Another weekend of League One action has been and gone, so we can now look at the market and how it's reacted to what we saw on Matchday Six.
Below, we have collected the top teams and their respective odds to win the title in the 2026/27 League One season.
This weekend wasn't Sheffield Wednesday's best performance of the season, dropping points against a relegation-threatened Wigan side. Nevertheless, they remain top of the table and it was to be expected, really.
It's a first clean sheet of the season and whilst they should've won - and I'm not just saying that because of my tips - they need to be picking up points when they're available like this. A missed opportunity, yes, but not something that will stop their season completely.
Just a few weeks ago they were 14/1 to win the division, but they're now as low as 6/1, which looks pretty solid.
Huddersfield Town have been the story of League One in recent years for all the wrong reasons. After huge investments, the Terriers have been unable to even reach the play-offs. This season, though, hasn't started differently.
Like Michael Duff and Lee Grant did before him, Martin Drury has started the season strongly (and was actually named the League One Manager of the Month). A trip to Mansfield could've easily been a bump in the road, but they got through it again, taking a vital point on the road.
It means they're the only League One side still unbeaten and teams will certainly be coming to change that. Whilst 13/2 for the title, they're actually the favourites for promotion to the Championship as it stands, it's a good place to be in.
Sitting in third, the Yorkshire trifecta is completed by Bradford City. After last season's achievements, they are quickly shutting down any ideas that their place among the top contenders was a lucky first season, indeed.
A 1-0 win against Notts County in the early kick-off isn't the prettiest result ever, but they can take no fault with it. It means they've got six points from their last six available - after that little slip - and are looking strong.
They're already two points clear of the play-off chasing teams, so if they continue to build on that, who's to say where they could end up.
Below, we have collected the top teams - aside from the big favourites - and their respective odds to finish top 6 in the the 2026/27 League One season.
Maybe this bit could've come in the title-chasing section. However, with Stockport sitting four points off top and Leicester's start, it feels fairer to place them here for now - even if they are the first and fourth favourites to win the league.
Saturday's showing was probably the game of the weekend in the third tier, with negatives coming in bucket loads.
Starting with the winners, Leicester, a 4-3 win is huge. It's a big performance against a team expected to be in the promotion conversation again. However, Russell Martin clearly doesn't have the support of the fans and this win didn't help those thoughts with chants opposing him during the game.
Stockport fans may leave the game as the 'happier' of the two, even if they did lose. A 4-3 loss where their side didn't give up - albeit whilst conceding some poor goals - against the clear favourites for the title is a huge showing. If there were any doubts about them, maybe they've been reeled in somewhat.
It was the game of the weekend, but neither team left in a better place...
Luton have been another of the long standing favourites to go up this season, but they're showing form that suggests that they won't. With two wins in five, this weekend's trip to Stevenage needed to provide something different.
Instead, it showed another patchy side. They've won, drawn and lost. Then, done it again and the defeat to Stevenage now puts them closer to the relegation places than the automatic spots. In fact, they're almost closer to the drop than the top six...
Jack Wilshere needs to find some consistency from here, because this pattern of win, draw, loss isn't doing him or his side any good. In fact, it's seen the Flutter brands push the Hatters' odds out to 11/10 for a top six place...
Aside from the teams mentioned so far, there are quite a few interesting teams putting up a challenge for a top six spot - at the very least.
Cambridge sit fourth and their only loss of the campaign came against Huddersfield. So, they're certainly not a bad side and their place in the top four is justified. Their win against Reading was their second in three games, so their form is impressive enough.
Then, we'll combine Oxford United, Plymouth and Wimbledon, each of whom have taken nine points from the last 12 available. It's pretty impressive form especially for the former and latter sides in there. For Plymouth, they're performing around the right level, considering the pre-season expectations of them.
Below, we have collected the top teams and their respective odds to be relegated in the 2026/27 League One season.
As it stands, Bromley are the favourites to be relegated to League Two - and it's not really a shock considering how many goals they've already conceded this season - but they avoided defeat at the weekend.
Blackpool have flirted with a play-off push recently, but one point from their last nine available has halted that. So, it's not like it's a major result for Bromley. Of course, it's another point on the board, but it's not like they've done it against Sheffield Wednesday.
Put it this way, the fact that they've scored two against Blackpool doesn't make me think that they're going to be staying up... it's more of a worry that they've conceded twice again.
When you look at the odds, Doncaster are still around the 5/2 mark to go down with the best football bookmakers. However, they look woeful. They've not won a single game yet this season, having drawn three and lost the rest.
This weekend, it was another defeat and it came against Wimbledon, who most thought would be a danger for the drop this season. With six goals scored this season, they need to start finding something, but it already looks like it's going to be tough for them to stay up.
Speaking of holding Wednesday to a draw, Wigan did just that - away from home, too - and it's quite a big result for a team that have otherwise underwhelmed this season. Sitting 23rd, they've won just once this season and it's tough to see them adding to that currently.
Of course, a point against the title favourites is not bad at all, but they failed to convert despite their 1.4 xG on Saturday. With six goals this season, they need to be a bit more deadly because they concede goals too often - this weekend aside.
It's a big point, but it must start them off, rather than being a result that we look back on as a missed opportunity.
When looking at Peterborough's recent form, it's pretty dire. They've picked up two points from the last 12 available and that's not exactly a selling point for a side who are going to be looking to stay in League One this season.
Considering they drew against MK Dons - who are also lingering around the bottom four - it's a missed opportunity to leapfrog them and escape the bottom four. However, it wasn't taken and they remain in the drop zone, priced at 9/4 to go down with William Hill.
