• Brendan Dolan To Win 3-0: 13/5 at Unibet

Brendan Dolan is back at Ally Pally for his 18th consecutive appearance, and even though he's starting to come to the end of his career, he remains a danger to anybody.

Dolan has missed the Matchplay and the Grand Prix for the first time in 5 years this season, but the History Maker has still had good results on the floor, with two semi-finals and a final in PC events.

Tavis Dudeney has had a really tough first year as a professional, going long spans without a win, but he ended his year with a fantastic performance at the World Championship qualifiers to claim his Ally Pally debut.

Experience is key in the World Championship, and I think Dolan will take full advantage of that and come through this contest comfortably.

• Cameron Menzies Most 180s & Win: 7/4 at Sky Bet

Cameron Menzies returns to the Ally Pally, looking to write the wrongs of last year's round loss to Leonard Gates. The Scot has had another solid season, winning his second professional title at PC11, and had a good run to the quarter-final of the World Grand Prix.

Menzies was also in fantastic form in the recent European Championship in October, where he lost out 10-9 in the second round to Luke Humphries.

Charlie Manby booked his spot at Ally Pally via the Development Tour rankings and is one of the most talked-about debutants this year.

His recent victory at the Modus Super Series during Champions Week was his biggest win to date. He played magnificently throughout and showed elite composure to take down the £25,000 first prize.

There's no doubt Manby is a dangerous opponent here, and it's quite clear that at times Menzies' emotions can get the better of him, but if he keeps his head and scores as he can, he should have too much experience for the youngster.

• Max Hopp Most 180s & Win: 11/8 at QuinnBet

Martin Lukeman has had a dreadful season and comes into this year's World Championship having lost his last six matches in all competitions, and hasn't averaged over 90 in his last four TV appearances. Lukeman has had just two quarter-finals all year and will need to dramatically improve if he's to have a run here.

Max Hopp returns to Ally Pally for the first time since 2021 after regaining his Tour Card at the start of the year.

The German is still struggling for results, but he's back on the big stage, and his latest appearance on TV was a positive one, hitting 4 180s and averaging 88.74 in a 6-2 loss to Gerwyn Price at the Players Championship Finals.

Both of these players are struggling, but because Lukeman has been so bad lately, I think Hopp will have more than enough to see off the Englishman.

• Andy Baetens Over 2.5 180s: 21/20 at Unibet

Dirk van Duijvenbode continues to return to form and comes into this year's World Championship as a genuine outsider. He should have more than enough to get through this match, but he will need to be on his toes as it's not the easiest draw in the field.

The 2023 WDF World Champion, Andy Baetens, will finally make his debut at Ally Pally this year. The Belgian has had a tough time since gaining his tour card in 2024, and hasn't reached the highs that were expected of him.

However, the ability isn't in question, and he should have enough to get a set here, which gives him plenty of time to get three 180s during the match.

• Simon Whitlock Over 3.5 180s: 5/4 at bet365

Connor Scutt has failed to emulate the success of 2024, but he's not played badly at all. He scraped into the World Championship field after failing to get past the 4th round in any Players Championship event, but his seasonal average of over 92 shows he probably didn't get the rub of the green in enough matches.

Simon Whitlock returns to Ally Pally after a 2-year absence after winning the ANZ Premier League. The great Aussie has shown he can still play to a high level, and if he turns up and plays as he can, he will be a massive threat to Scutt tonight.

I can see this being a close match, but that depends on how Whitlock settles. If he settles quickly, he'll have more than enough time to hit at least four maximums.
