Below, you can find Ben's tips for Chelsea vs. Manchester City - FA Cup Final Tips. The odds were correct at the time of writing.
The FA Cup final is here and we are back with another five tips in this heavyweight clash. Indeed, Chelsea vs. Manchester City should be a solid game with a few betting opportunities.
For the bookmakers, it appears that it will be a one-sided game and it could well be. However, Chelsea cannot be written off here; they have something to prove and this could be a chance to secure European football.
Let's dive into our tips for this game.
At the time of writing this, the lineups were not available to us, so I have tried to make some assumptions about the lineup, whilst only tipping players I think will start. It is worth stating here that I would not advise placing any bets until the lineups are out for both teams.
I've gone for some bigger prices and one smaller price to balance things out a little bit. There's a good amount of value on offer and I think this can be taken advantage of.
Now, without further ado, let's dive into my reasoning.
This is a market which I think is a little underpriced. In recent games, Chelsea have bombed forwards and their offside numbers are fascinating, it must be said. They've had 25 in their last 10 games and five in their last three.
Against Manchester City, though, they've had eight in their last three meetings and average 2.76 per game.
Considering the stakes, they could well be desperate at Wembley and seeing them register a few offsides would not be a surprise.
When researching this game, I was initially torn between Moises Caicedo and Bernardo Silva for a card. However, I think the foul odds are just too good to overlook with the Ecuadorian.
In his six games against Manchester City, he has made 17 fouls (including substitutes), getting booked in the first five. With 10 in his last three games, it just feels like this market is too good to overlook.
This should be a pretty high-octane game and it would not be a surprise if there were a lot of corners. In fact, this fixture normally gives us a lot of success in the corner markets.
This season, City have averaged 7.65 corners a game and we are going to be focusing on them. Indeed, their stats hold up decently when facing Chelsea, too, recording an average of 6.85 per game.
With 43 corners against the Blues in their last five games, this looks a pretty nice price.
This is certainly a bit of a long shot, if you'll pardon the pun. However, it has a pretty good chance. Enzo Fernandez recorded a shot on target outside the box in two of his last five games and it could well continue.
Playing in a more advanced role, Enzo will be given the freedom to attack and with Chelsea having 27 shots outside the box in their last five games, the stats point favourably to him seeing goal.
Considering he has taken six of the 27, even if only two have gone on target, a chance may open up.
For what it is worth, he is priced at 5/2 with Bet365, including their new ET feature.
Finally, I'm going for a Bernardo Silva card. The Portuguese midfielder has been deployed deeper for most of the season and with his game being more box-to-box like, he could get dragged into a few battles.
Playing a team who are known to be pretty dogged, Silva could well get involved in a bit of a scrap with Chelsea's midfield trio and a card looks great value.
He has been booked in two of his last three games against Chelsea and with a card in last year's FA Cup final, I think he could well get another here.
Predicted Chelsea XI vs. Manchester City (4-2-3-1): Sanchez; James, Chalobah, Colwill, Cucurella; Lavia, Caicedo; Palmer, Fernandez, Neto; Joao Pedro
Predicted Manchester City XI vs. Chelsea (4-2-3-1): Trafford; Nunes, Khusanov, Guehi, O’Reilly; Bernardo, Nico; Doku, Cherki, Semenyo; Haaland
