Betgrouse is part of the Aspire Global (AG) network, giving it 20+ sister sites to choose from, all run under the same AG Communications Limited license.
Still, AG run the site as a white label, and you can expect similar betting experiences. Which also means you will encounter some common issues across the network such as:
Although a few AG brands offer an okay betting experience, more AG sites currently sit on our blacklist than our recommended list, due to the issues above in our own testing, and a high number of complaints from real players.
Still, if you are curious about Betgrouse's sister sites, we have listed some brands below that we currently recommend including Bet442, Mr Luck, Betiton, Luckster, Mr Play and many more.
The site is owned by the Cyprus-based Scartesu Limited, though operated by the Malta-based AG Communications Ltd under a white-label solution.
AG Communications - or Aspire Global as they are often referred - have over a decade worth of experience in the UK gambling market. Over that period AG have overseen a host of different brand launches. Here we assess how Betgrouse ranks against some of its sister sites.
Being part of a giant like AG Communications means that there are some undeniable positives at Betgrouse. You have a comprehensive list of banking options to begin with. From there, you can wage that money across a casino and sportsbook operation.
The casino, which includes a live casino, is the better of the two offerings. You will find a clean layout, easy navigation and a good array of games.
They are provided by some recognisable software providers as well meaning you will see game names that resonate with you whilst new games are added on a fairly frequent basis as well.
Over on the sports side of the site, it's just an average sportsbook. The volume of sports covered is good but market depth, whilst fine, is miles off being market leading.
For example, an elite football league match only features around 150 markets. There are bookies who can boast double that number. Betting margins of 7.44% are pushing towards the upper end of what is passable as well.
Betgrouse is far from a disaster of a betting site but it certainly has room for improvement. Do any of the Betgrouse sister sites measure up slightly better?
The landing page of Vegasland cuts a fairly different vibe from Betgrouse with what we'd describe as a retro feel. Look a little closer though and the general navigation and site structure is very, very similar.
At least it is in the sportsbook, which means you get the same good coverage of sports with football, horse racing headlining alongside lesser followed sports like ski jumping and a series of eSports. Odds are largely consistent across the Betgrouse sister sites giving a 7.44% margin.
Where the site does take in a completely different appearance is the casino. It still provides the same strong range of games but the categorisation is superior to what is offered at Betgrouse. It makes finding what you want easier, and has to be considered a positive.
Navigation across the site as a whole is simple but not always speedy.
If Vegasland suffers from some challenges with loading speed, Tangobet is a bit of a disaster where technical issues are concerned.
Not only can some page transitions be slow but we also experienced missing odds and full on failures at certain stages. That makes it impossible for us to recommend Tangobet.
It's a shame too, because when the site works, it's not bad. There is sports galore available to bet on, with 40 different choices to choose from. Included here is global horse racing covered, greyhounds, volleyball, eSports and, of course, football.
Over in the casino, you have got over 3,000 games to choose from with 145 of those options existing in the live casino. Expect a range of providers, big brand names and a range of high and low stake options.
On the downside, the colour scheme of the casino pages feels massively stripped back, making it look cheaply thrown together.
Football fans will know that the Bet442 name is a play on the most famous formation, and there is a clear slant towards the site being focused to the sports side of things. Unfortunately, that is only in presentation.
The odds are against "toppy" at 7.44%. There also isn't any more offered at Bet442 than there is at the other Betgrouse sister sites we've referenced, where sports coverage and market depth is concerned.
That's not to say it's a tragic offer, it's not. What it is though, is a far cry from the best sports betting sites, which is a shame given the positioning of the Bet442 proposition.
Keeping that in mind, somewhat strangely, you could easily make an argument for it boasting the best casino section of the sites listed here. Game variety is as per previous brand names, but the layout is the slickest of the lot.
