A new bookmaker always needs to be reviewed with a pinch of salt, especially one launched in the weeks before we write a review. So, whilst we will try to do that, we always want to be upfront with you.
Anyways, as a bookmaker, London Bet is fine. The payment situation, although frustrating with the lack of methods, is rather good (fast withdrawals and low minimums), whilst the markets are decent enough on the popular sports.
However, there are clear flaws. Past the basic things, areas like horse racing, tennis and even more so with less popular sports, there is a lack of attention. Additionally, the casino and support areas could do with some more depth.
Generally, there is a lot to like about the infancy stage of the bookmaker, but it is not among the best sites in the UK and a lot of work needs to be done to get it there.

London Bet is one of the newest betting sites in the UK, with Thistle Bet Limited releasing the site at the end of June 2025 after much anticipation. It does so with the support of Playbook Gaming, which we revealed before its launch.
For those who have previously used a Playbook site, the similarities are noticeable, but not bad. In fact, having the support of a mainstay in the UK gambling scene is actually very positive, and it bodes well for the site's future.
Many would be reluctant to give a new betting site a chance without the support of someone with experience in the game, and Playbook provides that. From the get-go it is clear to see that this is not the look of a newcomer.
But looks only tell us one thing, so in this review, we will take a look at everything that London Bet has to offer. We will also highlight the pros and cons, so that you can make an informed decision about whether to sign up or not.
Thistle Bet is a relatively unknown name in the gambling industry, with only two sites under its wings: London Bet and the now inactive Thistle Bet. Safety, at least regarding licensing, should not be worried about, though.
Despite its quietness in the scene, the brand is completely licensed by the Gambling Commission in the UK, using license number 66162. So, this means the site is allowed to host a sportsbook and a casino area. A legit and safe option.
At the time of writing, London Bet does not have any reviews on Trustpilot. However, this is not a worry as the site has only just launched. For what it's worth, Thistle Bet, the other - and now inactive - site under the same license was rated 4.4 stars on the site. Something which bodes very well.
There have never been any regulatory actions taken against Thistle Bet Limited, and there are no reports of any wrongdoing related to the owners. This bodes very well for the company, and in turn, London Bet.
As a new bookmaker, you would hope that there is a draw for punters to give the site a chance. However, this is not the case currently. Neither through ourselves nor the site itself are there any sign-up offers available for new customers.
For what it's worth, there are no promotions for customers on-site, meaning right now it is solely a sportsbook and casino site. It has the bread and butter, but some oil and olives would be nice to make customers sign up...
If you are only looking for new bookmakers to try with sign-up offers, we have an extensive list of the best offers available in the UK right now.
For a new bookmaker, limited payment methods available are not uncommon. However, with London Bet, it is taken to the extreme. Customers can only deposit funds with a debit card despite the backing of Playbook Gaming.
We cannot be too harsh here, but this is something that needs to improve. What doesn't, though, is the minimum deposit amount given this stands at just £1 (!). This makes it one of the lowest deposit amounts in the UK, which is opposite from the norm - most sites charge around £5-10 on release.
Below, we have collected everything you need to know about deposits at London Bet:
Payment Method | Min. Limit | Max. Limit | Transaction Fee | Processing Time |
---|---|---|---|---|

![]() Mastercard | £1 | Not specified | No fee | Instant |
If you are new to the process, you can read our step-by-step guide for depositing funds into a London Bet account below.
Once you have entered the website, and logged in, simply tap the 'Profile' area in the top right corner and then tap the 'Deposit' option shown.
In the cashier, you will be asked to confirm your payment amount. At first, we deposited £5 but then found that we could deposit as little as £1, so we did that as well. Then, tap 'Pay using Debit Card'
Following this, you will need to enter your payment information. Thankfully, if your device has an autofill option, this can be used here.
Once done, you will be taken to a confirmation screen and you can begin betting from here. A quick process indeed, and as a reminder, the £1 minimum is a real boost.
The same options are in place for withdrawals; however, they are slightly more limiting. Customers cannot use a new debit card to withdraw funds, as there is no option within the cashier. Nevertheless, we received our money instantly and the minimum withdrawal amount is still £1. Superb.
Below, we have collected everything you need to know about withdrawing funds at London Bet:
Payment Method | Min. Limit | Max. Limit | Transaction Fee | Processing Time |

If you haven't withdrawn money from London Bet before, you can follow our step-by-step guide below:
Once again, from the website, sign in and then tap the 'Profile' icon shown in the top right corner. When in the menu, tap the 'Withdraw' option, and this begins the withdrawal steps.
From here, you simply need to insert the amount that you would like to withdraw from your account. Again, this can be as little as £1. Unfortunately, you cannot add a new method to withdraw funds, though this is not uncommon.
Finally, tap the 'Withdraw' option. In our test, we used a Visa debit card and received our funds instantly after requesting a £5 withdrawal. As stated in the deposit section, we also wanted to trial a £1 deposit, and this money arrived instantly too.
In short, London Bet is one of the fastest withdrawals we have recorded.
Bookmakers will always try to verify accounts automatically, through the KYC (Know Your Customer) process. However, it will not always be possible to completely verify your account when doing this. If somehow this is the case, the site could ask for one or more of these items:
There are several reasons why the site may require these documents. It could be something as trivial as you entering a previous address or the wrong iteration of your name (John, not Jonathan). These documents are easily uploadable, though, and more support can be found on London Bet's FAQ page.
At London Bet, there are 23 different sports offered, as well as TV and special markets, so there is certainly a range. As you would expect, football and horse racing are the most popular. However, tennis and golf are also highlighted.
For a new bookmaker, 23 sports is not a terrible amount by any means, and this number should increase with E-sports and political markets currently not offered. A good start, though.
Looking at a Premier League game, there is a lot to like about London Bet. The markets on offer are superb, with more than 200 individual markets available for customers to use, and this is supported by the bet builder tool.
However, the area could be slightly nicer to navigate, meaning there are betting options available. Additionally, the betting margins of 8.21% are not amazing. They are not the worst in the game, not by any stretch. However, they could definitely be better.
Does it compare well against the best football bookmakers? Not really. It is passable, yes, but there is certainly room for a lot more growth.
Punters will be glad to see that the horse racing offerings with London Bet are rather decent. Most importantly, meetings from the UK, Ireland and international racecourses are available to be bet on, which is a fantastic start.
Additionally, a large number of meetings on these courses have live streaming available, which is a nice help. The live list of racing also provides a good base to go from if you are looking to bet at that moment.
With that said, there is no best odds guaranteed, the Antepost markets are not really too vast (only covering 12 races at the time of writing, without the Cheltenham Festival or the Grand National) and the markets are rather limited - only Win, Each/Way and Tricasts.
There are certainly better horse racing bookies available for punters right now.
Right now, the lack of markets outside of sport is a real drawback. E-sports betting has become a real moneymaker for a lot of bookmakers, so the introduction of this could be a big addition in the near future.
Furthermore, the 'TV & Specials' area is not great either, with only one market available at the time of writing. Again, work is needed here.
There is a lot to like about the London Bet casino. However, this is quite common with Playbook Gaming sites. Most boast a good area that can appeal to a wider audience and the capital-themed option is no different.
The library of games is vast, with customers able to find some of the most popular slots in the UK quickly and easily. In fact, there are several subsections of the area as well as a search bar, making navigation rather easy.
With that said, there are a few flaws to the site. Notably, there are only two studios on offer from the site: LEAP and Pragmatic. Of course, the range is very much present and customers can find a nice amount of variety.
However, more providers would certainly have an impact on enjoyment, in a positive way. Furthermore, there is not a great number of table games. In fact, there are two blackjack games and one roulette option.
All in all, the area needs work, but it is a nice start.
Right now, London Bet does not offer a mobile app for iOS or Android users. However, the site can be accessed by mobile devices, and it runs very well, with London Bet offering a mobile-site version. In other words, it will do for now.
Across the UK, bookmakers are now, more than ever, being made to keep customers safe. Massive fines are handed out for not ensuring customers are 'safe'. With London Bet, it is no different. So, the site offers a number of different measures to keep you safe when gambling:
The site also offers the choice to set deposit limits and reality checks during the sign-up process, showing that this is a priority and focus for the site. However, it does not stop here. Tools can be found easily on site, whilst it also highlights GambleAware and Gamble Help hotlines in the top and bottom banners.
The customer support with London Bet is quite poor, admittedly. However, again, this is probably due to its infancy. Customers can access a live chat or an FAQ area for the site, whilst an email option is also present.
In the FAQs page, there are just two articles, an 'About Us' page and somewhere for feedback. There is nothing else about bets, payments or anything like that. You would imagine that this would be one of the first things to sort. Evidently, it is not, or has not been.
When seeking aid with the live chat, things were no better. The live chat options are quite limiting, especially the pre-selected categories. If you wish to speak to someone, things are no better. Instead, we were informed that we would be waiting two hours for a response. Then, whilst waiting, the chat was actually closed.
All in all, a really poor system currently.
If you would like to create an account at London Bet, follow our step-by-step guide on how to do so below:
To begin the sign-up process, you need to head over to the website, as there is not yet a mobile app for the site.
Firstly, you will need to enter a username and password for your account, with the latter needing to fit certain requirements, such as a symbol and a number. Then, tap 'Create Account'.
It is worth noting that this is not the final step, though.
After this, you will be shown a long page to insert your personal information. So, we need to enter your name, address, Date of Birth and a few other basics. It is worth remembering to use your full name too, as it shows on your ID.
Additionally, the site will ask for your occupation.
Finally, you will be asked to set up your responsible gambling tools. Here, the site will ask you to provide a deposit limit and reality check timer. Though, this is not a long process at all.

No customer support is a big problem,
I used the email address only to find the email in my spam, 'unable to deliver.'
Customer support is essential especially with a new bookmaker, I had many questions to ask including any welcome offers, best odds Guaranteed, withdrawals, downloading the app etc etc
With NO customer support I am reluctant to use London bet, I realise it is early days for this new company not sure they have the expertise to survive. I cannot trust a company in disarray
