In this review, we will highlight the pros and cons so that you can make an informed decision about whether to sign up or not.

VBet offers a comprehensive sportsbook with around 40 sports and a great depth of markets, as well as a decent welcome offer to top things off. Those who sign up on the site also have several different payment methods to choose between, and if any issues were to arise, 24/7 customer support is available.

Having said this, the promotions offering section certainly could be better and VBet also does not have an app, which is more or less standard for the bookmakers in the UK. VBet will have to improve on these fronts to really compete with the main betting sites, but it could still be worth signing up just for the welcome offer.

About VBET

Founded in 2003, VivaroBet (VBet) has been in the industry for a long time and first operated in Armenia. It quickly became the most popular bookmaker in the country and in 2006, the online version called VBet.com was launched. Today, the site operates in a number of different countries including the UK, hoping to carve out a spot in a saturated market.

The sportsbook is provided by BetConstruct, one of the leading software providers in the industry, and it thus might look familiar to some punters. The betting site Hollywoodbets, for example, has exactly the same design. Nevertheless, there are some differences between these sites and it is certainly worth digging into these more.

VBet is also the official partner of the Argentinian national team, gaining a lot of attention during the World Cup as Leo Messi's team took home the trophy. The site is also the official partner of Ligue 1 football club Nice, so especially football punters are most likely familiar with the brand to some extent already.

In this review, we will take a look at everything you need to know about VBet, from the promotions available to the withdrawal methods on the site. We we will also highlight the pros and cons so that you can make an informed decision about whether to sign up or not.

Is VBet Safe?

VBet.co.uk is operated by the Malta-based company SCGO Limited, which is also licensed and regulated by the Gambling Commission in the UK. This means that it is safe for punters to sign up on the site, seeing as the site adheres to the industry rules. However, the licence is not always a guarantee of good quality, which is important to keep in mind.

Taking a look at Trustpilot, VBet has a rather poor rating of 1.2 out of five stars. Granted that it is common for betting sites to have poor ratings, this is indeed something to take into consideration. Most customers seem to be complaining about the verification process, as well as having had accounts suspended for no obvious reasons.

VBet Welcome Offer

New customers who sign up at VBet can claim a bet £10 get £20 deal, which does indeed sound good at face value. However, punters should know that the free bets, which are credited as 2 x £10, can only be used on accas (minimum 3+ selections). Some will not see this as a con, though, and especially considering that the qualifying bet is rather simple.

VBet Welcome Offer

In order to claim the free bets, new customers only need to place a £10+ acca with 3+ selections as their first-ever bet on the site. There are no odds requirements, which is often the case even with the best welcome offers, which goes for both the qualifying bet and the free bets. The first free bet (£10) must be placed within 14 days to unlock the second free bet (£10).

VBet does state that only some payment methods are eligible for the offer, and customers who sign up will be given more information on that once the option to claim the welcome offer arises. Overall, VBet's welcome offer is decent especially considering there are no odds requirements, which is something we almost always see on other sites.

VBet Promotions

Taking a look at the promotions sections at VBet, it is clear that football punters have been favoured. There is an 'Acca Club', which includes four different promotions such as boosted winnings through a free bet, or a free bet if the acca is let down by one or two legs. Punters who want the full T&Cs on these should check out the sign, but the terms are certainly not bad at all for these.

VBet Promotions

There is also a promotion for the prestigious football tournament Champions League, offering punters a £1 free bet for each goal that is scored in the game they have bet on. The minimum stake to qualify is £10 and it must also be placed pre-match. It is quite easy to qualify for this one, in other words, and it could be fun for some punters even though the reward is nominal.

Horse racing punters will also be able to make use of best odds guaranteed for UK and Irish races, while First Past the Post is also in place. In addition to this, odds are regularly boosted on VBet and punters who are looking for these odds will be able to find a 'Boosted Odds' tab on the sportsbook homepage.

VBet Deposits

Potential new customers will be happy to hear that VBet has a very good selection of payment methods, with standard debit cards as well as e-wallets allowed on the site. Punters who like to deposit with PayPal can do just that, and other popular e-wallets such as Neteller and Skrill can also be used on VBet.

Paysafecard is a notable omission, at least to some punters, but there are other sites for that payment method. Below, we have collected everything you need to know about the deposit methods at VBet:

  5. Tap on 'Deposit' to complete the request

VBet Withdrawal

Just like with the deposits, there are many options for punters at VBet but as is the case on any other UK betting site, customers need to withdraw the money with the same method they used to deposit funds. At least the deposit amount must be withdrawn using the same method, so this is worth keeping in mind.

Those who like fast withdrawals from betting sites can opt for one of the e-wallets at VBet. Below, we have collected everything you need to know about withdrawals at VBet.

Payment Method Minimum Withdrawal Processing Time
Debit Cards (MasterCards, Visa) £10 1-3 business days

How to Verify an Account at VBet

As with all betting sites that are regulated by the Gambling Commission, VBet has a KYC (Know Your Customer) process in place to verify the identity of its customers. VBet aims to conduct this process automatically, using the information provided in the registration form, but sometimes customers may be asked to provide one or more of the following:

  • Proof of ID: Passport, National ID Card, Driver's Licence or Birth Certificate.
  • Proof of Address: Driver's licence, utility bill, bank statement or tax bill

Customers who need to provide additional information will be notified by VBet, which will provide information on what is needed and how to submit the document(s). It is important to comply with this process as failure to do so could result in an account suspension. As discussed under the 'Is VBet Safe?' section, this has happened to other customers in the past.

VBet Sportsbook

Given that the sportsbook is provided by BetConstruct, punters are right to expect a comprehensive sportsbook and this is indeed the case at VBet. There are almost 40 sports to bet on, in addition to some special markets, and this means punters are likely to find anything they are after. Football and tennis, though, appear to be the top sports.

Using a Premier League game as an example, given that it is often a good reference, VBet had an impressive 600 markets available for a game during our testing. This is indeed a high figure and certainly among the best football bookmakers, even if it didn't make it on that list. There is also a bet builder feature which has all the markets you need. In short, the football offering is indeed strong.

VBet Sportsbook

Taking a look at the betting margins, which is an important aspect that many punters tend to overlook, our testing showed an average of 4.56%. This is among the lowest in the industry but it should be noted that some of our samples were odds boosted. We decided to include these as VBet regularly offers boosted odds, and punters have a good chance of getting great odds.

Horse racing enthusiasts will find a decent section with races from all over the world, and best odds guaranteed is also in place for UK and Irish races. However, streaming is not offered by VBet, which is a bit disappointing. As for tennis, the coverage is indeed decent with up to 80 markets per game but it is not considered among the top tennis betting sites.

Aside from sports, there are some TV betting markets such as Big Brother and punters can also place bets on politics, including the outcome of the next US election. There is also a separate section for Esports, which is great considering that punters are increasingly interested in betting on Esports and games.

Football Markets (Premier League Game) 500-600
Betting Margins (Average) 4.56%
Horse Racing Coverage (Countries) UK & Ireland, US, Argentina, Chile

VBet Mobile App

At the time of writing, VBet does not have an app in the UK for iOS or Android. The brand does have a few apps around the world but these are limited to certain markets, and VBet is yet to expand into the UK on that front. This is certainly disappointing as most punters prefer to be on an app these days, and it is something that the brand must work on.

Those who want an app can take a look at the best betting apps available instead, with plenty of good options to choose between. The well-known brand bet365, for example, has a great one that all punters should at least check out.

VBet Responsible Gambling

It has become increasingly important for punters to have a number of safety tools in place, with the risk of gambling addiction being ever-present. Since the Gambling Commission has been clamping down on social responsibility failures in recent years, most betting sites have several tools in place and the following are available on VBet:

  • Deposit limits (Daily, weekly, monthly)
  • Reality checks
  • Time outs
  • Self-exclusion
  • And more

VBet encourages its customers to start with deposit limits as these can go a long way in preventing overspending. Customers can also find more information about responsible gambling on VBet's dedicated 'Safer Gambling', which also has the contact details for third-party organisations such as Gamcare.

VBet Customer Support

New and existing customers at VBet will be happy to hear that support is offered 24/7 on the site via the live chat function, which is probably the most popular way to contact the support team. It is also possible to contact the latter via email, as well as by phone, so it must be said that VBet is at the forefront among the new betting sites when it comes to customer support.

Customers can easily find all of these options by heading over to the 'Contact Us' page on VBet, which has all of the details listed. However, if you do not want to go through that hassle, we have also listed all of the details about VBet's customer support in the table below:
