Wondering how long it actually takes to get your money from Proper Bet? We put the withdrawal time to the test using real money and a Visa debit card, receiving our money in 81 minutes.
In this guide, you will find our full test results, the step-by-step breakdown of the process, and tips to get your money out faster.
Proper Bet is among the new betting sites to launch in the UK, so you'd be forgiven for not knowing it exists. The site was put live in 2026 and since Playbook Gaming is the sportsbook and casino provider, there are perks to this new launch.
Having said that, the payment options highlight some flaws on the site. Only debit cards and Apple Pay are offered, with no e-wallet or instant bank transfer, so there could rightfully be some concerns about the withdrawal time.
Thankfully, our withdrawal test with a Visa debit card didn't take too long at 81 minutes, even if far from the fastest. The low withdrawal amount (£5) makes up a little bit for the lack of payments too, so again, there are perks to Proper Bet.
Below, we have collected everything you need to know about withdrawing funds from the site.
| Payment Method | Min Withdrawal | Max Withdrawal | Withdrawal Fee | Withdrawal Time |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Visa | £5 | Not specified | No fee | 81 minutes in our test |
Mastercard | £5 | Not specified | No fee | Within two business days |
| Apple Pay | £5 | Not specified | No fee | Within two business days |
Given the lack of payment methods at Proper Bet, you are basically only offered withdrawals through Mastercard and Visa (+ via Apple Pay). That might be a worrying sign but our withdrawal with Visa took 81 minutes, which isn't too bad all things considered.
Instant bank transfer is something we have seen on several Proper Bet sister sites, so that would be a nice addition in the future.
If you are keen on learning more about withdrawals at Proper Bet, you can follow our step-by-step guide on how to withdraw funds from the site below.
When you're ready to withdraw your funds from Proper Bet, simply head back to the 'Account' page and then tap 'Withdraw'.
Your withdrawal method will default to the last used deposit method. However, you can change this with the drop-down menu, provided you've used more than one method.
For most people, it's simply a case of entering your desired withdrawal amount and hitting the "Withdraw" button.
Finally, you will need to wait for the funds to arrive. Proper Bet suggests it could take two business days, but this was not the case for us. Instead, we had our money in just under an hour and a half.
Thankfully, we didn't need to check the status of our withdrawal when doing our Proper Bet test. However, it would be easy to check if we had needed to. The withdrawal cashier is all shown on the same page, as can be seen below.
So, to check your withdrawal status, simply head to the 'Profile' area and then tap 'Withdraw' to see the progress of your request.
