Serie A 2026-27: Betting Predictions, Top Scorer, 1-20 and Odds

The Serie A season restarts next weekend, meaning it is the right time to return to Italy with our picks for the upcoming season.

Last year, we had an alright run, getting 4/10 predictions right. Overall, we had a solid season, too, with 38% of our outright predictions coming in. All in all, a pretty similar average.

In Serie A, it can be tough to get loads of value, so it's probably better to look to the English Leagues if that is what you're looking for. However, we're still here to make our picks.

It is also important to note that all predictions are made with the current state of teams and potential arrivals/departures.

Who Will Win the Serie A Title?

There's a saying, especially in Italian football, that the Scudetto can be decided in a transfer window and that certainly can be the case. However, just as much as it can swing it in your favour, it can move it away.

So, we can remove a few teams from the equation here, to the point where I am left with two teams, but really one.

Indeed, my pick for the title this year is Inter and I'm backing them to be the first team since Juventus to retain a Scudetto - which would break a seven year streak.

When I look at the league, there are glimpses of quality across the board. However, Inter's squad has just been gradually improved over recent years and you know what you're getting.

When you look at Juventus, Roma, Milan, Napoli, the turnover isn't enough (or is too much) and I feel there are very little guarantees with them or their coaches.

So, when I look at an Inter squad that want to retain a title with the squad remaining largely unchanged, I do so with positivity.

John Stones and Ivan Provedel are excellent pickups, whilst the return of Aleksandar Stankovic looks like a great move at the base of midfield.

Serie A, like I say, can be changed in a summer, but I don't look at that Inter squad and see any real threat to them, really. 6/5 looks a nice enough price for me with PricedUp.

Who Will Finish Top 4 in Serie A?

This is where things get really tough, frustratingly so, actually.

Last season's top four race was excellent with it going to the final few matchdays of the season and we saw what happened, with Como getting a spot in the Champions League.

I expect this season to be no different, really. There is such little stability at the top and anyone could be anywhere this season. It's a really tough one on the balance of things.

Starting with second, though, I've got Juventus. The Bianconeri have had a really solid summer, re-signing Randal Kolo Muani and adding exciting winger Kerim Alajbegovic.

They've also been smart, too, with the additions of Zeki Celik and Jeremie Boga - who was with the club on loan last season. Lucianno Spalletti is a great coach and he is in the second year of his project now.

After missing out last season, they need to return to the Champions League and I think they will.

Roma's price surprised me a little bit, all things considered. Last season, they made a fantastic last push for a Champions League place and earned it - which will be something to contend with in its own right.

However, I don't really see them reaching the latter stages of that competition, so the strain on their squad won't be major.

They've overhauled their strike unit, replacing Artem Dovbyk and Evan Ferguson with Santiago Castro and the expected signing of Rodrigo Mora. It doesn't stop there, too.

The re-signing of Donyell Malen is fantastic business, considering how much of an impact he had on them last season.

At 4/5, I really, really like this pick.

For my final spot in the Top Four, I've gone for AC Milan. Now, the appointment of Ruben Amorim can certainly be questioned. However, I want to look beyond that.

The signings of Mario Gila and Goncalo Ramos drastically raise the level of their respective departments and further additions are likely this summer - with another central defender also expected.

They are certainly questionable after last season's drop off. However, this feels like it could be a big year for the Rossoneri.

Saying that, at 8/14, I'd not be touching the price. It's just not enough value for me. I'd sooner take the other prices.

For what it's worth, I'd also be tempted to have a small bet on Como at 4/1. Without a doubt, the Lariani are the best project in the league currently and whilst I fear about them and their ability to cope with a European campaign and push for the league, they're not a 4/1 side.

BetVictor offering that price, then, feels like a gift. I think they'll finish just outside the first four, but I'd not be surprised if they got themselves in there and the price is nice enough for the risk.

Who Will Be Relegated From Serie A?

Relegation in Serie A can be really easy or really tough, for example, I landed two of the three selections last season and I'm aiming for the full house this season.

Starting bottom, I've got Monza. Promoted via the play-offs, they were the weakest of the new sides and their business doesn't really stand out to me. Patrick Cutrone is a nice addition and barring that, it's a lot of risks.

The average age of their signings is 22.5 and I'd rather they went down the experienced route. With only €7m in net spending, there are others who have spent better...

Following them, I've got Lecce to go down. The Giallorossi only just stayed up last season and it's been a similar story in recent years - they look at risk of the drop, but somehow stay up - that was again the case last season.

Do I think it'll happen again? Probably not. There hasn't been much of an overhaul to the squad and the only signing of the summer was Willem Geubbels, which doesn't exactly inspire.

Finally, I think Frosinone are in danger of the drop. They finished second in Serie B, five points ahead of Monza, and I think they'll still finish above them this season.

However, they won't set the league alight in my view. Nine signings this summer shows a clear attempt to stay up, as does the retention of several key players.

However, you're asking a lot of a team that didn't exactly wow in Serie B. It feels like another easy pick.
