MetGaming is one member in what is a sizeable AG Communications (UKGC: 39483) army of bookies.
With a gargantuan pulling the strings behind them, and award wins to their name already, things look good on the surface. Our MetGaming review aims to answer whether or not it is all it is cracked up to be.

There is quite a lot to like about MetGaming with the deposit options rich, processing speeds attached to deposits (instant) and withdrawals (24 minutes in our test) swift to say the least.
The sportsbook is quietly tidy too. You've got in excess of 40 sports to explore, reasonable market depth in key sports like football, global horse racing events and, to cap it off, a respectable betting margin of 6.25%.
Unfortunately, when you delve a tad deeper than that, things fall apart a little bit. For starters, even the strong points mentioned above can be bettered by a host of other operators. More concerningly though, key things don't quite fire right for MetGaming.
The customer service is almost non-existent for the standards we expect, while the approach to responsible gambling looks to be equally as lacking.
Combine that with some questionable site layout choices and a focus that seems to be on traditional casino locations rather than on the online proposition, and we have to suggest this site is average at best.
MetGaming started out as a bricks and mortar casino, and they now boast 10 locations globally. Seven of those are based in the UK. Here though, we are not focussed on the physical locations.
It took its first steps into online betting in 2023, then in 2024 it was named Casino Operator of the Year at the International Gaming Awards. The site is a white-label solution provided by AG Communications Limited (UKGC: 39483), who are otherwise known as Aspire Global.
Aspire Global have a track record that dates back to 2014, together with a huge presence across the UK gambling market with their fingerprints across a whopping 87 domains, including sister sites like Bet442, Betfusion and Zetbet.
Despite all of that, MetGaming is not yet in a position where it is widely recognised as a household brand name. The big question that needs to be answered is whether or not it has the potential to become one.
MetGaming might only be a couple of years into its online journey, but a backing from AG Communications Limited means there is extensive experience behind the scenes.
AG’s history is not all rainbows and unicorns – more on that in a mo – but it is a long-established name in the UK market and, importantly, a licenced operator deemed fit and proper for gambling with.
The Trustpilot rating for MetGaming comes in at 1.7 out of five. This is hardly a good score but there does need to be a couple of heavy caveats applied to it.
Caveat number one is the limited number of reviews carried out. At the time of writing, it has received only 68 reviews, which is not a huge sample. For example, a household name like bet365 boasts near to 6,000.
Admittedly, 87% of those 68 reviews awarding just the solitary star is harder to spin into a positive. Only 9% award the full five stars.
That said, bet365 has a comparable make up. They are considered one of the most trusted bookmakers in the UK and possess a Trustpilot score of 1.3 with a 6% five-star rating, and 88% of reviewers opting for the lowest possible rank.
Our take on the Trustpilot reviews, particularly when limited in number, is that context and theme is important.
The common theme among low scoring reviews link to bonus structure, which will be covered by terms & conditions so make sure you understand them, and challenges with the withdrawal process. You can check out our dedicated MetGaming withdrawals section for our thoughts on that.
We referred to Aspire Global not having a squeaky clean record a moment ago, and there is no getting away from it. AG Communications have faced regular action from the UK Gambling Commission on multiple occasions.
In November 2022, it was fined close to £240k. The charges were related to anti-money laundering and terrorist financing.
Earlier this year, anti-money laundering issues reared their head again, alongside a number of other breaches around social responsibility. All told, failings occurred between October 2022 and October 2024, with a financial penalty of £1.4m incurred.
One of the benefits to MetGaming forming part of the AG Communications group is the extensive banking options that brings.
Punters can choose from a range of payment methods including both new and old world options, ranging from debit cards and Paysafecards through to eWallet options like PayPal and Skrill. Apple Pay is also available.
During our tests, funds were instantly available. Unfortunately, we do have some annoyances with the process.
The deposit minimum of £10 is fine, but really the highest you would want as a starting place. The issue we have is the default MetGaming opt for.
During deposit, the default deposit amount sits four times higher than it needs to. This doesn't breach any regulation, but it doesn't sit well with us. Nor do the fast-deposit buttons, which start at £25.
In order to actually get started at MetGaming, you will need to deposit funds. Follow our step-by-step deposit process below:
Centrally in the top horizontal header bar, you will see a pink button with the word "Deposit" written in it.
Click this button.
You will see a list of the payment methods available to you. Choose your preferred option by clicking on it.
We opted for the "Debit Cards" option.
On choosing your preferred payment method, you will now need to enter the relevant details. After that, you have to select input your "amount to deposit".
Be careful here, the default position is £40, which is well above the minimum requirements. You can override this.
In order to do so, either use the quick reference options of £25, £40 and £50 or click on the "Amount (£)" cell and key in your desired amount.
It has to meet a minimum deposit value of £10.
Hit the gold "Deposit" button.
A "Success!" screen should then appear. Hit the "Back to Games Lobby" button at the bottom of the page.
The withdrawal process at MetGaming is fairly unnoteworthy.
The options you can choose from for your withdrawal are limited by your choices in the deposit process, so whilst there is a really good variety available to you, ranging from Apple Pay through to Trustly and numerous options in between, realistically you will only ever use a couple of them.
Withdrawal minimums are set at £10, which is nothing to write home about whilst the fact you have to withdraw in round amounts is annoying; it makes it easy to leave extra in your account, which could encourage people to take on an additional bet.
The withdrawal speeds, however, are a plus point.
Our test withdrawal processed in just 24 minutes which is fast, but there are plenty of operators offering instant withdrawals in our test results.
Follow our below step-by-step guide for withdrawing funds from your MetGaming account:
In the header bar of the MetGaming site there are two pink buttons. One is labelled "Deposit". The other is a head and shoulders icon alongside a settings cog; this is the one you want.
Click it to expand a pop-up menu. Select the "Cashout" option.
Halfway down the next page is a dropdown box, which lists available withdrawal methods. This list will be limited to the methods you have used to deposit but, of course, there could be more than one available to you.
Pick you chosen method.
Under that, there is a "Cashout Amount (£)" box. This is simply a text box. Enter your desired withdrawal amount but note that this has to at least £10 and must also be input as a round number; a £10.50 withdrawal, for example, is not possible.
Hit "Request Cashout".
The sportsbook at MetGaming is probably the biggest question mark over it from a reputational standpoint, with the casino being what it is more widely known. Despite that, the sportsbook isn't half bad. In fact, it’s actually pretty good.
The choice of sport you can bet on is plentiful with 42 different variations. These span from the most popular sports of football and horse racing, through to stock car racing and a host of esports too, including games like Valorant, League of Legenda and Dota2.
So, with football the headline sports market we should probably start there. A Premier League match offers punters around 150 markets to bet on. That's a tidy bet coverage, however, notably softer than some of the top football betting sites. That said, the average punter will likely find the markets they want from the pool available at MetGaming.
Competition coverage is excellent too. At the time of writing, bettors can explore competitions from 73 different geographies with England the standout obvious and Venezuela's pyramid less known; multiple competition types are available in many of those 73 countries mentioned, including Venezuela. That is a good advert for league depth.
The decent coverage extends to other sports too. Horse racing spans around the globe with English, Irish and Korean meets available to bet on right now, amongst others. The lack of Best Odds Guaranteed is a negative point, without question, but an element of live streaming helps to soften that pain.
From a navigation standpoint, things are clean, tidy and intuitive with it easy to manoeuvre through menus and sport markets. Then there is the betting margins; our tests put the margins at 6.25%, which is probably sat somewhere in the above average category.
That leaves just the one standout negative and, unfortunately, it is quite a biggie. We experienced several instances of events being "available" but with odds not visible.
This heavily impacted in-play markets and was separate from traditional suspended prices that are common in live betting.
Our intention here is to pour more focus on the sportsbook side of MetGaming, with it known it is long-established in the casino world. That said, it woud be wrong not to review the casino at all.
Whilst it might be more established for its casino proposition, actually, we’re not that sold on it. The selection of games is decent enough with well-known brand names like “Fishin’ Frenzy” and “Big Bass” featuring in their slot list.
Alongside the slots, punters can also explore table games galore, including a host of Blackjack, Roulette and Baccarat variations, amongst others.
There is then a live casino featuring a whole host of games, courtesy of a range of different software providers; Playtech and Evolution are just a couple of names your might recognise.
The issue we take with the casino side of the site is the navigation. It is a disaster. Sure, you have a menu panel that allows a very high-level of filtering by game category but that is where it ends. Beyond that, the display of the games is poor too with the layout simply one long list of thumbnails.
This means that whilst the game pool is strong, finding what you want is difficult. That is never a good place to be in.
Despite having a big name behind it, MetGaming does not yet offer a mobile app. Ordinarily, when sites don't offer a mobile up they can point to a really slick, mobile first website that largely gets them around a lot of negative noise.
That's not really the case for MetGaming and, as such, the lack of an app is more noteworthy than we'd normally suggest.
With Aspire Global having had more than a slapped wrist for issues relating to responsible gambling, you'd think it would be well covered at MetGaming. It isn't. Not in our view.
There is a dedicated "Safer Gambling" section located in the main menu but it is heavily tilted in the direction of the physical casino sites MetGaming operate, not the online platform. That said, deposit limits, health checks, self-exclusion and play limits are all options available to punters.
It also directs customers to external resources of support.
The MetGaming ethos to customer support is "CARE", which they claims stands for Customers Are Really Everything. It sounds great on the surface but do they really live and breathe that? We'd suggest not.
For starters, access the "Help" section from the main menu is difficult because of some display issues and its positioning on the main menu; we had issues on two different mobile devices during our testing. We had to reduce the screen size to enable interaction with the menu option.
Once there, the categorisation of the FAQ area looks clean and easy to follow. The real issue comes in that the actual "FAQ" link fails to connect to anything, and just loops back to the same screen. This is really poor. You can, however, access it through the site footer under the "Getting Started" menu choice. Once you get there, it is a fairly extensive FAQ.
As for the contact options, your only choice to liaise with MetGaming is an email contact form. The absence of a live chat and phone number is another serious red flag.

The MetGaming sign up process is a simple one. If you like what you read about the brand, then following our simple step-by-step guide below will get you up and running:
Before you get to the main MetGaming sign up process, you have to navigate to the website - www.metgaming.com.
Once at the site, you will see a pink "Join" button located in the top right corner. Click it.
The first step in the MetGaming registration process is to input your email address, before creating a username and setting a password. Once done, hit the gold "Next" button.
As you create these fields, you will see a grey box appear. This will detail the requirements you need to hit in terms of length and character use.
Your next step is simply a case of inputting a range of personal information. The list of required details reads as below:
Within the same screen, there is also space to detail any bonus code you might have, whilst a series of tick boxes also need your attention. These consider your marketing preferences and acknowledge the terms and conditions.
Once content, hit "Submit".
You will now see a very simple "Confirmation" screen.
If you wish to head straight on, hit the most prominent option on the page "Click here to start playing".
Should you wish to configure some responsible gambling preferences though there are two options. You are able to configure deposit limits and a "reality check". Follow the respective links on the page.
On progressing through to "start playing", you will be encouraged to verify your account. It is recommended to do that here via the gold "Upload Documents" button.
There is a "Not Now" option underneath that.
For the purposes of this step-by-step guide, we are going to continue with the verification process.
MetGaming will provide four different categories for you to choose from where identity verification is concerned.
Navigate to your chosen upload type and hit “Upload”.
On selecting your chosen method, you will be taken to another screen where the specific document of choice is listed. Pick your chosen method by clicking on the green "upload" option; this then asks you how you wish to upload your chose document - photo library, take photo or choose file.
We opted for a driving licence via the "take photo" option.
After uploading your document, you will be returned to the previous "Upload Your Documents" screen.
The subtle change you will see is a green progress bar that runs horizontally across the bottom of the page. Once done, you will see a confirmation; this will be presented as a circled, bold green tick with a message of congratulations.
Use the ‘x’ button in the top right hand corner to return to the main MetGaming screen. You are now ready to progress with your desired betting.
