Fitzdares is a well-known bookmaker in the horse racing community and it has been around for quite some time as well. The online venture, however, is still relatively new for the bookie as it was launched back in 2018. This is a way for Fitzdares to cater to its customers even when they are not in the exclusive betting clubs, which require a membership.
Having said all of this, it should be pointed out that Fitzdares does not have any sister sites in the traditional sense, meaning there are no other betting sites under the same ownership. And after parting ways with the sportsbook provider FSB Tech for Amelco, Tote is the only sister site through the sportsbook.
Of course, there are still some very good alternatives to Fitzdares that punters to join, especially if we keep the focus on horse racing.
Following the aforementioned switch to Amelco, there are no longer many sister sites to sign up for, with Tote being the only one. As such, we have listed some good alternatives to Fitzdares below.
Fitzdares is mainly known in the horse racing community as this is where it all began for the betting site, attracting a following through its exclusive betting clubs. There are currently four of these in the country and punters have to apply (which is not cheap) to potentially get in. The online version, therefore, has bridged the gap as a more inexpensive option.
You become a member on the online version too, but it does not cost anything and the upgrade to 'Member Plus' does not either. The latter gives access to best odds guaranteed as well as free bets offers, which is a nice touch to the exclusivity. Of course, Fitzdares also has a very comprehensive horse racing offering which includes live streaming.
As already mentioned, there are no other betting sites under the same ownership as Fitzdares. There are, however, some good alternatives and below we take a closer look at three of them.
Just like Fitzdares, BetGoodwin has made a name for itself by focusing on horse racing, earning a spot in our top ten list for the sport of kings. This is immediately made clear when you open up the sportsbook and so too are the similarities with Fitzdares, which were especially evident when both of them used the FSB sportsbook (no longer the case).
The payment methods are exactly the same, with only Mastercard and Visa accepted by the sites, and both sites would benefit from at least lowering the minimum deposit of £10. However, while Fitzdares offers some promotions for other sports, BetGoodwin only does so for horse racing and that is worth keeping in mind.
Even after the sportsbook switch for Fitzdares, meaning they are no longer sister sites, it's definitely still worth joining BetGoodwin if you are a horse racing fan.
BoyleSports feels like another suitable option given its coverage of horse racing, as well as the fact that it has been around since the 80s in Ireland. We are not just talking about a new horse racing bookie (of which there are many, and this is something that most Fitzdares punters - who favour a premium element - will appreciate.
There are many payment methods accepted and the minimum deposit is set at £10, while the withdrawal times are incredibly fast as well. Streaming is available for most horse racing events and BoyleSports doesn't exactly lack promotions for customers to claim. In short, it's one of our favourite bookies in the UK.
Fafabet is another betting site with the FSB sportsbook platform, differing on quite a few fronts compared to Fitzdares. First of all, even though the home page might deceive, the main focus is not on horse racing but rather on football. It may not be among the best football betting sites, but this is still the clear focus.
Some decent offers are shown in the top banner, such as a daily free bet, and the sportsbook is decent for betting on most sports. There is a bet builder, for example, but this is the case for all of the sites on this list as they use the same provider. In any case, Fafabet stands out a little thanks to having a different focus.
Albeit decent, it is not a bookmaker that we would recommend off the bat and it could be worth taking a look at our review of Fafabet before making a decision.
