After tipping Crystal Palace to be last year's winners at 5/1, we're back to look at this year's rendition of the UEFA Europa Conference League, hoping to land another nicely priced winner for this season.

The markets, unfortunately, are not as broad as they are for some of the other European competitions. So, the only real chance we have at a winning bet is the Winner markets, but that didn't stop us last year.

In fact, we nailed all three European competition winners last season, so we're confident again here.

UEFA Conference League 2026/27 Winners - Odds and Tips

The betting markets for the Conference League, admittedly, are a little underwhelming considering you can only bet on winners at this point. However, there are some decent opportunities for some value.

Starting off, my primary bet for the Conference League winners is Brighton and Hove Albion. Yes, it's the obvious pick; yes, they're the favourites - we can keep going, too. However, there is a reason for their favouritism and I'm not going to overlook that.

There is a strong argument to say that Brighton have the best squad in the Conference League; in fact, you could argue that they have a squad better than a majority of clubs in the Europa League. So, that's a huge tick in the box there.

They've started strongly in the Premier League this season, winning four of their opening six games - including a big victory against last year's Champions League finalists Arsenal - and again, that just points you in the direction of backing them.

Fabian Hurzeler is one of the best young managers in Europe and the Seagulls are still a club on a significant upward trajectory.

Then, when you add in the fact that English clubs have won three of the five Conference Leagues so far, it just becomes impossible to overlook everything that points in their favour. At 11/4 with the best football bookmakers, it still feels like a nice enough price to back...

For my second pick, I've gone for FC Midtjylland. Now, this would be an E/W selection, but I think the Danish team could certainly progress quite far this season. No strangers to European competition, they've featured in a Champions League and four Europa League campaigns since 2020 and this could be where they truly shine.

Last year, they finished third in the Europa League's League Phase, in what was one of the strongest renditions of the competition in recent memory, but they did lose several important players as a result.

Yet, they've invested smartly and they are the only team to remain unbeaten so far in the Danish Superliga - even beating Copenhagen at the weekend - which bodes well.

A strong squad, with a youthful core, Midtjylland remain one of the more interesting teams in the competition and their fixtures present a nice pathway into the latter stages of the competition. At 20/1 to win the competition, they may be a bit more of a riskier pick, but I don't think they're a bad long shot.

For my final pick, I've gone for Twente, who are priced at 40/1 to lift the trophy. Now, if I were to say I'd backed a Dutch team this year, you'd probably have expected me to say Ajax. However, they're not the team they once were and the 10/1 price isn't attractive to me.

The 40/1 for Twente, though, catches my eye for an E/W pick.

So far in the Eredivisie this season, they sit in fourth, losing only once - to Herenveen - and winning five of their eight games. It's a really solid start for a club just outside of the Netherlands' big three and they actually sit ahead of Ajax in the current rankings.

With an average age of 27, there is a really solid group available to John van den Brom and there are several names of interest: Wout Weghorst, Marko Pjaca, Daouda Weidmann and captain Robin Pröpper, to name a few. The gem, though, is their 18-year-old central defender Ruud Nijstad, who seems likely to go on to big things.

As for their head coach, van den Brom isn't exactly a notable name. He won a Champions League in the mid-90s and two Dutch titles playing for Ajax. Yet he hasn't matched those successes as a coach so far, with his best spells in Belgium with Anderlecht and Genk. This could be where he shines, though, especially with the help of Erik ten Hag.

With that said, I'd certainly be tailoring my stakes...

Below are the ante-post 2026/27 Conference League winner odds at the time of this post.

11/4
Europa Conference League Winner Midtjylland to win the Europa Conference League Each-Way Pick
