Like many bookmakers, Betzone is okay. The site doesn't do a bad job, but equally, there is room for improvement as well, quite a lot of room.
From a sportsbook perspective, coverage of sports is on the limited side of things whilst there is no Esports on offer to punters; that’s a sizeable miss in 2025. The payment options are ticking the boxes of bare minimum and nothing more as well whilst the betting margins are, at best, okay at 7.68%.
As for the casino offering, the games on offer aren’t to be sniffed at with some big brand names featuring whilst a live casino is another positive for Betzone to cling to. There are question marks over the overall usability and far from seamless navigation on the casino though.
As for the bits below the surface, payment methods are limited but customer service has improved recently.

About Betzone
Betzone was launched in 2021, becoming one of several new UK online sportsbooks to capitalise on the recent boom in online gambling interest. During the first four years of operation, the site was operated by Playbook Gaming. In early 2025, Betzone made the bold call to move away from Playbook Gaming and instead relaunched with Metric Gaming as their sports and casino partner.

Is Betzone Legit and Safe?

Just like deposits, customers will not have a lot of options when it comes to withdrawals at Betzone, with only debit cards and bank transfer on the list. The bookie states that a withdrawal could take 2-5 business due to normal banking procedures and while the latter is true, punters in the UK are now used to sites with fast withdrawals.

How to Verify an Account at Betzone
There is a verification process in place at Betzone, as is the case with all sites licensed by the Gambling Commission, and this is simply to confirm the identity of the customer. Betzone Sportsbook
The Betzone sportsbook leaves quite a lot to be desired from a professional eye. As for the standard bettor view, a lot of that depends on your requirements and preferred sports.
The offering of 24 different sports is considerably fewer than the big operators but, in fairness, it ticks the boxes of the major sports, such as football and horse racing, and also contains lesser-known markets including Futsal, Bandy and Volleyball.
Horse racing is the most heavily signposted sport Betzone offers and the coverage is good. Not only does it tick the UK & Ireland markets but there are also worldwide meets covered with countries including UAE, USA and Chile.
The loss of live streaming in the horse racing space is hard to overlook though, particularly because it was available under the previous regime, Playbook Gaming. On the flip side, it does now pay "best odds guaranteed", which it did not previously.
Where football is concerned, the overall offering has probably weakened slightly. Using a Premier League match as a reference, the number of markets on offer under Metric Gaming have reduced compared to what was previously available with fewer than 100 markets now available to bet on.
That is a significant chunk softer than the best football betting sites but will still cover the bulk of basic markets that a lot of casual bettors typically use. On the plus side, punters can still utilise a bet-builder function and bet on in-play markets.
The other key aspect of a sportsbook is the betting margins. Betzone doesn’t set off the warning claxon with a margin of 7.68% in our test but it is a number that is far from a market-leading proposition.
With a smart, intuitive navigation earning the Betzone some positive points we’ll stop short of hammering it but there are considerably better sportsbooks out there.

Betzone Casino
The Betzone casino falls into three separate categories – a traditional online casino, virtual games and a live casino offering and, in truth, the offering is pretty good too.
We won’t spend too long on the virtual games side of things but a handful of sports from Pragmatic Play give punters the ability to play to their hearts content and the live demo functionality available on the games is good too with users able to see what they are getting into before committing the money.
On the casino, you’ve got slots galore along with plenty of big-name games to play including the likes of “Big Bass Splash” and “Cops n Robbers Megaways”. There is also a healthy selection of table games to explore with low stake versions of some games also available.
That just leaves the live casino. Here you can turn your hand to roulette, blackjack, gameshow style games and more. It is a decent offering and probably ranks in the middle of the pack as far as live casinos go.
Betzone Mobile App
On the whole, we'd suggest that Betzone has improved its offering since moving away from the white-label Playbook Gaming but it's not all plain sailing. One area where it has lost out is the mobile app.
Previously, Betzone piggybacked off the Playbook Gaming app. Now, they have none. It's not that uncommon among smaller operators but is a negative for a lot of modern-day punters. That said, the mobile-friendly website does still give bettors access to Betzone on the go.
We did reach out to Betzone about their plans for developing a new mobile app and, whilst the support team made positive noises about the future there was little in the way of hard and fast plans.
Betzone Responsible Gambling
In recent years, the Gambling Commission has been clamping down on social responsibility failures and as a result, sites have placed a great emphasis on responsible gambling. The self-help guides, such as the site FAQs, are poor with limited scenarios and little in the way of depth in the answers to the questions they have pre-empted from their customers.
"Betzone Bob" though is a step in the right direction; that’s the name it gives to its chatbot, which is accessed via the chat icon in the “Help Centre”. We’re not huge fans of Betzone Bob, or chat bots in general, but it does pass you through to a human on request; that then enables a live chat support function that is open between 09:00 and 22:30 seven days a week.
We wish they’d just default to the live chat function or, at the very least, make “Bob” available in a more accessible place.

Apparently verified my account on sign up without the need for any documents to be sent or requested and allowed me to deposit and withdraw whilst I had a current gamstop ban in place unsure how their verification process works or what it actually checks but disappointing they allowed this to happen only positive is they have fast payouts same day if between 9-5 otherwise next day and game selection isnt too bad
