they need to be kept an eye on; if we don't, they'll fly under the radar.
Below, we have collected the top teams - aside from the big favourites - and their respective odds to finish top 7 in the 2026/27 League Two season.
For York, the past five games haven't been awful. They've got two wins, two draws and a defeat, which we can be critical of. However, it's key to remember that they've only just come into League Two.
This weekend's draw against Northampton looks questionable on paper. Yet, the visitors were always going to make it a tough game and shut down.
So far, City certainly aren't doing awfully and they've got a chance of promotion.
I wouldn't be taking the 2/5 for them to get a play-off spot, though. There are better prices in my eyes.
Maybe it's a little early, maybe it's a bit harsh, but Walsall are doing the Walsall thing again.
After a solid start, they're already starting to stall a little bit. They've won just one of their last six league games or two of their last eight. It's not like they've lost the games around that, but they're just not winning games and they're doing it again.
Coral and its sister sites have already begun to lose faith that they can get a play-off spot this season, pushing them out to 2/1.
Right now, it'd be tough to see value in that...
I tipped Chesterfield at the weekend, hoping to see them grab a big three points and we just about got away with it, thanks to Early Payout. However, there cannot be an excuse for dropping a two-goal lead.
It seemed they were cruising, but then a brace from Gianmarco Di Biase inside six minutes flipped the game on its head. They had chances to win late on, but it goes on the record as a defeat. A frustrating one for them, certainly.
That result may have helped punters, though, with them now priced at 8/13 for a top seven finish... maybe that holds some value.
Because of how many teams are fighting for a top seven spot, it's difficult to go through all of them. However, I wanted to give a few mentions elsewhere.
We'll start with Gillingham, who have won three of their last five. Most expected them not to do much this season. Yet, they are making a statement for themselves in the play-offs. If they continue to pick up some decent results over the next few weeks, the 9/2 for a top seven finish will go...
Rochdale also deserve a mention. Coming up from League Two always brings up questions about how high teams can go and Dale could go far... Unbeaten in their last five League Two games - including three wins - they could well be in the conversation if they continue like this.. SpreadEx have them at 17/2 for a play-off spot. Stranger things have happened...
Below, we have collected the top teams and their respective odds to be relegated from League Two in the 2026/27 season.
I've been vocal about my worries about Crawley for some time now, it's not going to change anytime soon. However, I can admit that this weekend's result was a good one. To come back from two goals down against Chesterfield is only a good thing.
Nevertheless, they can't keep conceding goals as regularly as they are.
If they can tighten up a little at the back, who knows. For the bookmakers, there is little faith and they're gradually shortening but PricedUp are still offering 6/4 for them to go down.
A lot of the same can be said for Northampton. This weekend's result, by all accounts, was a good one. They've taken a big point away from a promotion-chasing side. However, they did it in reverse.
After leading for 75 minutes, they maybe should've held on, despite the hosts' pressure. It's an improvement, but they still sit in the bottom two. The bookmakers are confident of improvement, though. BetVictor is offering 12/1 for them to go down, that could disappear with more results like this...
There are several teams that could slip and slide into the relegation zone this season. However, one team currently sticks out.
In our last review, we looked at Port Vale and I'm going to do so again. The Staffordshire outfit got a big win against Grimsby at the weekend, but you'd still have doubts. It's only their fourth goal of the season and that causes a bit of worry, especially for a team who have been relegated from League One.
A double drop is certainly possible and the best football bookmakers still have them around the 25/1 mark...
