It was a hectic weekend at the top end of League One, and as a result, several teams now have a better chance at a promotion place. The league title, though, still seems to be heading in one direction.
We keep giving praise to Birmingham this season, and there are no reasons to stop that. Week after week, they find a way. Whether they dominate a game or come back from a difficult position, the result is normally the same.
Despite trailing against Rotherham at one point, the Blues turned the result around and got another three points, taking their tally to 13 points in their last five games - a feat which no one has matched in recent weeks.
With Wycombe dropping points, there is now a four-point gap in place, and I can only see that widening over the next couple of weeks. For me, there are no 'straight' bets for the title and in all honesty, there have not been for a while.
Below, we have collected the top team and their respective odds to win the title in the 2024/25 League One season.
A few weeks ago, this section looked much different, and that is why this League One season is phenomenal.
Starting with Wycombe, they were under serious pressure in recent weeks, but they have ridden the wave really well it must be said. After losing key players and their head coach, they have continued on their path towards promotion.
Mike Dodds has now taken the reigns, so the next few weeks will show how credible the Chairboys are for promotion, but as things stand, they are on their way back to the Championship.
Wrexham, despite dropping points in recent weeks, also are in a very strong position, and are closer to an automatic spot than they are the other teams in the playoffs, which can only be seen as a huge bonus for them.
I have my doubts about whether they will be able to reach up for a place in the top two, but that is something that we will continue to see, especially with them adding two new strikers to their team in this window.
Stockport have leapfrogged Huddersfield in recent weeks, and Dave Challinor's side have been brilliant, winning their last four. With people fearing about their hopes after Louis Barry's departure, they are certainly proving people wrong and it is a testament to Challinor as a coach.
The aforementioned Huddersfield Town sit fifth and with three successive defeats against a range of different sides, worries are growing in West Yorkshire. Michael Duff's side are quickly on the slide and new ideas must be found.
Leyton Orient wrap up the top six, despite losing at the weekend. However, this position is not going to be easy to keep.
15th-placed Rotherham are only seven points away from the top six, which only shows how close this division is, and will continue to be over the next few months. However, I do not think the Millers will have a chance into the play-offs.
Instead, I'd be looking at Bolton and Barnsley with interest for a top-six finish, which is offered by several bookmakers. Charlton also may have a decent chance here too, but the prices on the two clubs mentioned earlier are slightly more tempting.

The relegation scene is equally as difficult to call because you have had quite a few strugglers this season, who all now seem to be picking up points on a semi-regular basis.
Cambridge, who sit last, have picked up five points in their last five games, which is the second lowest amount picked up in the bottom four, but only marginally. However, their chances of safety are dropping by the week.
Shrewsbury follow next just a point ahead, and a win this weekend has changed the narrative slightly with them. Though I must admit, I still think that the Shrews will find it difficult to get out of the bottom four.
Crawley lost again at the weekend, and consistency questions will be asked again, considering their past five have seen them lose, draw, lose, win, and then lose again. Those questions are exactly why they find themselves in the bottom four, though.
Burton currently occupy the last spot at the bottom, but I must admit that my confidence in their chances is growing. They are unbeaten in their last five games which has seen them rise massively up the league table.
Northampton won at the weekend against Huddersfield though, so that could give them a little boost in the next few weeks, and create a gap bigger than the five points that it currently is standing at.
Peterborough also are looking very shaky towards the bottom end, so I'd be keeping an eye on their price if they do not start to pick up results in the next few weeks.
