bwin is one of the oldest and trusted bookies, originally founded in 1997 it had over 20 million different users at one point. The company claims to be “the world’s largest sports betting platform”, but is it the best?
Promotions and Rewards
bwin does not have a wide range of promotions as some other bookies like BoyleSports. But they do have some exciting and innovative offers to choose from.
Be sure to check their promotions page to find the latest offers for new and existing customers.
Appearance and Navigation
bwin’s colour scheme offers a layout that is user-friendly and easy to understand. You will find the sports list down the left side, and they claim to have over 90 different sports available.
But, that seems like a bit of a stretch as we can only see 30+ sports in the list at the time of this review.
You have Football and Horse Racing in their tabs which is handy for those sports lovers. In the different sections of the sports, you will see the countries written and their flag next to it as an emoji. Again, making it very easy to navigate and recognise.
Whilst on the Football page, you can add your desired league/competition to a list on the page. Allowing you to scroll between many leagues for easy bet selection.
No more clicking back to other leagues to find the events, you can have all your favourites on one page. It doesn’t stop at Football either, this feature is available for all sports!
Also, you have a favourites tab. In which you can add your favourite teams to see all the games that they are in. A cool feature to save you time if you want to bet, or just see the fixtures of certain teams that you follow.
The market depth available at bwin is one of the best we have come across. You will find 30+ different sports to choose from in their list. With all the big sports such as Football, Horse Racing, American Football, etc.
Also, some smaller sports such as Bandy, Chess, Biathlon and more. At the time of this review they have over 19,000 different bets to choose from, but also claim to have 30,000 every day.
The depth in markets across the sports are impressive. If you hover over an event, you will see the number of different markets available.
There seem’s to be great depth throughout the different sports too, with tennis having 15 in most matches and basketball boasting 30+.
Somewhere in that extensive list of sports, there are 19,000 different bets to choose from.
Live Betting and Streaming
In the live betting tab, you will find four different tab’s. The first will be your favourites and popular events at that time.
Then, you will see the event view, in which all the currently live events will be on a list by their sport and country.
Then, you have the multi-view feature in which you can add events you want to monitor with all the betting markets visible side by side. You can have only two events at a time in this feature.
Lastly, the calendar tab. In this, you can search by sport or the day of the event. It is a handy tool to help you look at upcoming events all in one page.
Once you find the event you want to bet on, simply click on it. You will see the usual infographic to the right with basic live stats. There is nothing special about the layout of this, but it can be said that the markets are well organised and easy to add to your bet slip.
bwin has an extensive list of sporting events available for live streaming. An awesome feature that I see as a very important bonus to live-betting. There is nothing better than watching your selection win live.
All you need to do is log-in to your bwin account and have credit in your account or have a bet on that event. bwin claim to have over 1000 live games a month to watch with over 50 a day from 20 different sports.
bwin Betting App Review
Firstly, at the time of this review, horse racing is not available on both their mobile platforms. Instead, you will have to use their desktop site.
The app and mobile site are almost the same but on the app, you can get personalised promotions and activate touch ID for fast betting. Plus push notifications to keep you updated on the scores and outcomes of events.
Both the app and mobile site are user-friendly and fast and you can get access to 1000’s of live streams a month on both mobile platforms. Also, you can find the customer service on both in the top-left hand menu under help.
All in all, bwin has two awesome mobile platforms to choose from. The app is great for fast and secure betting on the go whilst watching live streams. However, if you are unable to download the app the mobile site is just as good. It will just take longer to log in each time.
If you should encounter a problem with your account or have questions about your bets. bwin offers support for its customers in different ways. Employees are available via email, a live chat or on the phone between 10 am and 10 pm.
That being said, for how big bwin is, they certainly need to add a 24/7 customer support option.
We have seen mixed reviews about their customer service and it’s a shame as it seems to be one of their only issues. They should look to emulate award-winning services like Mr Green.
In conclusion, bwin is a terrific site for all types of punters. A good selection of promotions combined with a huge variety of sports and markets to choose from.
Their live-betting features allow great customisation and navigation couldn’t be much easier. Also, over 1000 live games a month to stream is a big plus.
Their only real downfall is their customer service which is a key part of the service they offer. So that is a real shame.
However, if you are looking for a reliable, trustworthy gambling site that offers more sports than any other and live streams to go along with the betting action, Bwin is the right place for you.
