Our experts have looked at a few names that could be the next Leicester City manager after Marti Cifuentes..
Appointing Russell Martin seems like an awfully backwards move in all honesty - considering how he did with Southampton in the Premier League - so I'm unsure why he is the favourite.
Surely, you would be in a worse position in 12 months time if promotion to the Premier League occurred.
The Englishman did well enough in the Championship with Southampton, but it was by no means an overly successful year, so looking to him feels somewhat ludicrous.
For me, I'd be looking elsewhere in the market, both as Leicester and as a punter, or at least I would hope that to be the case, as Martin feels like a disaster waiting to happen.
Sean Dyche is very much more like it, and I really like the idea of this appointment. Leicester have a heap of problems off the pitch, and a stable coach could do wonders for the Foxes. This is where Dyche would be brilliant.
The Englishman did superbly with Burnley and Everton, with financial difficulties in both jobs, and he gave both clubs a bit of a platform to build from - at the Clarets for himself, at Everton for David Moyes to build on.
It would certainly be interesting to see if he would take a job in the second tier, but I think this could be the best appointment for the club, and reports are already making links to him.
I'd be wary of Danny Röhl's position to be quite frank, considering he has had stronger links elsewhere, and at 4/1, the price is rather unattractive in my opinion, especially considering other candidates are so low too.
If the odds were pushing the 10s mark, potentially it could be a bit of value, but this just feels a bit underwhelming.
A good choice for the next head coach, yes, considering he has worked in difficult circumstances at Sheffield Wednesday. However, I cannot really get on board at this price.
Lee Carsley and Gary O'Neil then round off the top five candidates for the job, and I think either appointment would be a good choice.
Carsley could be looking for a job in club football, and the Foxes would be a fantastic test. Whilst O'Neil has been without work for a while now, this could be a nice re-entry for him.
Barring these five, the odds get quite silly quite quickly, and I'd struggle to see any of the other names of note being put forward.
