What are Premier League Outright Betting Markets?

Bookmakers in the UK offer a wide variety of English Premier League outright betting markets, including the outright winner, the top-four odds, relegation, and the top goalscorer.

The English Premier League outright winner market is available before each season and updates during the campaign until a team wins the title. Our football betting odds are updated daily throughout the season, and the match result odds are updated in real time.

There are several Premier League winner betting markets to choose from aside from the outright winner bet. These include:

  • Premier League Winner Without Big 6: If you are interested in betting on the winner of the league without the "Big 6", this could be the market for you. This means Man City, Man United, Chelsea, Spurs, Liverpool and Arsenal are not in this betting market, and you are placing a bet on who will finish highest without these teams.
  • Straight Forecast: This is a bet of two selections predicting which teams will come first and second in the correct order. Man City 1st and Arsenal 2nd is the most popular bet on the bookies, with an ante-post price of 5/2.
  • Reverse Forecast: This bet is two selections predicting which teams will come 1st and 2nd in any order.
  • Top on Christmas Day: A bet on which team will be top on Christmas day. This market is currently only available on Coral and Ladbrokes, but it is a fun bet with some good odds, with even Man City at 11/8.
  • Winner/Top Goalscorer: If you think Man City and Erling Haaland will dominate the league once again, this outright winner bet could be for you. Priced at 7/4 with most bookies, it has landed in the past two seasons in a row, and honestly, it's hard to look past it happening again.

EPL Winner 2024/25 - Ante-Post Season Predictions

Ben Dixon

Betting on the Premier League title is difficult because you have to weigh up a few things. Unfortunately, I think this season will follow a similar trend as the past few years, where two teams have dominated the title race, and I think this will continue again this year.

Of course, those teams are Manchester City - who are currently best priced at 6/4 - and Arsenal - who are currently best priced at 15/8, and I don't think there will be any credible challengers to the duo this season. Perhaps, there could be some contenders throughout the season, but I don't think there will be a credible third challenger.

Manchester City to win the Premier League & Erling Haaland Premier League Top Scorer - 7/4 at Bet365

Let's start with the Champions, Manchester City. The Citizens are up there with the best teams in Premier League history, they have one of the best coaches, and you can give this analogy for several of City's players. Rodri, Kevin De Bruyne, John Stones, Erling Haaland, the list goes on.

After winning the last four league titles, you cannot look past Guardiola's team, and no one is, and quite frankly, why would you? They have not lost any of their integral players, and knowing the Spaniard, he has probably formulated a brand new game plan to shock the league.

Arsenal to win the Premier League - 15/8 at Bet365

Then we have the other Spanish mastermind, Mikel Arteta and his Arsenal team. For the past two, if not three, seasons, they have been the only notable challengers to City, and I don't think there will be any changes to that trend this season.

Last year, the Gooners took the division to the wire and Arteta will be aiming to take his team one step further now. There has only been one addition made during the window - Riccardo Calafiori from Bologna - however, in a way that his mentor will have taught, Arteta probably has a few tricks up his sleeve.
