As football is one of the most popular sports to bet on, especially in the UK, the betting industry has always been fiercely competitive on this front. There are a plethora of bookmakers to choose from, and many of them place a great amount of focus on football. Therefore, we have put together a list of our top ten football betting sites in the UK.
Of course, the list is highly subjective, but there are a few key features that most football enthusiasts will consider essential. Bet builder markets, live streaming and beneficial promotions are a few of them, but it is also important to get the best football odds. While Bet365 is considered fantastic for the former, some might opt for Coral for the regular promotions. Let's dive in!
The number one football betting site for the 2025/26 season in the UK is arguably Bet365. With a long history in the industry, earning both esteem and praise from UK punters, bet365 is always at the forefront of innovation. This has especially benefitted football enthusiasts, with features such as bet builder and early cash out offered on the site, making for a fantastic overall product.
From match results to more niche markets such as player cards or even fouls, bet365 has you covered, and those who like to make use of promotions will not be disappointed either. For example, football fans can boost their acca winnings by up to 70% depending on the number of selections.
It can be argued that the odds boosts are not even needed, with Bet365 having some of the lowest betting margins on the market. Last season, the bookmaker boasted margins of 5.4%. However, for the 2025/26 season, these have dropped to 5.12%
Another popular promotion is called 2UP. If the football team you have backed secures a two-goal lead, the bet will be paid out early as a win. And if that game is part of a multiple bet, such as an acca, the selection will be marked as a winner. Of course, football teams rarely come back to win from a two-goal deficit, but draws are always within reach at that point. In short, it is a great promotion for football fans.
That is just the start of it, as bet365 has also made a name for itself with a comprehensive live-streaming section, offering events from all over the world. Football fans just need to have a funded account to access these, which is a great deal considering the coverage. Even some of the big competitions are offered, which can sometimes cost hundreds in broadcaster subscription fees per year.
Even though bet365 has focused a lot on live streaming, it has not forgotten the in-play features. These are obviously a bit secondary when streaming is offered, but not all football fans are interested in watching the whole affair. The stats and the infographic, therefore, are a great tool to just quickly get a sense of where the game is headed.
In short, bet365 has gone out of its way to offer enthusiasts the most complete football betting product on the market; there is no doubt about that. It is no surprise, therefore, that it has become such a popular choice among UK punters and that it ranks #1 in our best football betting sites list for the season.
Pros
Right behind bet365 in our list of best football betting sites, we find another well-known bookmaker in Unibet. Similar to bet365, Unibet has attracted football punters with many nice features, always putting a great amount of focus on the latest in betting. It was one of the first sites to launch in-play betting, which is a crucial part for modern day football enthusiasts.
There are many markets available for each event, such as player card and player assist, and there is a bet builder that football fans can use to build their own bets. Football markets are usually offered well in advance, even for non-outright ones, and this is stands as another plus for Unibet. After all, devoted football punters may be able to predict the results earlier than others.
As for promotions, odds boosts are regularly offered for top events, but the rest of the promotions are mainly for horse racing. This is something that football enthusiasts will find frustrating, as not even an acca boost appears to be in place. On the other hand, Unibet has clearly decided to focus on having a very high baseline quality for football fans.
In-play betting is one of the key strengths of Unibet, with a great interface that certainly makes the activity fun, and the live streaming section is also very comprehensive. Unibet has even named the service Unibet TV, which tells you enough about how seriously they are taking this part of the site. The coverage is great, with many top events offered, and it can be accessed on all devices. All that is needed is a funded account.
In addition to these 'flashy' features, Unibet consistently offers good odds for the big as well as small football games, with betting margins of 6% on average. This makes it a very good choice for football enthusiasts, with a very complete product on offer. It falls short of bet365, though, given the football promotions offered by the latter.
However, in terms of basic football betting products, you will struggle to find a stronger core than Unibet's. Perhaps, with more focus on adding promotions, customers may start to flock to the bookmaker.
Pros
Cons
William Hill is one of the oldest betting brands around and throughout the years, thanks to its impressive sportsbook, it has picked up a lot of football fans. Those who join the site can expect a massive range of enhanced odds and price boosts, which helps to ensure this bookmaker typically has some of the best football odds in the business.
Without boosts, our betting margins test showed that William Hill has an average of 6.9%, which is a substantial drop from the 7.5% margin offered in the 2024/25 season. It is further strengthened by a great selection of football markets to bet on, which benefits the bet builder feature. The latter should not be underestimated, as many football betting sites suffer from a limited number of markets for bet building.
As for promotions, William Hill has made sure to target football bettors. In addition to a regular bet boost, there is also a boost for bet builders. Punters just need to add 3+ selections for both of these, and with a maximum stake of £20, to qualify for the respective boost, which can be used once a day. If the bet wins, a boost will be applied to the odds. It's nice to see such a boost for bet builders as well, and not just accas.
William Hill also offers live streaming of many football games around the world, such as mainland European competitions and even English cup games. Streaming is not the only reason behind William Hill's pleasant in-play betting experience, though, with a nice big pitch infographic for football games and accompanying stats.
Decent odds, a great bet builder and good live streaming are often all you need to be a top competitor in the football betting industry, and this is the case for William Hill. Perfecting these features is not easy, but it must be said that William Hill has done a great job of attracting more and more football fans over the years.
Pros
Cons
Launched in 2006, Betway has made a name for itself among football punters thanks to various partnerships, currently the main sponsor of the London-based club West Ham. Naturally, a lot of Hammers supporters have signed up on the Betway site along with many other football fans. Having said that, Betway's success is not just a result of its sponsorships.
Decent odds are on offer, with an average betting margin of 6.3%, and there is also a bet builder feature available for most of the games (with many markets as well). Football fans have been favoured here, as Betway has only made the bet builder available for football and not any other sports. The site is bound to expand down the line, but it just goes to show its focus on football.
In terms of promotions, football customers can benefit from Betway Boosts, which are enhanced odds typically offered on the top game from the day's scheduled action. Betway's free prediction game '4 To Score' also has big prizes up for grabs for its customers on a weekly basis, and the opportunity to get a £10 free bet every week through the 'Free Bet Club' is another nice touch for football fans.
Betway's pleasing interface is another reason why the brand has become a very popular choice among UK football punters. The in-play betting, which goes hand in hand with that, is very comprehensive, with a big pitch infographic and all the information you need. This can certainly help football fans place more informed bets during games.
However, live streaming of football games is not a strong point for Betway, with a rather limited coverage unless we are talking about Esports football games. And even though the in-play interface is pleasing on the eye, it does not make up for the lack of the real deal.
With that said, if you only bet on the fixtures in the UK, you will struggle to find a betting site that streams these games live. So, whether you are missing out on much can certainly be debated.
Pros
Cons
Having merged with Ladbrokes back in 2016, after an already long history in the industry, Coral has become a really strong brand among football punters in the UK. The coverage of football games is superb, with plenty of them to choose between, and Coral has understood that football fans want a little bit of everything when betting.
Coral offers great odds for all football games, with our test showing a betting margin of just 5.7% on average, and top events are regularly being odds boosted by the site. There are many markets to pick from as well, with around 200 of them available for the top football games and competitions such as the Champions League. There is also a good bet builder feature, which is important.
In terms of promotions, there are a few notable ones at Coral for football fans. There is a free predictions game called 'Football Super Series', with £100 cash or free bets at stake, in which customers have to accurately predict four match stats from select football games. This is a fun and risk-free promotion, in addition to the already-mentioned odds boosts that are offered.
Live streaming is also offered by Coral and the coverage is actually quite decent. Not as good as bet365, perhaps, but football bettors will find a good amount of games on the site. This is a huge plus for Coral as the in-play section perhaps leaves a bit to be desired, given that the match centre looks quite dull overall and only has a small pitch infographic.
Coral could do with increasing its promotions for football fans, but the great odds and live-streaming service somewhat make up for this. It certainly comes down to personal preference, though, so those who are keen on promotions might even be happier with our number eight on the list.
Saying that, though, several promotions can be used in a football sense. The 'Reward Shaker', for example, offers odds boosts and free bets. Additionally, the 'Reward Grabber' mainly targets casino players, but free bets can also be redeemed by earning Coral Coins.
In other words, if you invest time in the app every now and again, you can get some nice prizes.
Pros
Cons
Virgin Bet is really beginning to make a name for itself in the football betting market, and it is easy to see why this is the case. Launched in 2019, the brand is now starting to do a lot more of the right things, and it could become a prominent option for punters.
It starts with the markets themselves, and bettors will be blessed with more than 150 different selection options on top-level fixtures. However, even 'lesser' fixtures, like some in the EFL, boast strong markets.
There can certainly be gripes with the Bet Builder tool, though. Recently, VirginBet's interface was updated slightly, but rather than making the process smoother, it now feels almost clunky, unfortunately.
Considering it is number six on this list, there needed to be some redeeming factors, and there are. Despite a betting margin of 10.58%, the site regularly offers bet boosts and 'specials', whilst this season it has also started 'Rocket Boosting' odds, in a super boost style.
The biggest reason to try Virgin Bet, though, is the 'Fives' promotion, which runs through the week. Every day, you are given a random Premier League player; if they score, you are given a cash prize. There are, in our view, few better promotions, full stop.
Pros
Cons
BetVictor is one of the oldest betting brands around and just with a quick glance on the site, you can tell that a lot of its customers are football fans. Odds boosts are regularly offered by the site, at a remarkable pace in fact, and this is certainly nice.
After being considered the king of good odds for a long time, our testing last season showed betting margins of 9.2% on average, which was disappointing. However, after re-testing ahead of the new Premier League season's kick-off, we found that the margin had dropped to 7.49%.
Football punters who are looking for the most profit value might not want to turn to BetVictor, even with the lower margins, but there is more to BetVictor to consider. A rather comprehensive in-play section is available on the site, even featuring some of the smaller football games, and there is also a bet builder that can be used for most games. The latter does lack some markets, though, compared to other top bet builder sites.
As for the promotions, BetVictor has opted for something basic but fun with its 'BetVictor Predictor'. Football fans can submit predictions for six selected games every Premier League round, completely for free, with free bets and a jackpot (the latter if all six are right) up for grabs. There is also the weekly 'Loyalty Club', which rewards customers who have spent at least £25 during the week with a free bet.
Some football enthusiasts will be disappointed to find out that there is no live streaming at BetVictor. On the other hand, it is hard to compete with the aforementioned sites on that front anyway. Not to mention that the in-play betting is very comprehensive as well. Then again, you need to provide the full package to rank high on our list.
Overall, we are a bit disappointed with the betting margins at BetVictor, considering the site used to be by far the best on this front. The boosted odds make up for this in some respect, and the foundation of the site is nice for football fans, but BetVictor, for now at least, maintains its spot in this list.
Pros
Cons
Just like number four on the list, Betfred has made a name for itself through various sponsorships and is currently the official betting partner of Manchester United. The brand's history is very long, though, and it has stood the test of time among football fans thanks to good practices. Early payouts for outright bets are some of these, sometimes costing the brand a lot but benefiting football fans.
While the good reputation among football fans obviously plays a part, it must be said that Betfred's football coverage is comprehensive. It is not the best interface we have seen and the odds are not great. However, enhanced odds are offered regularly. Most importantly, there is also a good bet builder feature, called #PickYourPunt.
A popular football promotion on the site is the 'Double Delight and Hat-trick Heaven', with bettors needing to place a 'first goalscorer' bet. In case the latter comes through, the odds will be doubled if the same player scores a second goal, or even tripled if the player gets a hat-trick. There is also an acca boost of up to 50%, and that also includes a refund of up to £10 if one selection lets the acca down.
The in-play features at Betfred for football games could be better, with a rather dull design. Nevertheless, the actual features are strong, with a decent infographic as well as a stats tab. There is also a live-streaming section on the site, but the coverage is not great and this is something that must be taken into consideration.
Overall, Betfred is clearly not the best place for someone who prioritises a nice design and interface. But similarly to our discussion about Ladbrokes, some football fans just want a solid platform to place their bets, and this is something that Betfred provides. It is not the best football betting site, but a top-ten finish is appropriate.
Pros
Cons
Although a relatively new betting site in the UK, having launched in the summer of 2023, BetMGM has made great strides and deserves to be in the top ten for the best football betting sites. The UK version is powered by LeoVegas, resulting in a great foundation, and the American-owned site is an official partner of Manchester City, Newcastle and Wolves. The visibility is already secured, in other words.
The BetMGM site is very pleasing to the eye and there are many football competitions available to bet on. There is a bet builder feature, which is essential, but it could do with more markets for some of the less prominent football games. The betting margins are not the best either, with an average of 8.9% in our test, though certainly not the worst.
As for the promotions available, there is a great acca boost which starts at 10% for just three selections. The maximum stake is £20, though, and the winnings are capped at £1,000. There is also a free predictions game called 'Golden Goals', with an amazing £2m jackpot and £5,000 prize pool up for grabs each week. Football fans just need to predict the scores of the six selected events, and it is completely free to enter.
The in-play section is decent overall and a basic infographic is available for the football games. It is far from revolutionary, though, and this is an area in which BetMGM can improve. There is also no live streaming of football games, which many will be disappointed about. However, the latter is not surprising given that it is still a new betting site.
Nevertheless, BetMGM is one to watch as the decent promotions and great interface could tempt more football fans in the coming months. Not to mention that the BetMGM welcome offer is stellar, but we have not placed too much emphasis on this as finding a new football betting home is all about longevity.
Pros
Cons
Kwiff is one of the newer 'complete' options for the UK market to dig its teeth into. However, it certainly is already making a storm, and it is one of the better football bookmakers open to punters now.
The interface is fantastic, making navigation very quick and easy, with the best fixtures accessible in just a few clicks. However, things update regularly depending on your habits. If you bet on football more, it will be shown more prominently in your app.
Most bookmakers offer a 'Know Your Customer' process when completing a sign-up. However, Kwiff makes more of this, and actually creates a viewable profile for you, so you can track big winners, favourite teams and your favourite sport.
A wide range of markets makes creating bet builders very easy to do, and the experience certainly compares to some of the traditional 'best' options on the market, which deserves praise.
Whilst the betting margins are ridiculously, maybe even too high - sitting around 12% - the 'Supercharge' possibilities of Kwiff make things slightly better. The site will regularly boost odds, sometimes to a ridiculous mark, and this can provide some huge wins.
Pros
Cons
You might wonder, how did we put together the list of the best football betting sites? Although we have already touched on a lot of them, we will break down the five key factors for the ranking below. Without (most of) the following, it is impossible to compete with the best football betting sites out there in the UK.
If you are interested, you can also read about how we rate online betting sites here.
This is without a doubt the most important aspect of a football betting site. Given that football is such a popular sport all around the world, there are many games and being able to bet on most of them is to be desired. Of course, a lot of low-division clashes will often not be available for betting, but the betting markets aspect concerns so much more.
While some betting sites appear to have most of the games available, it is also important to double-check how many markets are available for each game. It is not unusual for a betting site to have around 200 markets available for a single Europa League game, but some sites do struggle to have an adequate number of markets. None of those are in our top ten list, of course, but it is still an important foundation for the ranking.
Betting is supposed to be a fun and rewarding activity for football bettors, and it helps if the betting sites are playing ball. Welcome offers are not that relevant when discussing the top ten football betting sites, as they ultimately have to be good options for existing customers, and this is where promotions come in. Beneficial ones, such as bet365's 2UP, keep football bettors engaged and also help them maximise profit.
When ranking the top ten football betting sites, therefore, we made sure to analyse the different promotions on offer. This is a big reason why bet365 is consistently listed as number one, so far ahead of the competitors on this front. And with acca bets being so popular among football punters, it is clear that the betting sites offering boosts or insurances for these will hold an advantage.
Being able to place a bet mid-game has become an increasingly popular way for football punters in the last few years. It allows football fans to spot opportunities to maximise their profit, such as which team will score next or how many goals there will be. In-play betting, or live betting, is thus very important for football betting sites these days.
In addition to a good selection of in-play markets, the best sites also need to have a good interface for following the game. Even better, a live-streaming service which allows the users to watch the games directly on the betting sites. This is offered by some of the betting sites in our top ten list, and it is no coincidence that these have ended up higher on the list.
With the subscription fees to football broadcasters seemingly ever-rising, the power of a live-streaming service should not be underestimated. Of course, the top UK football events such as Premier League games will not be available for streaming, but a lot of mainland European competitions can be streamed these days.
Similarly to the betting markets, this is another very important factor for football betting sites. It is one, however, that most punters tend to overlook when picking their new home. Betting margins are essentially a fee for letting you place your bet, and there can be quite significant differences between different sites.
With our top ten list, we have done the work for the football punters by placing good weight on the betting margins. Betfred is a good example, offering a solid platform and some very good football promotions. However, the margins were very high and using a betting site with lower margins, such as Coral, will ultimately result in more profit.
It is important to note that while we have tested the sites in the top ten list, betting margins are not permanent and will vary from time to time. It is very possible for a betting site to improve, in other words, and (god forbid) to worsen.
When it comes to betting on football, there are a couple of features that stand out: bet builder and cash out. The former has experienced an exponential rise in the last few years, with more and more betting sites jumping on the train. Cash out, meanwhile, has been around for a bit longer but there are still differences from site to site.
Bet builders are a great way for football punters to maximise their potential profit by combining markets into one bet. For example, you might want to bet on Liverpool to win a game, a specific player to receive a card and over ten corners in the game. This can be achieved with bet builders, and we have also put together a top 10 list of the bet builder sites in the UK.
The discussion is similar for cash out, even though it has been around for longer. All of the football betting sites in our top ten list offer cash out, but it varies a lot when and how it can be used. On Ladbrokes, for example, cash out is not available for every market while bet365 offers advanced features such as partial cash out and automatic cash out.
bet365 has the best bet builder on the market, offering almost all of the game markets in the bet builder as well. This is what most football betting sites, even the top ones, struggle to match.
To me, there's nothing worse than when you sign up for a bookie and the bet builder offering turns out to be subpar. It is such an important part of football betting these days, at least for me, and I wish someone had done the job for me when I started betting. Having learnt the hard way, I made sure to include information on the bet builders for each of the sites in our top 5 list.
We have picked out some of our favourite new betting sites below, based on all the factors mentioned above such as design, promotions, betting margins and so on.
While it is important for football punters to have a good home for their betting activities, it can sometimes be beneficial to jump between betting sites to get the best value possible. However, browsing different betting sites to find the best odds is far from ideal, and that is why we have put together odds comparisons for the top football competitions and games.
From the English Premier League to the UEFA Champions League, we have you covered! All of the main pages are listed below, so simply head over to the one that suits your needs, or tap on 'Compare more football odds' for an even bigger selection.
