Below, you can find Ben's tips for Notts County vs. Salford City. The odds were correct at the time of writing.
On Bank Holiday Monday, Notts County and Salford City will head to Wembley to face off in the League Two Play-Off Final.
This looks like it could be a fantastic game between two sides who have impressed highly in League Two this season. Form would write Notts County out of it, but do we?
Let's dive into our tips for this game.
At the time of writing this, the lineups were not available to us, so I have tried to make some assumptions about the lineup, whilst only tipping players I think will start. It is worth stating here that I would not advise placing any bets until the lineups are out for both teams.
I've stuck around the Evens mark for this set of tips, hoping to have a bit more success.
Now, without further ado, let's dive into my reasoning.
This is the first time that I’m going to reference the corner markets in this set of tips, and I think we could be treated to several here.
Indeed, both teams have really nice corner numbers, averaging more than nine per game between them. When looking at their total corners per game stats, too, things only get better for this selection.
It is pretty close to Evens, which I am a fan of, and I think this provides a nice bit of value.
We are going to be taking advantage of Bet365’s offerings here, with the super sub promotion likely to be key.
In his last three games, Jones has made three fouls, but with the sub boost, he has made seven. So, one could argue that having 2+ fouls would also be valuable.
However, 4/6 is a perfectly fine offering for us here, which I am happy to take!
This looks like another really nice price for us to take advantage of here and I will be happy to take the 7/5 from Coral.
In the regular season, Salford had the fourth-highest corner average per game at 5.6, compared to Notts County’s 4.8, which is a significant amount in a 46-game season.
With Salford having considerably more corners in their second meeting this season too, I think this is a lovely price.
Graydon has been a little bit quiet in recent games and I think this could have a big boost for our odds.
As you can see, almost 2/1 for a shot on target looks like brilliant value and I am happy to chance it.
With two shots on target against County in their last meeting - including a goal - I think he could well be involved, even if he is being moved back to the right of a midfield four.
In their last five games, Salford have won each against Notts County, with a 4-2 score on aggregate this season.
Of course, things can change in the play-offs, but at almost 2/1, this looks far too good a price.
Considering how both teams ended the season, too, I think the away side will just have too much there for County.
Predicted Notts County XI vs. Salford City (3-4-3): Belshaw; Ness, McDonald, Bedeau; Tsaroulla, Norburn, Robertson, Jones; Iorpenda, Jatta, Luker.
Predicted Salford City XI vs. Notts County (4-4-2): Young: Mnoga, Oluwo, Cooper, Garbutt; Graydon, Butcher, Austerfield, N'Mai; Cesay, Udoh.
If you wish to back Ben's tips in a bet builder, Bet365 are paying around 20/1, at the time of writing. It looks like great value at that price, especially with the Super Sub feature!
