Neptune Play is part of the Aspire Global (AG) network, giving it over 20 sister sites to choose from, all run under the same AG Communications Limited license.
While this opens the door to a wide selection of similar betting experiences, it also means you will encounter some common issues across the network such as:
Although a few AG brands offer an okay betting experience, more AG sites currently sit on our blacklist than our recommended list, due to the issues above in our own testing, and a high number of complaints from real players.
Still, if you are curious about Neptune Play's sister sites, we have listed some brands below that we currently recommend.
Neptune Play isn’t a widely recognised brand, but Aspire Global International Limited and AG Communications Limited (UKGC: 39483) that underpin it are behemoths in the online gambling space.
One of the reasons AG Communications are so well-known is because they hold so many brand names under their vast umbrella. We take a look at a handful of the Neptune Play sister sites to see whether or not they outperform the 2024 launch.
Neptune Play might be a brand name based around the ocean, but it certainly doesn’t take punters to new depths.
With Aspire Global pulling the strings, you might expect more given their experience, but the design and usability of the site is probably the worst aspect of the offering, whilst the betting margins came in at over 8% in our test, which is pretty abject.
It isn’t all bad though. The sportsbook hits quite nicely, if you’re not overly concerned about the margin.
You have a strong coverage of sports with 40 different sports available to bet on, whilst the market choice within some of those is not half bad either; the football offering provides in excess of 150 markets, for example.
Neptune Play is a site that should be better than it is; it feels very much like it has left something on the table.
Now, a cynic might say it’s laziness from a company that thinks it can flex its muscles and just grow market share, but others might give it the benefit of the doubt and suggest some of the flaws we see are teething issues associated to a relatively new launch.
A look at some of the Neptune Play sister sites should help inform us as to which is more accurate.
Let’s cut to it, Mr Play is probably the best of the Neptune Play sister sites we’ve listed. There are some challenges with the site again operating off the same template though, which isn’t without its navigation quirks. This is a common theme across the sister sites we’ve shone a light on.
On the plus side, it benefits from a similarly solid casino offering, the same excellent payment methods and, unlike with the other sites, the sportsbook betting margins are much more competitive too; they come in at 6.57% during our test.
To be clear, that isn’t sensational, but it’s far from offensive like those that come in north of 8%.
Mr Luck provides us more of the same where our Neptune Play sister sites are concerned. The vibrant green colouring provides another vibe to the look and feel, but the template of the site is consistent with those mentioned already.
The negatives follow the same them too with the sportsbook betting margins of 8.51% quite frankly farcical.
Look beyond those poor margins and the breadth of sports on offer is good, as is the market depth within those respective sports.
The casino is again stacked with top brands and a vast array of games whilst the payment options means that nobody will have issues depositing funds with Mr Luck.
There are a lot of similarities between Bet Fusion and Neptune Play. The colour scheme at Bet Fusion does at least take on a different guise, but the site structures are very close to one another, which isn’t uncommon on white-label sites.
As for pros and cons, the casino offering at Bet Fusion is solid with an abundance of games, including over 100 coming out of the live casino whilst the payment methods available to bettors are vast too.
On the downside, the sportsbook margins again drag the site down. Our test put it marginally ahead of Neptune Play, but still over 8%.
