Summary

Paddy Power is rapidly approaching its 40th anniversary having first launched in 1988. Having shown great adaptability to not only survive but thrive through a ferociously changing landscape during that time, the brand is now widely thought of by punters and sports fans alike.

Should it be though? We conduct a thorough Paddy Power sportsbook review to answer that question.

Early Payout/2-UP in the UK

In recent years, we have seen quite a few bookmakers offer a number of new promotions on football. However, the one with the biggest value is probably the 2-Up/Early Payout promotion. Across different bookmakers, it goes by different names, but the idea remains largely the same.

Put simply, when you place a bet on a team to win, you get extra insurance. If your backed team goes two goals ahead, the bet is paid out as a winner regardless of the final result. Of course, this is a massive incentive, and we have seen some bookmakers pay out all results in one game as a result.

Nevertheless, we would recommend reading our assessment of the best early payout betting sites below. Then, you can make a decision depending on what you need.

Best Early Payout/2-UP Betting Sites - Our List

Below, we have listed our favourite 2-up betting sites in the UK, relying on several key factors (more on those below) in our assessment of each. Hopefully, this means we have the most up-to-date as well as relevant list around.

bet365 logo

🥇 #1 Bet365

The best, and probably most well-known 2-UP promotion is provided by Bet365. To our knowledge, it was the first bookie to offer such a promotion. The site boasts incredible markets, with the feature available on most, as well as other sports.

In fact, the site offers the promotion on more than 80 different leagues, which is, quite frankly, phenomenal. As well, it works when doing accumulators and that adds a lot of value to the promotion.

Past this, it ranks as our favourite sports betting site, so having it at number one here feels like a no-brainer, really. All in all, a fantastic option for football betting, and the inclusion of the 2-UP promotion strengthens this.

🥈 #2 BoyleSports

BoyleSports is a bookmaker with a wavering reputation, first starting out in Ireland before expanding into the UK. However, whether it ranks among the top options in the country is certainly debatable.

Nevertheless, we are here to speak about the promotion, rather than its place in the industry's food chain. BoyleSports' 2-UP promotion applies to single and multiple markets, and there is a max payout of £50,000, so it is very generous.

🥉 #3 Virgin Bet

Virgin Bet is certainly the least-known option listed here, but it consistently punches above its weight. It is one of our favourite up-and-coming bookies in the UK, as our review of the app highlighted, and the 2-UP promotion can be found on the site.

While the promotion is technically not available for all games, punters can still access it on more than 50 notable competitions. In other words, you should ever really have the issue of it not being available.

Ladbrokes logo

#4 Ladbrokes

Ladbrokes is another example of a well-known bookmaker in the UK. Turning the brick-and-mortar operations into an online success, there is certainly a lot of expertise involved. So, the fact that the promotion is offered is not a surprise.

Throughout the season, customers can find the '2Up & Win’ promotion, and whilst it is only on selected games, we find that it is still regularly available on the biggest fixtures. In other words, you need not worry about its availability.

William Hill Logo

#5 William Hill

William Hill has always been a great option for betting, and the fact that the early payout promotion is available attests to that. The only complaint we would have it that 'regular' 90-min markets are still available, so you need to look twice.

Barring that, though, there is a lot of value in the markets and the betting margins are usually at a reasonable level. Additionally, there are regular price boost promotions, which can add further value to your bets!

betano logo

#6 Betano

Betano is another site that offers the early payout promotion, despite the fact that none of its sister sites do. Nevertheless, while available for most competitions and games, the bookie changes the odds if you want to use the promotion (much like William Hill).

You also need to make sure that you have selected the early payout 90-min market, otherwise the promotion will not count. In any case, with it being the only BV Gaming site that offers it, we have to give Betano some praise.

Paddy Power logo

#6 Paddy Power

Paddy Power sits at number six on the list, and once again, most of the positives of this promotion are here. However, it sits lowest on the list for a few reasons - mainly because it is a bookmaker that we wouldn't recommend.

Additionally, the betting margins are really high, meaning the value obtained from the promotion is actually rather minimal with Paddy Power. Indeed, there are better options on this list and elsewhere.

How We Decide the Best Early Payout Bookies

When picking the best early payout sites, it actually was not that hard given the low number of sites that even offer the promotion. However, we still feel the need to highlight how the ranking above was decided.

  • Eligible Markets

First of all, the most important thing was the eligible market for the promotion. To just have it on one fixture per weekend, for lack of a better word, sucks. As such, there needed to be good coverage by the sites at the top of the list.

Additionally, we needed there to be a good betting margin in place. Adding value to dirt does not make the dirt valuable; instead, it only makes it slightly worse than what it was before.

So, in a less extreme way, we wanted to make sure that the options recommended offered you value, regardless of the promotion.

  • Usability & Design

Aside from the eligible markets and betting margins, we also took a closer look at the design and usability of each site. If it is easy to use the promotion, then that is a very good thing, as having to find it every time can easily become frustrating.

Some of the bookies on the list separate the standard win-draw-win markets from the early payout ones, and that is not ideal in our opinion. Nevertheless, they are still present on the list since they at least offer the promotion.

  • Other Factors

Of course, there are other factors to consider too, such as the bookie's general reputation, welcome offer, betting app, withdrawal time and so on. For us, betting should be a fun as well as efficient experience. So, we would not recommend any bookie that we feel does not match the criteria.
