Bet UK Review (December 2023)

Bet UK is making a play for British sports fans, with the combined online casino and sportsbook site, which is part of the LeoVegas Group, looking to sign up as many new users as possible.

While LeoVegas is known around the world as one of the fastest growing online gambling sites, Bet UK has a much smaller profile but that could soon be all set to change quickly.

Bet UK has a strikingly clean design and navigation system while live sports streaming is also up for grabs for Bet UK customers, which is a big tick in the box.

As part of LeoVegas Gaming, Bet UK is licensed and regulated in Great Britain by the Gambling Commission under account number 39198 which means it is safe to use for British sports fans.

Those considering signing up for an account at Bet UK might still have a few questions about the betting brand that they want to be answered first, so read on for our full Bet UK review.

Introduction to Bet UK

Bet UK is a key part of the LeoVegas Gaming strategy to break the UK market, with the company having focused on the betting brand's growth in the country in the last few years.

Bet UK has a fairly new sports betting site having launched back in 2018. Gustaf Hagman, LeoVegas AB Group chief executive, said: "Since its start LeoVegas has adhered to a successful, global brand strategy. In larger markets, this can be complemented with a local multi-brand strategy. The UK market is very large and mature, which creates scope to work with more brands that attract different types of customers. "We are now taking the next step and launching a brand that has sports betting as its primary focus. BetUK.com is a premium domain with a very strong link profile that ranks high on Google and other search engines. It is a very exciting move, and I am convinced that it will be a success with strong and sustainable growth."

UK Casino, 21.co.uk and SlotBoss are also part of the LeoVegas umbrella company, with Bet UK having been announced as Swansea City's official shirt sponsor - and the principal betting partner - for the 2018-19 season in which the team was plying their trade in the Championship.

Bet UK has also snapped up a number of leading names as brand ambassadors in order to increase the public profile of the site. TV personality, DJ and Irish model Vogue Williams may seem like an unusual fit as a betting brand ambassador, but Bet UK snapping up British horse racing trainer Neil Mulholland makes sense as the firm builds its appeal to fans of the sport.

While a wide range of online casino games, slots and live casino games are also available here, what can users expect if they sign up for an account at Bet UK's sportsbook? Let's take a look.

Sports, Markets & Betting Margins

With so many different online betting sites out there in the UK these days, betting brands have to offer attractive betting sign-up offers and there is a £30 free bet up for grabs at Bet UK. This is a strong opening offer for new users and the good news is it is backed up for existing customers.

Bet UK has a range of betting bonuses available to use with free bets up for grabs on a regular basis. This helps to encourage sports fans in the UK to make repeat visits to this sportsbook. Deals on the table here also include users being given a 10% profit boost that gives people the chance to score up to £1,000 in extra winnings from their wagers at the Bet UK site. Acca boosts of up to 50% are up for grabs too, so the betting bonuses here are plentiful. Special price boosts and enhanced odds are also offered on a regular basis to increase value.

Football is the top sport to bet on at Bet UK, as is the case with most top betting sites these days. Leagues, cups and competitions from a huge range of countries are available to bet on, including the likes of Costa Rica, Ethiopia, Mongolia and Peru. To put it simply, if there is a match taking place in the world, the odds are that Bet UK will have a market for it. There are also plenty of transfer and manager specials for those who like to place wagers on these too. Football fans who like to place wagers well in advance can do so, with more than 100 different markets available for some games weeks before the kick-off, so planning ahead is easy here.

Horse racing betting is another leading sport at Bet UK, which has live streaming for the sport of kings. Some greyhounds live streams are available too, so this is more good news for people who are thinking about signing up for an account at Bet UK. For racing, there are meetings from around the world offered on the Bet UK sportsbook, not just from top famous UK and Irish racecourses.

Esports betting sites are growing rapidly in popularity in the UK, with Bet UK having markets for Dota 2, CS:GO, League of Legends, Rocket League and Valorant among others. Minor sports such as chess, lacrosse, water polo and trotting are included on the list of sports to bet on here as well. Bet UK also has some TV and novelty markets to check out, such as reality shows like Love Island, as well as the Oscars, who will be the next James Bond and the BBC's SPOTY award. Elections from around the world are also available to bet on in the politics section at Bet UK too.

LeoVegas has long claimed to be a "mobile-first" online betting company, with Bet UK looking to thrive in the live in-play department as a result, especially for those who download Bet UK apps. Checking out the live in-play offering at Bet UK, users will find plenty of options. Tennis fans, for example, will be presented with a graph showing where the ball is on the court, while there is a decent amount of data and statistics on offer to help people to decide where to put their money.

Bet UK might have a way to go to be considered one of the biggest betting brands around, but the sportsbook makes a solid impression. The value of the odds on show is typically good and the strong welcome bonus for new Bet UK customers is backed up by decent offers and deals. With live streaming for horse racing and greyhounds in place, as well as two very good mobile betting apps for iOS and Android, there are a lot of reasons to sign up for an account at Bet UK.

As for the betting margins, Bet UK did not perform well in our independent tests, with a margin of 7.25%, which is much higher than the industry average. The overall sports betting product is pretty decent, but the margins are where BetUK.com lets us down.

Bet UK Casino Review

Even though Bet UK has made a strong play with its sportsbook, the casino side of things is still likely to be seen as the priority here. Games from most of the leading studios and developers in the business are available to play at Bet UK's online casino. Among those to have their games featured here include the likes of Quickspin, IGT, NetEnt, Red Tiger, Evolution and Wazdan.

Live casino games are among the most popular in the UK these days, with the Bet UK site offering plenty of live dealer tables including a few exclusives that will not be found elsewhere. Live casino fans are able to pick from the old casino classics such as roulette, blackjack and baccarat, as well as other games such as Crazy Time, Monopoly and Deal Or No Deal. Live poker games are also available, which is good news as Bet UK does not have a poker site.

It is slots that make up the majority of the games that can be played at the Bet UK casino, though. An impressive selection of titles includes well-known games such as Rainbow Riches, Big Wheel and Rainbow Jackpots, while there are plenty of progressive jackpots to try out too.

While there are hundreds of slots offered, it is not particularly easy to navigate around here. There is a search function that can be used to find a specific game and users can also type in the name of a game provider to filter the selection. But while a lot of top online casinos in the UK have a menu system with pages for new games, popular games and so on, Bet UK does not.

Jackpot slots from the likes of Blueprint, IGT and Red Tiger Gaming are always going to be among the most popular games to play at the Bet UK casino. Due to the fact they share the same jackpot, it is often the case that millions of pounds in prizes are up for grabs here. Fishin' Frenzy, Cop the Lot, Reel King Mega and The Great Train Robbery are some of the best jackpot slots included in the impressive library of games at the Bet UK casino site at the present time.

Table games have been neglected at some UK online casinos, due to the rise in interest in live dealer games in recent years, with Bet UK offering a small selection in this area. Table games include blackjack and roulette, while there are first-person versions of popular live dealer titles such as Dream Catcher and Deal Or No Deal available to check out at Bet UK, which is good. Instant win games such as Slingo Starburst, Book of Slingo and Deal Or No Deal Slingo are also listed in the Bet UK library, with about 20 different options to check out in this department.

As well as a solid enough welcome bonus for new players considering joining Bet UK's online casino, there are other promotions designed to convince users to return. However, there is no VIP rewards scheme in place at this casino site, so perhaps Bet UK is missing a trick here. One of the only betting bonuses for existing customers sees users offered a £5 bonus if they stake £50 cash on live casino games, which is not the most generous betting bonus around right now.

Overall, Bet UK's online casino is a solid option, though the lack of a VIP rewards scheme and relatively few betting bonuses for existing customers, unfortunately, do count against the site.

BetUK.com Customer Support

A handy help centre should be the first port of call for anyone who needs to access Bet UK customer support, as this area is home to a comprehensive frequently asked questions section.

Bet UK customers will be able to find detailed answers to common queries on everything from safety and security matters such as privacy and GDPR through to how Bet UK deposits and withdrawals work, detailing any important terms and conditions that need to be mentioned.

For those who cannot find the answers they want in the help centre, there are two main ways to get in touch with Bet UK customer support, which does not have a telephone number to call.

Live chat can be accessed via an icon in the bottom-right corner of the screen, with agents generally fast to respond and able to resolve issues. Depending on the time of the day a user is trying to reach Bet UK live chat will depend on how long it takes to be connected, though.

Email is the other main way for users to contact Bet UK customer support. The email address to use to send a message to Bet UK's customer service agents is support@betuk.com. While Bet UK does have a presence on social media sites such as Twitter, these are not used for CS.

Bet UK Payment Methods

Anyone thinking of joining this UK online casino and sportsbook site will probably want to know more about the different Bet UK payment methods that are available to be used in the cashier.

Unfortunately, it is fair to say Bet UK has a fairly limited range of top banking options available. Credit cards can no longer be used to deposit funds into online gambling accounts in the UK, of course, but Visa and MasterCard debit cards can still be used to make deposits here at Bet UK.

Bank transfer is seen as quite an old-fashioned way to add funds into online casino accounts by a lot of players these days, but this is still able to be used at Bet UK, along with PayPal. But while a lot of other top online casinos and sportsbooks have many other e-wallets available - such as Skrill, Neteller and so on - PayPal is the only available option at Bet UK at this time.

Bet UK has not yet enabled pay via phone bill to be used as a payment method either, while the site is lagging behind rivals that have made Apple Pay and Google Pay possible to use as well. It goes without saying that anyone who is hoping to use cryptocurrency such as Bitcoin to make a deposit at Bet UK is going to be disappointed as the list of banking options is so limited here.

There is some good news. Bet UK does not restrict players on the number of withdrawals, but anyone who wants to take less than £10 out of their account will have to contact support to do so. However, as it can take up to five working days until you receive funds, Bet UK is not the fastest to pay out winnings. The minimum amount users can deposit at Bet UK is set at £10.

Bet UK Conclusion

Overall, Bet UK offers a competitive sportsbook with 30+ sports a great range of betting markets and 24/7 customer support. But, the betting margins are high, there are limited promotions for existing customers and no free live streams.

However, Bet UK is only a couple of years old, and in terms of the product offered, it is one of the best new betting sites available at the moment.

WARNING DO NOT SIGN UP TO BET UK - THIS COMPANY WILL SCAM YOU AND LEAVE YOU OUT OF POCKET They will claim you have to click opt in to receive your introductory free bets when you sign up but choose not to honk ur then as they place restrictions on your account and not tell you. They then claim dont tell every customer that signs up that they have restrictions on their account. Worse still you will be waiting for a very long time in their live chat function to raise any issue with their support team. I waited 30 mins and the chat screen randomly refreshed itself and sent me back to the queue. Also when I tried to withdraw my remain funds once I realised these guys were a scam they said I had to send a copy of my drivers licencepassport recent bill and copy of my bank account statement. They will not cancel or refund any of your pending withdrawals and you will be left out of pocket. Worse still they dont have a phone number at all so youre left at the mercy of their terrible live chat function or emailing their support team. DO NOT SIGN UP TO BET UK AT ANY COSTS THEY ARE A MISLEADING SCAMMING COMPANY.If I could give a minus rating I would.
