Dyche has been in charge for a couple of years, but there has regularly been speculation he could be shown the door at Goodison Park. Here is how his predecessors at Everton got on:
Dyche took over after Lampard lasted just under a year in the dugout at Goodison Park. The former England midfielder had taken charge with Everton 16th in the Premier League table and kept them in the division, but they could only win 12 of his 44 matches in charge of the Toffees.
Lampard at least managed longer than Benitez, with the ex-Liverpool boss sacked after just seven months in charge across Stanley Park from his old stomping ground of Anfield. The Spanish coach struggled to win over Everton fans and a 2-1 defeat to bottom club Norwich sealed his fate with the team just above the relegation zone when he was shown the door.
Everton have not struggled to attract big names, with Ancelotti taking over in December 2019. His arrival was seen as a coup, but while there were highs such as Everton's first win over rivals Liverpool at Anfield since 1999, the Toffees finished a disappointing 10th in his only full season.
Silva has since proven himself at Fulham, but his spell at Everton came to an end 18 months in with the team sitting in the Premier League's relegation zone. A 5-2 loss at neighbours Liverpool was his final match in charge, with the club investing heavily in players during his short reign.
Survival expert Allardyce took Everton from 13th when he was appointed to an eighth-placed finish, but it was not enough to keep his job. The Englishman's tactics were unpopular with fans and the decision-making pair of director of football Marcel Brands and chief executive Denise Barrett-Baxendale, who were both then new to their posts, opted to move on from the veteran.
He had been appointed after a slow start under Koeman, who was dismissed after a 5-2 loss to Arsenal saw Everton drop into the relegation zone. The Dutchman had been backed in the transfer market with £140 million of new players signed, but two wins from nine league games saw Koeman sacked even though they had finished his first season in charge in seventh spot.
We have to go all the way back to Martinez for an Everton manager who has remained in post for more than a couple of years. The Spanish boss led Everton to FA Cup and League Cup semi-finals and led the Toffees to a fifth-placed finish before they had two years of stagnation.
While the next Everton manager betting odds are not yet available, here are some of the other names that could be in the frame for one of the toughest jobs in the Premier League right now.
Rooney played for Everton at the start of his career and he then later returned to Goodison Park towards the end of his playing days before moving into management. His record as a coach has been a mixed bag so far, having done well under trying circumstances at Derby County before being sacked by Birmingham City just three months after taking charge.
He started slowly at Plymouth Argyle but an upturn in form saw him nominated for the Championship manager of the month award after leading the Home Park away from the relegation zone and into mid-table.
England's record goalscorer until Harry Kane usurped him, Rooney would likely need to impress further at Plymouth to earn a job in the Premier League, but Everton links put him in the mix.
Another former Toffees player who could be shortlisted is Carsley, who took charge of England on an interim basis after the departure of Gareth Southgate in the wake of Euro 2024.
Carsley's performance in the Nations League was mixed, with England suffering a shock loss at home to Greece before bouncing back with twin wins as he signed off to allow Thomas Tuchel to move in. Carsley is expected to return to the England Under-21s, but would he fancy a club job?
Moyes has been linked with a return to Everton before and he is out of work after a second spell with West Ham came to an end in the summer of 2024.
Moyes never won over a section of the Hammers fanbase despite delivering European glory and top-half Premier League finishes. The Scot is in his 60s and may not be seen as a long-term solution, but he is a safe pair of hands.
Another available manager with a lot of Premier League experience to call on, ex-Chelsea and Brighton boss Potter has confirmed he is now ready to take on his next managerial challenge.
Potter is linked with every vacancy that arises in the Premier League and his name would be sure to be in the frame whenever the next Everton manager betting odds are published.
The Friedkin Group has previously employed Mourinho at Roma and the Portuguese coach won them a European trophy.
Mourinho has since suggested that he would like another crack at the Premier League having since swapped Italy for Turkey, so could the Everton job appeal to him?
Southgate has said he wants a long break after leaving England and it will be interesting to see his next move.
Links with the Manchester United job came to nothing after Ruben Amorim was named Erik ten Hag's successor.
Southgate is likely to become a firm fixture in manager betting odds markets once he announces the end of his sabbatical and is ready for a return.
Everton were strongly linked with Bielsa the last time the job came up and the former Leeds United boss could be of interest again whenever a replacement for Dyche needs to be found.
But Bielsa is now manager of the Uruguay national team and it could be hard to lure him away from South America, especially given the fact there is a nearby World Cup on the horizon soon.
Bielsa might feel as though he has unfinished business in the Premier League after leaving Leeds in 2022, but like Moyes the veteran is surely approaching the end of his coaching career.
Former RB Leipzig and Southampton boss Hasenhuttl is another manager to have been linked with Everton before, but that was prior to the Friedkin Group assuming control of the club. The Austrian is back in the Bundesliga with VfL Wolfsburg, where he took charge in March 2024.
Corberan has performed well in the Championship with West Brom and he is regularly linked with jobs. Everton might be the club to give him a shot at managing in the Premier League but there is no doubt it would be a step up.
Former England left-back Baines would be an obvious internal candidate and a likely interim choice, following in the footsteps of club icons such as David Unsworth and Duncan Ferguson.
Baines played 420 times for Everton but he would be a bold choice given he has only worked as a youth team coach so far.
The Friedkin Group have shown willingness to hand inexperienced club legends jobs before, having put Daniele De Rossi in charge of Roma in the past.
Sean Dyche's Everton are hovering just above the relegation zone, but he is still not the favourite to be the next Premier League manager to be sacked, with Russell Martin taking that honour.
While the next Everton manager odds are not yet available, that could change fast when the Friedkin Group's acquisition is approved.
