Below, you can find Ben's tips for Bolton Wanderers vs. Stockport County. The odds were correct at the time of writing.
On Sunday afternoon, Bolton Wanderers and Stockport County will make a similar trip to Wembley to face off in the League One Play-Off Final.
This looks like an absolute corker of a game between two of the better sides in League One this season. Neither side really blew anyone away in the play-offs, but they haven't for most parts of the season.
These are two extremely effective sides and this game should be a great one.
Let's dive into our tips for this game.
At the time of writing this, the lineups were not available to us, so I have tried to make some assumptions about the lineup, whilst only tipping players I think will start. It is worth stating here that I would not advise placing any bets until the lineups are out for both teams.
I've stuck around the Evens mark for this set of tips, hoping to have a bit more success.
Now, without further ado, let's dive into my reasoning.
My first tip in this game is for Dacres Cogley to make two or more tackles. In his three games, the defender has made six tackles, which bodes well for our chances here.
With Ibrahim Cissoko, Bolton's expected left-winger on Sunday, getting dispossessed five times in his last three, I think we have a solid chance in what is going to be an open game.
Continuing on the idea of it being an open game, we have our next selection, which is over 24.5 shots in the game. I expect this to be a really open affair, so both teams should be well involved going forwards.
This has landed in 70% of Bolton's last 20 games and whilst Stockport have only managed it in 10 games, they have never been far off (several 20-24 shot games).
This feels like a great price in my eyes, with Stockport being overlooked. So, I am looking to take advantage here.
In 17 of Stockport's last 20 games, they have had five or more corners, and Bolton are fairly vulnerable to conceding them, averaging 4.55 corners conceded per game.
In what is likely to be his final game for the Whites, I expect Cozier-Duberry to lead the team forward here. The winger has been a revelation this season and with Johnny Kenny injured, Bolton need someone to inspire a performance.
With six contributions in his last six games - including one against Bradford in the play-off semi final - he should be able to lead his team forward at Wembley.
This will be a cracking game in the middle of the pitch and it should well be a battle of the midfields. So, I think Rodrigues could get stuck in, as he has all season.
The midfielder has averaged 1.88 fouls per game in his last 10, which is a slight drop from his 2.09 average from the season as a whole.
Nevertheless, I think he will be very happy to make the odd foul here and there. So, 6/5 looks a cracking price.
Predicted Bolton Wanderers XI vs. Stockport County (4-2-3-1): Bonham; Osei-Tutu, Forino, Johnston, Conway; Sheehan, Erhahon; Cozier-Duberry, Rodrigues, Cissoko; Burstow.
Predicted Stockport County XI vs. Bolton Wanderers (4-4-2): Addai; Dacres-Cogley, Wootton, Pye, Edun; Norwood, Bailey, Osborn, Stokes; Sidibeh, Barry
