Saturday's Free Football Betting Tips & Predictions (August 29)

• Both Teams to Score and Over 2.5 Goals - 6/5 at Betway

Starting in the Premier League, my first tip comes in Bournemouth's game against Everton and I'm stepping away from the win markets. Instead, I'm looking at the goals market.

In pre-season, the Cherries saw this land in every single game - they had games with five, seven, 11, four and three goals, each with both team scoring. Then, in their opener against Manchester City, they lost 2-1.

Everton have been a little more solid defensively, but their pre-season still saw a lot of goals.

At above Evens, I think you're getting a very nice price on what should be a very good game...

• Bristol City to Win - 126/100 at 10Bet

I was quite big on Bristol City's chances of being in the Championship Top Eight this season and whilst they've started the season poorly with a defeat and a draw, they can certainly turn it around this weekend.

Portsmouth grabbed a win last time out against Lincoln, so I'm not taking that as a major sign of them being a great side. In fact, I still think they'll be around the bottom half this season...

• Over 2.5 Goals - 1/1 at Virgin Bet

League One is hard this weekend, there are plenty of tough games and I'd rather go for goals in a game rather than taking a random punt. So, I'm going for over 2.5 goals in the Notts County-Burton Albion game.

Starting with the Magpies, both teams have scored in each of their three games this season, with eight goals in three games. For Burton, the case remains, with BTTS landing in all three as well.

Again, they've seen eight goals in three games and this could be a game with goals.

• Salford City to Win - 1/1 at Coral

Salford were the favourites to win League Two and so far they've been woeful. However, they have a golden chance to get their campaign going against Shrewsbury.

So far, the Shrews have looked pretty hopeless this season. So, I think this offers a starting point for the visitors.

I didn't think we'd see them above Evens often this season, especially not against a relegation candidate. As a result, I'm happy to take the price here.

• Colchester to Win - 13/10 at Ladbrokes

Finally, we move to Colchester vs. Rochdale and I'm going for a home win. Rochdale have looked really poor since returning to the fourth tier and I already think they could be a shock of the season in the wrong sense.

Heading to an experienced League Two outfit in Colchester, it's another really tough game for them and they could be see their poor start continue.
