• Lithuania To Win: 13/10 at Bet365

Lithuania were punished for missed doubles in last night's 4-1 defeat to Sweden, but they gave a good account of themselves, averaging 88.19. The duo, led by in-form Darius Labanauskas, could bounce back today if they eradicate their finishing woes.

The formidable duo of Thibault Tricole and Jacques Labre will represent France, and they've certainly impressed over recent years. Labre became the first French player to gain a PDC Tour Card in 2023, followed by Tricole a season later. They both haven't made a huge mark on tour, though, and Labre lost his card at the end of last season.

With Lithuania already having a game under their belt, I think they could catch France cold today if they take their chances. France has proved over the last few years that they work well as a pair, but they are both struggling for form at the moment and could get caught out here.

• Under 5.5 Legs: 5/4 at William Hill

Canada were very poor last night, averaging just 79.04 in a shock 4-1 defeat to Malaysia. They can bounce back today, though, when they face a Denmark side that has historically struggled in this event.

Campbell and Long should have far too much quality for the Danish here, especially as Reus has struggled on TV and Hyllgaardhus is making his debut. I'd be surprised if the Canadians played like they did last night, and they should come through this match with ease.

The USA averaged 72.13 in a 4-1 defeat to Hong Kong last night, and it was clear to see that Jules van Dongen is still struggling with dartitis. He should feel more comfortable today, though, with a game under his belt.

Bahrain has struggled at this level since they made their debut in 2023 and are yet to win a match. If Danny Lauby plays solid enough, Team USA should breeze through this contest with little fuss.

Latvia struggled to deal with the quality of Belgium last night and succumbed to a 4-1 defeat, averaging 82.87. Madars Razma has stated on social media lately that he has struggled to find time to practice after some personal issues. This has caused his form to suffer, and he'll need to be on his A game to carry his country through this one.

The Philippines look dangerous with the duo of Lourence Ilagan and Paolo Nebrida, who have both proved over the last few years that they are very capable on the big stage. I'm surprised they are the outsiders in this contest, and I think they will have too much quality for the Latvians here.

Spain fought well last night, but were powerless to resist the Austrians, who averaged 99.38 in a 4-1 victory. Daniel Zapata and Ricardo Fernandez gave a good account of themselves, though, averaging 86.57, but they face another stern test today against the Aussies.

Australia begins their campaign today, with Simon Whitlock and Damon Heta looking for their second World Cup title. Whitlock has struggled for form over the past few seasons and lost his Tour Card at the end of 2024. The Wizard thrives on representing his country, however, and both he and Damon Heta look like a formidable partnership again this year.

Spain played well yesterday, but the Aussies are experienced in this event and format, so I expect them to come through this match unscathed.
