Jackpot Joy was one of the first online casino sites in the UK, having been founded in 2002. Now, almost 25 years on from its creation, the site has started offering sports betting too.
In this review, we put the site to the test by signing up, verifying our account, depositing real money, placing bets and withdrawing funds.
Our unique BL Score also combines real user tests from Trustpilot, app stores and the editorial team to give a full, honest look at Jackpot Joy.

Jackpot Joy is one of the better casino sites to add a betting platform to its offerings. Indeed, you wouldn't really be able to tell that it is one of the newer sportsbooks on the market.
Of course, there are a few flaws, but they are mainly navigational. The general feeling is a positive one and that cannot be stressed enough. After all, it is not trying to compete with the best sports betting options. Instead, it is attempting to offer customers another solid option.
The library and markets offered across the sportsbook and casino are broad and the promotions are also pretty good. As previously stated, there are a few navigational issues and some payment flaws (lack of methods), but besides those, this is a great option.
As a final sweetener, the fact that withdrawals are completed in less than an hour (43 minutes in our test!) is another strong point.

In an age where the UK has more online casino options than ever before, there needs to be ways to stand out. So, despite being one of the 'OGs of Online Bingo Games', Jackpot Joy has opted to branch out further.
The site launched in 2002, being the first to offer online bingo amongst other casino games and in the almost 25 years since its creation, it has continued to strengthen.
However, that is not enough to take on the biggest brands. So, Gamesys Limited opted to invest further in the site with the introduction of a sportsbook in 2024.
But has the introduction of a sportsbook been successful and does it benefit the overall product? Well, that's what we wanted to see. In this review, we look at the sports and casino products, as well as the overall experience.
It is no surprise that Jackpot Joy finds itself listed on Gamesys Operations Limited's UK Gambling Commission license (account number: 38905). After all, the site is owned by the company, which is a derivative of Bally's Corporation.
Indeed, this license hosts each of the sites that Bally's/Gamesys owns. So, it sits alongside Monopoly Casino as well as Bally Bet & Casino.
In short, it is a safe and legit casino and sportsbook. All the relevant licensing is held and recognised.
There have been almost 2,000 Trustpilot reviews for Jackpot Joy, which is understandable considering it has been around since the early 2000s. However, that does not mean its rating is good.
Unfortunately, the site has a 1.4 'Bad' rating on the site, with 56% of reviews giving it a 1-star rating. It is worth noting that this is common with casinos, though.
Most reviews reference a lack of bonuses, payout issues or RTP faults. In other words, slightly biased and emotional. Here, we don't do any of that and aim to give a completely honest and open review.
There are plenty of casinos listed on the license, so we have no way of knowing which site(s) were at fault. However, Gamesys Operations Limited has been fined by the UK Gambling Commission before.
The company was fined in 2023 for four breaches: three relating to Anti-Money Laundering and one for Social Responsibility Codes of Practice.
Whether Jackpot Joy was involved in this is unknown, but it is less than ideal.
Having been in operation for almost 25 years, we would expect the payment methods offering at Jackpot Joy to be fairly broad. Unfortunately, this is not the case as only a few methods are available.
Those include the standard Visa and Mastercard debit cards. Then, you can also use a bank transfer, Apple Pay and Google Pay. The lack of an e-wallet like PayPal is less than ideal, as is the £10 minimum payment amount.
Below, we have collected everything you need to know about deposits at Jackpot Joy.
| Payment Method | Min Deposit | Max Deposit | Deposit Fee | Processing Time | Triggers Bonus |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Visa | £10 | Not specified | No fee | Instant | |
Mastercard | £10 | Not specified | No fee | Instant | |
| Apple Pay | £10 | Not specified | No fee | Instant |
Below, we have put together a step-by-step guide for adding funds to a Jackpot Joy account.
Depositing at Monopoly Casino & Sports is really simple. You will be prompted to make a first deposit initially. However, you can always tap the 'Deposit' option shown around the app.
As seen below, it is prominent in the top right corner of the screen.
Following this, you will be asked to choose a deposit method. Again, the options aren't spectacular and we chose to use a debit card.
Then, enter the payment details for your card. If you are using Apple Pay, you can obviously bypass this step!
Finally, enter the amount that you would like to deposit and confirm it. In some cases, you may have to verify the payment. However, it does not take long.
It is nothing new for betting/casino sites to be restrictive when withdrawing funds, in the sense that you must have used a method to deposit in order to withdraw with it.
Nevertheless, you could definitely have complaints about the £10 minimum amount, which is far from the best on the market. At the very least, the speed of the payments is a redeeming factor, with the money arriving after 43 minutes in our test.
Below, we have collected everything you need to know about withdrawals at Jackpot Joy.
| Payment Method | Min Withdrawal | Max Withdrawal | Withdrawal Fee | Withdrawal Time |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Visa | £10 | Not specified | No fee | 43 minutes in our test |
Mastercard | £10 | Not specified | No fee | Within 24 hours |
| Apple Pay | £10 | Unspecified | No fee | Within 24 hours |
If you are new to Jackpot Joy, or perhaps want to see the withdrawal process before signing up, you can take a look at our step-by-step guide below:
Located in a similar position to the 'Deposit' button, tap the 'Profile' icon to bring up the 'Shortcuts' area. Then tap 'Withdraw' to enter the cashier. Incredibly quick, it is worth saying.
After entering the cashier, you will be shown a list of available methods. Of course, you can only select a method which you have used previously.
Finally, enter the amount that you would like to withdraw, then confirm your request.
We were left waiting 43 minutes in our test, which is a really strong result when using a Visa debit card. Indeed, this was quicker than its sister site.
In recent years, Gamesys has looked to expand its horizons and the deal with Kambi shows this. Indeed, headline brands like BallyBet, Monopoly Casino, and others are now offering the Kambi sportsbook.
It appears Jackpot Joy was one of the first to do so, launching its sportsbook in 2024, with others following since. So, that would suggest that the launch was enough of a success to carry things over.
However, how is the actual experience on the sportsbook?
Starting with the availability of different markets, Jackpot Joy is rather impressive. There are around 30 sports available, ranging from football to racing to water polo. Virtuals, e-sports and 'specials' are also supported, so you will struggle to find something that is not offered.
Saying that, though, finding the different sports can prove to be a little difficult. There is no sidebar listing as you would usually find on a betting site, but instead they can be found in the 'Explore' section.
Maybe it is a bit picky of us, but it would make things easier if the options were presented on the home page.
Betting margins of 5.91% on average are pretty solid too. It is slightly higher than some of its sister sites, but not enough to make you go to them instead.
In terms of the betting experience itself, there are a few complaints, but nothing major. The football markets are extensive and this can be seen as a negative, perhaps.
Rather than them being designed to show the upcoming fixtures, it shows every league at a time, often with games showing weeks in advance. So, it sometimes is an unpleasant experience there.
The markets offered are pretty generous, though, and the same can be said when using the Bet Builder tool.
Additionally, we found great pleasure when using the horse racing area. There are several markets offered, including win, places, length bets and more. Whilst every course from the UK and Ireland is covered, with some international tracks too.
Furthermore, antepost markets are available early on. So, you can get bets for the Grand National and Cheltenham on early! Definitely some areas to improve, but undeniably a solid bookmaker.
When looking for a casino to try, you want to have everything laid out for you simply and Jackpot Joy does that. Everything is presented nicely, with the interface immediately striking you.
The sections are organised well and you can quickly get an idea of which games are popular on the site.
If you are struggling to find what you want to play, though, do not fear! Indeed, the site has a search bar for game titles. Of course, it would be nice if there were a provider search tool, but alas.
In terms of the other offerings from the casino, there is a fantastic library of 'Live Casino' options. Again, a range of providers are hosted, so you can play a number of popular game shows. Additionally, there are plenty of live card and table games, such as roulette and blackjack.
Recently, we have seen a surge in popularity for scratch and arcade games, and if they are your forte, you will be accommodated here. There are more than a few Plinko and Aviator-type games to keep you entertained.
Considering its roots as a bingo site, it is also worth taking a close look at this area. When we looked, there were more than 15 different games active at one time, with a few hundred players.
Tickets ranged from £0.02 to £5 in some games, with free games also taking place for prizes as high as £3,500!
Plenty of the Gamesys operations have apps on the iOS and Google Play Stores and Jackpot Joy is no different. In fact, it is popular on both platforms!
On the Play Store alone, there have been more than 500k downloads since its creation and reviews are certainly glowing, a nice change compared to the Trustpilot score!
With 31k reviews on the iOS App Store, Jackpot Joy boasts a 4.7 rating, whilst it has a 4.5 star average on the Play Store from 15k reviews. A combined 47k reviews ranking it at 4.6 stars out of five is massively impressive. There can be no denying that.
When we tried the app, we would join players with rating it highly. Indeed, the experience was smooth, it was easy to navigate the different areas and placing bets was quick.
Slots were responsive and heading to deposit and withdraw was a pleasant experience that took minutes, if that. All in all, a very, very good offering from Gamesys Limited, on both iOS and Android.

The 'Help and FAQ' area is really positive at Jackpot Joy, even if on a different website. Alternatively, it could be suggested that having a dedicated 'help' site is only a positive.
In terms of the quality of the area, the FAQ section is superb. There are eight different categories to seek support on, as well as a few 'Top Questions', such as 'When will I receive my withdrawal'...
Additionally, a search bar is present to help streamline the process even more. Of course, this is something to be appreciated.
If you'd like to speak to someone from Jackpot Joy, there are two ways to do so. Firstly, you can use the on-site live chat, which initially connects you with a chatbot.
Alternatively, you can email the site. There are, again, two options here. Either you can email them through the site, or via the email shown below.
