With Gold Cup Day a week away, BettingLounge's racing expert Ben goes through some of his favourite bets for the day, and puts them in one place for you. So, let's just dive into NAP, his NB and a Longshot!
You can also check out all of his interests for the day, written before final declarations, so prices may have changed.
Below, you can find Ben's best bets for Day 4 of the Cheltenham Festival. The odds were correct at the time of writing.
Friday is a day of bigger prices, and that is why all of the bets being put forward here are of a similar mark. So, my best bet of the day comes in the second race, where I think Murcia looks to have a fantastic chance.
She had a strong run at the DRF, and whilst she has not won this season, I think she has gotten a lovely handicap mark as a result.
In this race, she will run off of her lowest weight of the season, and it seems increasingly likely that this is Paul Townend's ride. 6/1 could look a great price come 2:10.
Roc Dino was another of my fancies in the County Hurdle, but he is instead heading to the Martin Pipe, and this means he will be jocked by Paul Townend.
At 11-0, he looks favourable from a trends perspective, and his campaign has been really strong. He has been beaten by two Supreme worthy horses, and whilst he was never really challenging either, he finished well ahead of his other competitors.
Indeed, this horse could be a class above, and he may finally be given a winner's chance here!
There are several long-shot opportunities on the final day, but I think I'm going to have a play on Galopin Des Champs.
Admittedly, I am quite confident about The Jukebox Man's chances. However, Galopin may have one more big run in him, and at the price, it feels ridiculous that he can be considered an Each Way chance.
His runs this season have been underwhelming, but he has never really been asked for an effort, and at 10 years old, he is probably looking at his final big go at this race.
He should come on for the run, and 13/2 looks to be a good enough price for an E/W bet.
He has not finished outside of the top three since 2022, and I think he can go well here again. As an E/W chance, I didn't think I'd be writing this last year, but I think Galopin Des Champs could be a great bet of value.
Good luck with your picks, and let us know if you back any of our selections on X @BetLoungeTips!
