With good odds, many payment methods and live streaming, it has become rather popular in the UK. However, there are still some things you should know, which we highlight in our review.

888Sport is one of the most well-known bookmakers in the UK. Despite being founded this side of the millennium, its presence in sports is among the best and there are many reasons for this. Streaming is available across a range of sports, which is very handy, but the main selling point is the site's frankly incredible range of markets.
Having said the above, we experienced some issues when depositing and withdrawing funds. The latter process took a very long time, about two days, and it must be said that the minimum deposit (as well as withdrawal) limit could be a whole lot better. In short, the feeling is that 888 does not live up to its full potential.

888Sport is part of the successful 888 Holdings brand - now named Evoke plc - which is registered on the London Stock Exchange. Having been in business since 2008, the site has always attempted to offer a safe, secure and fun gambling experience to millions of punters.
The bookmaker focuses on the sports markets, whilst its sister brands focus more on casino. This could be slightly off-putting for some punters and players, given most of the best bookmakers now offer an all-in-one product. Additionally, as we shall discuss more in this review, the transactions can be slightly difficult which is not ideal.
Is 888Sport Bet Legit and Safe?
With 888Sport being a notable name in the UK for almost 20 years, we assume that there will be few worries about the safety and legitimacy of the site. However, if there are any concerns, you can be assured about the safety of the site, since 888Sport is licensed and regulated by the UKGC under account number 39028, ensuring that it is completely safe to use.
Unfortunately, the licence does not guarantee quality. Using Trustpilot reviews, we can see that the site holds a rating of 1.2 stars out of five, which is abysmal, and one of the lowest bookmaker scores we have seen on the site, with many complaining about their accounts being shut down after just one big win if that.
888Sport Welcome Offer
Customers signing up to 888Sport will be glad to see a welcome offer available, and it is quite a generous one at that. For depositing and staking £10 at odds of 1/2 (1.50), customers will receive £30 in free bets - a £10 football bet, a £10 horse racing bet and a £10 bet for the in-play markets.
Once the qualifying bet has been settled, your free bets should become available to you, but the site states that there could be up to a 72-hour delay in your free bets coming through. With a seven-day expiration of the bets, this should not affect much, though, and in our test of the promotion, we received the free bets
No bonus code is needed to claim the offer, which is nice. However, the thing that we are most impressed by is the payment methods allowed. Whilst customers cannot use MuchBetter, Paysafecard, Neteller or Skrill for their first deposits, it is rare to see e-wallets allowed. So the ability to use Apple Pay and Google Pay is very nice.

888Sport Promotions
We were impressed by the welcome offer, but what about the promotions for existing customers? Unfortunately, there is a slight drop off in terms of the promotions, and this is rather disappointing.
For horse racing fans, customers will see their bet paid out if the winner is changed at any point, whilst also paying out the original winner. This means if your horse finishes, but is eventually made the winner, your bet will be paid out, which is almost unheard of. Additionally, if your horse becomes a placed horse after a result has been changed, your bet will be paid out which is superb.
Football fans can get a £5 free bet for placing a £10 bet builder, which can be claimed three times per day, which is nice. In addition to this, placing £20 worth of accumulators in a week will see you get a £5 bet due to 888Sport's Acca Club, which is a nice incentive.
The 'Up for 8' promotion is, in our eyes, a worse variation of some of the best prediction games on the market, given eight scores have to be guessed for £10,000, which is a tiny prize for more games in comparison to Sky Bet's Super Six.
888Sport Deposit Methods
There is, as expected, quite a nice range of payment methods available to 888Sport customers, and given how long the bookmaker has been operating, this is understandable. Debit cards are the first option presented to customers, but Apple Pay, Google Pay and some e-wallets like Trustly are also available, which is very nice.
However, the minimum deposit amount is £10 and this is rather frustrating given the move to a £5 minimum by a lot of bookmakers. Below, we have collected everything you need to know about deposits at 888Sport.

How to Deposit at 888Sport
Below, we have put together a step-by-step guide for depositing funds into an 888Sport account, testing the process ourselves on the app which is available on iOS and Android.

As with the deposits, we were taken out of the app to complete our withdrawal request, and there is interestingly a choice of withdrawal methods when completing the process (often you are locked to the deposit method). Finally, you will be displayed a confirmation screen, showing that your withdrawal has been approved, and the site suggests that your money will take at least one business day to be with you, which is rather slow for a bookmaker this size. Especially considering we used a Visa debit card, which is considered one of the fastest methods across the industry.
888sport Sportsbook Review
Customers can expect the best with 888Sport's sportsbook, given it is provided by BetGenius. The provider is working with some of the biggest names in sports gambling, such as Bet365, William Hill and Betway. As a result of this, thousands of markets are available daily across a fantastic range of sports, which is superb.
To determine the quality of the sportsbook offered by the site, we looked at several Premier League games and odds to work out the betting margin, which ranks quite well. In addition to this, there are more than 300 markets offered per game, a very impressive figure indeed.
The Bet Builder tool, which is one of the most popular features of betting apps, is on par with some of the best options on the market. This certainly deserves an xtra mention as some sites are yet to place full focus on the tool.
Whilst there is somewhat of a lack of promotions for horse racing, we were really impressed by the double finish promotion, as stated in the promotions area of the review. Once again, 888Sport boasts a nice range of different markets, most notably across the United Kingdom and Ireland, but also on some international fixtures.
In addition to this, streaming is available on a wide range of these fixtures, and it is to a generally high standard. However, we would prefer if there were slightly more insight on the stream, which other bookmakers provide.
As previously stated, when it comes to the betting margins, the site scores positively (i.e. low). A margin of 5.96% is much better than some options on the market and quite close to the best. If you are unfamiliar, a betting margin is essentially a fee that bookmakers charge for letting you place the bet.
Esports betting sites are on the rise, and 888Sport ensures that customers can get involved in this side of betting, which is only a bonus. Counter-Strike, Call of Duty and League of Legends are among the top games available, but it is worth mentioning that there are others offered as well.
Although the site is named 888Sports, customers can also bet on politics as well as other novelty specials, including Sports Personality of the Year and Christmas markets, which is certainly an interesting addition.

The worst type of criminal bookmaker out there They will happily take deposit after deposit literally thousands and thousands. But the day you actually win they just decide they are not paying you and dont want you as a customer. Whatever proof of funds verification etc you send they eventually just ignore you completely. How they can get away with it I really dont understand. PLEASE BEWARE DO NOT GO ANYWHERE NEAR THESE SCAMMING CRIMINALS

An inept and incompetent company or just plain crooked - take your pick. I have only been with them a couple of months but I have had one of my bets manually modified by their trading desk to reduce it to odds of 1.0 (dont they have controls around inept modifying of agreed bets) which was corrected followed by bonuses not awarded when you meet the waging criteria. Customer service is friendly but fairly ineffectual.
