We really like the site design that The Residence Casino & Sportsbook offers, but there are too many issues for us to be really enthralled with the platform.
Don't get us wrong, there are some positives to celebrate. The look and feel is solid, whilst you've got a good range of deposit options and an accessible minimum deposit of £5 as well.
We just found ourselves running into too many situations of "but". Deposits from £5 is good but the minimum withdrawal amount is double that. The site FAQ is excellent but the live chat is slow and AI-heavy. The sportsbook offers a lot of sports but there is no horse racing and margins are high at 9.44%.
We could extend that run across various metrics, with the duplicated structure around the casino a particular issue of ours.
With all of that said, The Residence Casino & Sportsbook is a relatively new site. If it can iron out some of the mentioned issues, which are mostly an accumulation of minor points rather than being huge unfixable problems, the site could be really quite good.

Grace Media have a huge array of domains under their licence, albeit many of these are inactive as of July 2026. They're still an experienced player, though.
With licences across bingo, casino and betting - both real and virtual - there are fingers in many pies. In theory, that should enable it to stand up a really solid platform across all fronts.

The Residence Casino & Sportsbook doesn't have any dedicated Trustpilot reviews as yet, which isn't exactly unexpected with the brand in its infancy.
Grace Media, however, does. It has received 280 reviews, with 76% of those awarding it five stars. By contrast, 15% have rated it as a one. The overall average washes through at a highly respectable 3.7 out of 5.00.
💰 Has The Residence Been Fined by the UKGC?
Unsurprisingly, The Residence has not had any UKGC regulatory action taken against it. That's not the case for Grace Media, though.
In June 2025, the brand received a financial penalty to the tune of £60,000. This was due to failures around self-exclusion and marketing consent rules.

There are two things to make particular note of where the withdrawal process is concerned at The Residence.
The first is that your available withdrawal methods will vary, based on what method you have used to deposit from. Secondly, the minimum withdrawal amount at The Residence is £10; that's twice the minimum deposit amount.
As for the withdrawal processing time, our test saw funds returned in just over 32 hours. That is not atrocious, but is some way behind the fastest withdrawal sites we've tested.

The Residence Sportsbook Review
The Residence sportsbook is the first thing you see when logging into your account. Sitting on a largely beige canvas, there are two core navigation panels running across the top of the page.
The first is a narrow strip that allows access to a search function, live betting, your betting history and more. Beneath that, you get into a larger horizontal scrollbar that features green line-drawn icons that represent the different sports offered at The Residence; all told there are 34 sports available to bet on.
With horse racing a notable absentee, football is by far the biggest sport available to punters. However, e-sports and the inclusion of cross country skiing are good examples of the variety that is offered.
The specific coverage varies by sport but, with competitions from over 60 countries available under the football umbrella, you're not hard-pressed for constant betting opportunities.
You can navigate this depth easily too, with clear menu options flowing across the specific sports categories and the ability to expand, collapse and favourite leagues is good too.
As for what you get as you drill into an actual event, the design choices remain consistent with scrollbars driving sub-category navigation, whilst odds are laid out cleanly.
That is particularly handy when you consider Premier League games offer over 200 markets on them - despite being a month out from the new season kicking off.
Unfortunately, all of that good work is undone when you start looking into the betting margins that are offered to punters. Our tests put those margins at 9.44%, which is lofty compared to industry averages.
It's a shame, because there is a lot to like about The Residence sportsbook.
The Residence Casino Review
How you perceive The Residence casino offering will largely depend on how you access it. The navigation is not very well thought through.
When accessing the "Casino" section from the main burger menu, the game tiles are laid out in an okay manner.
There are different sections, separated by clear headings. You can then scroll through the game titles as you wish, swiping up, down, left and right.
The tiles, whilst sized differently between some sections, are all easy to interact with and are in keeping with industry standards from a look and feel perspective. You can favourite games too, which is a nice touch.
What is apparent, however, is the absence of any game filtering and no search function. That's not a great user experience.
Now comes the confusing aspect. Navigate back to your burger menu and choose "Games" - not Casino - and you get the same game titles displayed in a different way. Here the game tiles are consistent in size, running three wide across the page.
Critically, there is the ability to sort the titles and apply filters over this view. The filter is okay too, with game developer and gaming themes both options, alongside a text search.
Why the casino is replicated in two different manners, who knows? Not us, but it's not intuitive at all.
That's a shame too because when you bring it all together, it's pretty solid. There are some huge titles featured amongst the games too, with Pragmatic Play the biggest software provider.
As for the overall game count, there are around 1,000 games to explore, which span across 18 different themes.
The Residence Mobile App
Despite the hunger modern-day bettors have for an on-the-go format for their betting, The Residence have opted to launch without a mobile app.
Whether or not this changes in the future remains to be seen, however, our current understanding is that there is no app in the works.
Whilst this is a slight disappointment, the browser version of the site is mobile-friendly, so it's not all bad.
The Residence Responsible Gambling
Whilst The Residence Casino & Sportsbook doesn't have any negative experience in this space, Grace Media have been pulled up for failings in the Safer Gambling area previously. So, what does The Residence offer customers?
For starters, there is a dedicated "Safer Gambling" section within the FAQ. This covers off 11 different questions, each offering a decent answer, whilst also including third-party references for additional support.
There are then dedicated "Safer Gambling" and "Underage Gambling" sections under the "Help & Advice" area. This leads you into a different zone on the site, detailing the available support tools. The offered tools are:

Alongside these tools, there are various other areas that are tailored towards support, such as "Support and Advice" and "Staying in Control".
The Residence Customer Support
The first thing we should do is praise The Residence for the structure it has for customer service.
Accessing your main account area, there are various avenues you can take. Under the "Support" heading, you can navigate to a really well laid out FAQ section.
Split into eight distinguishable areas, it's easy to navigate to what you want to try and look for. Within each section, you then get a bullet point list of questions, with each question linked to a detailed answer page. You cannot knock it.
There is also the ability to trigger a live chat. In theory, this is good. Our experience was less so. The first part of your chat experience is bot-driven, involving having to answer seven questions. Six of those relate to your personal information, which is bonkers given you're logged into a password-protected account.
The bot then attempts to help you, but failed to provide a link to its own answer during our tests, quoting "I can't retrieve the source articles right now". This was immediately followed up by mixed messaging about our expected wait time.
After waiting for 10 minutes, the wait time disappeared from our live chat screen, forcing us back to the start of the process.
Eventually, after 25 minutes, we did make contact with a human operator on the chat. At this point, the exchange was prompt and detailed. It's just a shame about the process to reach that point.
Another positive, however, is the fact that the chat is available 24/7, whilst email contact is also offered.
