Betfred Extra Places Explained
Avid horse racing punters will be familiar with each-way betting - if you are not, our guide offers some insight into what it is, and how it can be used to make money when betting on these fixtures.
There are normally a set amount of each-way places available, depending on the number of horses running, and normally, the maximum amount of places offered is four. However, Betfred offers up to five places on certain races, which is fantastic.
It is not only these races where places are increased, though. On certain races where two horses would normally place, the bookmaker offers three, and so on, with five places being the most they will offer for one race.
Whilst the odds remain the same, with the bookmaker offering 1/5 odds, it is definitely something which can be used to punters' advantage in the right conditions.
How to Use Betfred Extra Places

Betfred requires you to be an account holder with them to take part in this promotion, so the first step is ensuring you are signed into your account.

Finding races with extra places is very easy - Betfred will highlight the races where the extra places are available. Unfortunately, there is not a way to see all of the qualifying races in one place, at least on the Betfred app.
