Saturday's Free Football Betting Tips & Predictions (September 12)

• Over 2.5 goals - 5/6 at AK Bets

As you'll see this week, the odds are certainly not too kind for this series of tips. Partially because I want to get some more value and also because it's a horrible week of fixtures.

So, my first tip comes in the Premier League, with Crystal Palace vs. Ipswich Town to be something of a goal fest; with over 2.5 goals scored.

Using our BTTS stat sheet, both teams stand out, with four goals per game each this season. Leaky defences meeting offers a chance for us to see a really good game and with a 67% BTTS record, it wouldn't surprise me if there were plenty of goals.

• Both Teams to Score - 8/11 at Betfred

Moving to the Championship, I'm sticking on the goals for now and I think this is a really well priced market. Stoke are defensively ok and without Viktor Johansson, they'd be struggling.

Going forward, they're not terrible either, but I'd not be rushing to back them to win at Vicarage road. So, I think the BTTS gives us a bit of safety in the market.

With a combined 5.34 goals per game on average and a 67% BTTS record, the stats point in our favour here.

• Sheffield Wednesday to Win - 7/10 at 10Bet

My first dive into the Win markets comes in League One, where I'm backing Sheffield Wednesday to beat Wigan.

It's fair to say that the Owls have now adjusted to life back in the third division and they're clearly having fun. A late 2-1 win last weekend came after a 7-2 battering of Bromley and I don't think that form will stop here.

Wigan have struggled so far this season, conceding 11 goals in only five games. It wouldn't surprise me if they were to concede a few more this weeekend...

• Barnet to Win and Over 1.5 Goals - 4/5 at Paddy Power

I'm then returning to Barnet, who I've kept a close eye on this season with my tips so far. Last week, they gave us a winner and I'm hoping this week, we can back them to win...

After three draws on the bounce, they really need to get back to winning ways if they're to remain in the automatic spots - I know it's early to be saying that - and they play an Accrington side who are expected to be in the relegation fight.

Four points in the Reds' last two don't really put me off here, and I think Barnet will show themselves to be a class above.

• Both Teams to Score and Over 2.5 Goals - 19/20 at Ladbrokes

Finally, I've returned to the BTTS and Over 2.5 goals formula used in recent weeks. Here, Ladbrokes are offering just under Evens (at the time of writing) for Both Teams to Score and over 2.5 goals.

Now, this is a clash between two sides in the top nine of League Two, so I expect it to be a close affair.

Goals haven't been ludicrous for either this season, too. York have seen 3.4 goals per game on average, whilst Swindon have seen 2.8. The important thing, though, is the BTTS record. York have had 60% of their games finish with both teams finding the net, whilst the visitors have a 100% record.

Interestingly, all five of their previous fixtures have ended with both teams scoring, too. I think this is a pretty nice price, indeed.
