ProperBet uses the same PlayBook Gaming platform as Dragonbet, Priced Up, AK Bets, Planet Sport Bet, BestOdds, StarSports, BetWright, and LondonBet, making these the closest sister sites to ProperBet.
By licence, however, ProperBet is a new independent bookmaker operating under Proper Bet Limited (UKGC: 100990).

Proper Bet is owned and operated by the aptly named Proper Bet Limited (UKGC: 100990). That licence was only registered with the UKGC in May 2026, with Proper Bet the sole brand operating on it.
The people pulling the strings behind the new site, though, have made the decision to partner with an established sportsbook provider in the form of Playbook Gaming.
Playbook Gaming has its fingerprints across a vast number of domains in the market, meaning that this modern brand is, in theory, launching from an elevated baseline.
Here, we check out the Proper Bet sister sites, with a view to understanding whether or not it measures up to other Playbook sites.

Well, the first big con we have to float here is that we've experienced several hurdles in getting registered with Proper Bet.
That's a real shame too, because the site itself is actually alright. You immediately land into a clean, neutral looking platform. It's easy on the eye, well-designed where menu navigation and icons are concerned and the general responsiveness of buttons are good too. Those factors give Proper Bet a good score on aesthetics.
As for what you get on the site, the sportsbook offers up around 20 different sports. This includes the most popular sports of football, horse racing and greyhounds. The former offers over 50 different competitions to explore, with league and cup fixtures covered worldwide. Race meets are also offered on a global scale and, notably, some come with live streaming too.
Across sports in general, market depth is a bit lacking compared to the industry average, but there is still more than enough to place most common bet types.
You also have a casino and live casino area to explore. You'll find a fairly modest game collection here, with the game count standing at circa 600 titles. The layout is reasonable again, though, with good sized titles and many recognisable titles, with Pragmatic one of the providers Proper Bet uses.
If online bookmaking was a beauty contest, Proper Bet would have a chance. As a general all round betting platform though? We're not sure and think some of the Proper Bet sister sites are worth a look.
When exploring PricedUp, it takes a few seconds for the penny to drop that it is indeed one of the sister sites. There are little design choices made along the way, from colour and icon design, that give it a bit of contrast. A lot of the underlying structure remains shared, though.
You have an A-Z horizontal scrollbar running over the sportsbook, interactions that are easy to make and, roughly, 24 different sports you can have a dabble on. Horse racing is probably the one that sits front and centre, closely followed by football, and, as with Proper Bet, both allow for browsing of events in every corner of the planet.
The design over in the casino and live casino area is more closely linked to Proper Bet, albeit with colour contrasts. You have square, sharp angled game tiles. They are not as nice looking as the more rounded corners many sites offers, which would help with turning it towards a more modern look and feel, but the game count is solid at circa 1,300.
We shouldn't sleep on the fact that £1 deposits can be made, either.
Structurally, BestOdds is quickly identifiable as a Proper Bet sister site, with the sportsbook layout identical across the two platforms.
The only thing that is different is a vastly different choice of colour scheme, with BestOdds opting for navy blue as its main block colour. Like Proper Bet, it looks pretty decent.
There are a few more options offered at BestOdds for what to bet on, though, which probably edges it ahead of Proper Bet. For example, you can bet on TV and Volleyball at BestOdds. That improved choice extends into the number of betting markets too, with BestOdds boasting a far stronger selection of player props.
You will find a similar story as you manoeuvre across into the casino as well. You will see huge comparisons where a design overview is concerned, but the depth is far superior at BestOdds; you've got nearly three-times more games to dabble on.
Welsh-founded DragonBet is closer in design styling to PricedUp than Proper Bet, with colourful icons in the horizontal bar being the most noteworthy variation from the latter of the brands. Scratch below the surface, though, and you are back to a host of similarities.
You have 20-odd sports to bet on, plus a couple of additional categories such as politics and TV. Horse racing, greyhounds and football remain the "big three", but there is a dedicated "Welsh Events" area as well. That brings rugby into the mix, with competition coverage good but the associated market depths perhaps not quite as impressive.
The casino offering is, one again, a rinse and repeat from a design perspective. That ranges from the search and filter functionality, through to the way the game tiles are laid out. You have over 900 games to play, though, which is a notable step above Proper Bet, even if not the biggest of the sister sites.
