Geoff Banks Online is a really good example of a bookmaker that puts the punter at the heart of everything. Specialising in horse racing, which was to be expected given its roots, the site offers everything and a little more on that front: many markets, form tables, insight, and live streaming.

This comprehensive offering combined with betting margins of 4.3% is fantastic, especially when you consider that this is an independent betting site. It hasn't gone with one of the usual platforms or sportsbook either, opting for a customised solution instead.

Having said that, some light should be shed on the payments situation, seeing as there is a £10 minimum and a lack of methods (you have to withdraw with bank transfer). In this case, however, that feels a bit like not picking for a site that does so much so well.

Indeed, this is certainly one of the finest examples we have seen of an on-course bookmaker moving into the online field.

About Geoff Banks

Geoff Banks is one of the more well-known bookmakers in the horse racing scene. Having been in operation since 2006 - mainly on-course - it will offer a sense of familiarity for many, which may be preferred compared to the big corporate bookmakers.

So, with a view to gaining further exposure, an online presence was created and here we are; there is certainly plenty to like. Considering the brand's presence on social media as well, we can certainly say that this is a growing betting site.

It may have been obvious already, but the fact that Geoff Banks is a completely independent betting site is another huge draw. The site even has its own customised sportsbook, which we always like to see.

In this review, we look at the sports product, as well as the overall experience. By the end, we hope to provide you with a complete idea of what the bookmaker is like and whether it is worth signing up for an account.

Is Geoff Banks Online Legit and Safe?

🔒 Geoff Banks Online UKGC License: 54095

Geoff Banks Online is registered with the UK's Gambling Commission under the license number 54095, meaning it's a safe and legit bookmaker. It should be noted that there is no licence for casino, but we will get into that later.

📊 Geoff Banks Online Trustpilot Rating: 3/5

There have been 133 reviews of Geoff Banks Online on Trustpilot, which is immediately a pretty good sign. With it not offering a casino, we also get a more true perspective on its quality.

Reviews are fairly mixed, with plenty of five-star ratings, as well as quite a few one-star ratings. So, the three stars are expected and understandable.

💰 Has Geoff Banks Online Ever Been Fined?

Geoff Banks has never been fined by the UKGC, which should be the norm. Unfortunately, we often see that this is not the case, so the brand deserves praise here.

Geoff Banks Deposit Methods

The deposit cashier at Geoff Banks could certainly do with a little bit of work, it must be said. The range of payment methods is limited to just three, namely debit cards (Visa and Mastercard), PayPal and bank transfers.

Of course, the inclusion of an e-wallet is nice here, especially since more and more bookies are moving away from PayPal. However, it doesn't do enough lifting to make us really appreciate the options. It may have something to do with a £10 deposit minimum being in place too.

Let's see if Geoff Banks improves this in the coming months, but below, we have collected everything you need to know about deposits on the site as it stands right now.

    Head to the Cashier Area

Depositing is pretty simple with Geoff Banks Online. To begin, tap the 'Profile' icon in the top right corner and then tap 'Deposit'. Alternatively, you can tap the card icon at the top of the screen.

Finally, scroll to the bottom of the page and tap 'Deposit' and you will be good to go. Good luck with any bets you place!

Geoff Banks Withdrawal Methods

Unfortunately, while we described the deposit situation as limited, it doesn't come close to withdrawals at Geoff Banks. In fact, you are only given one choice for the payout and that is bank transfer. This means that you have to enter bank details when withdrawing, which isn't ideal.

This - at least in our experience - is really rare so we have to knock a bit of the payment score off here. Nevertheless, we didn't have to wait too long for the money to arrive (under 90 minutes) in our most recent test of the bookie, so we can't complain too much.

The minimum remains at £10, it should be noted, so at least you don't need more than the minimum deposit to withdraw. Below, we have collected everything you need to know about withdrawals at Geoff Banks Online.

Following this, you will need to enter the amount you would like to withdraw - in pounds and pence, strangely - and you need to provide your bank details.

Withdraw and Wait For Your Money

Then, just wait for the money to arrive and hopefully, that won't be too long. We got the money after an hour and 25 minutes in our test, which wasn't bad at all.

Geoff Banks Online Sportsbook Review

With Geoff Banks rising to prominence in the horse racing industry, you may expect the online bookmaking to follow suit (i.e. focus solely on racing). However, this is not the case.

Indeed, the bookmaker covers a wide variety of sports with more than 20 popular options available, as well as some specials, which is a pretty solid going in fairness.

Now, this is not as many as some of the biggest sportsbooks. However, we prefer to see 20 complete options rather than 25-30 options, where you are perhaps left a little underwhelmed with the market depth.

Across the board, the standards are high and this makes it a worthwhile bookmaker to try. This is especially the case, thanks to the betting margins of 4.36% - when we tested a weekend of Premier League fixtures - which competes against the best margins on the market.

In terms of the sports themselves, we will start with racing, given this is where most will know the bookmaker from.

Racing is available from courses in the UK, Ireland and international tracks, which is a strong start and the pricing isn't too bad either, with a 112.5% overround (pretty standard).

Geoff Banks Home

Insight from Timeform is very appreciated, as is the ability to see previous form and analyst comments for every horse, whether they are racing in the UK or abroad. That said, it should be noted that more in-depth analysis is provided for UK runners.

Additionally, the inclusion of RacingTV for account holders is extremely nice, considering that it is worth a pretty penny outside of the app.

The only really negative we can find with racing is the lack of additional markets; you can only bet on win or E/W at this moment in time.

When it comes to football, the lack of additional markets shows again and whilst there is a wide variety of leagues offered, the actual selections available on them are not the broadest.

As a result, it is no shock that bet builders are not offered, so you will have to pick a strong bet builder bookie instead if that is your bread and butter.

However, there are still a few positives, such as the fact that 2UP is offered from the get-go and the markets remain well priced with the aforementioned 4% betting margins.

Geoff Banks Online Casino Review

Unfortunately, Geoff Banks doesn't offer a casino and from a legal point of view, it's not something the bookie could launch tomorrow either. That is because a licence is needed for a casino.

Considering it has held licenses for the sportsbooks since 2019, 2020 and 2022, respectively, we don't see a casino entering the mix in the near future.

This is a bit of a problem for some - but not everyone, of course - but luckily, there are plenty of all-in-one bookies out there if you need one.

Geoff Banks App

With the lack of a casino, you may have thought that Geoff Banks doesn't offer an app either. However, this is not the case, with both iOS and Android apps available to download in 2026.

Reviews are largely positive and span back over seven years, with a four-star rating on the iOS App Store and a 4.2-star rating on the Google Play Store.

For what it's worth, updates are also very frequent, with 25 updates in the last 12 months, at the time of writing. That is an attention to detail that even some of the best betting apps do not give.

For a bookmaker - with respect saying this - that is not as big as some of the most prominent names in the industry, we are really impressed here.

Geoff Banks Online Customer Support

The customer support sections are decent, but we would be lying if we said that there weren't issues.

Whilst there is an 'About Us' and 'Help' section, there is no FAQ area on the site, which is a bit of a blow. This doesn't have to be a major section either, so the lack of one is a little disappointing.

Additionally, there is no live chat service open to customers on the website. Again, this is something which could be added to provide a boost.

Geoff Banks Help

However, a phone number and an email are offered - with a personal note from Geoff Banks stating "we'll be happy to help" - which is quite good.

Unfortunately, this can be picked apart a little, though, with poor opening hours. Indeed, the contact lines are only open between 8:30 and 21:30. This is easily beaten by the big names in the industry.
