Cameron Menzies has won just one match since his blow-up at the World Championship, including a 6-0 defeat to Leon Weber on Tuesday at PC04. The Scot needs to improve soon, otherwise this losing streak will continue for a while.
Ritchie Edhouse has struggled to replicate the form he showed when winning the European Championship in 2024, but has shown signs this season that it's coming back. He's had two good runs to the last 16 of Players Championship events this season, and looks to be in much better form than Menzies coming into this one.

William O'Connor continues to go under the radar, playing solid darts, but has lost his last two matches on tour. The Irishman has struggled on the European Tour over his career, though, reaching just one Quarter-final over the last three seasons.
Andreas Harrysson had a fabulous run to the last 16 of the World Championship, losing out in a tight match to Jonny Clayton 4-2. The big Swede will be bitterly disappointed missing out on a tour card in January, though, but has bounced back well to qualify here.
This is a battle of two very solid Dart players, and I can see there being just a single break of throw to determine the winner here.

Luke Woodhouse has risen to 21 in the World Rankings and is fast becoming an elite dart player. Woody has been so solid over the past 18 months and is improving on the European Tour, having reached at least the quarter-final in 3 events last year
Carl Sneyd gained his professional status at Q school in January. He may be an unknown at the moment to most people, but he's made his mark on the Modus Super Series over the past year.
Sneyd has made a good start to life on tour, and from what I've seen of him, he's a very underrated scorer, so over 1.5 180s looks very good value.

Dave Chisnall has had a rotten 18 months or so, and has plummeted from number 6 to 22 in the world rankings. He's started the season better, though, with a run to the quarter-final of PC02.
Daryl Pilgrim is a dangerous player and has the A game to beat anyone in the world, but he's struggled to compete consistently at this level. Pligrim has won just two matches on the European Tour, and that will certainly be on his mind.
Chisnall has been poor, but he has a fantastic record on the Euro Tour, so I think his experience will get him over the line in this one.

This looks like a well-matched contest between two players who have both come through recent dips in form, making it a tricky one to call in terms of an outright winner.
Damon Heta has gone to a deciding leg in three of his last seven matches in Players Championship events, while Connor Scutt has seen five of his last six matches go all the way.
That trend is particularly relevant here, as both Players Championship and European Tour matches are played over the same best-of-11-legs format. With both players regularly being pushed deep into matches, another close, potentially last-leg battle would be no surprise.

Niko Springer had a breakthrough year in 2025, reaching his first European Tour final at ET7 and then claiming his first title at ET12. The young German looks to have all the capabilities of becoming an elite player, and I think it's just a matter of time before his consistency improves.
Cristo Reyes has been the story of the season so far, after gaining his tour card in January after 5 years away from the sport. The Spaniard is a former top 32 player and has started this season in fantastic form, arguably looking better than ever.
This will be another close match, but I think Reyes is riding a wave of form at the moment. Like I've said so many times before, momentum and confidence are key in this sport.
