Learn everything you need to know about withdrawals at CopyBet: withdrawal time for each method, minimum withdrawal and more.
CopyBet is not exactly known for lightning-fast withdrawals, nor does it claim to be the fastest, but we decided to put its withdrawal process to the test anyway. Although the bookie now accepts Instant Bank Transfers, we decided to withdraw the minimum amount of £10 with a Visa debit card, as many punters will still want to use that method.
Unfortunately, while the withdrawal was processed within a few hours, the money did not arrive in our bank account until 48 hours later. This is a lot slower than other bookmakers we have tested with the same method, so it was certainly a bit disappointing.
CopyBet has become a very popular bookmaker in the UK just in the last few years, currently offering a very lucrative bet £10 get £50 welcome offer for new customers. While the sportsbook is not much compared to the biggest bookmakers around, CopyBet is indeed a solid product and this is also reflected on the withdrawal front.
Below, we have collected the key information about withdrawals at CopyBet, including the methods available and the withdrawal time for each.
Payment Method | Min. Limit | Max. Limit | Transaction Fee | Processing Time |
---|---|---|---|---|
Visa | £10 | Not specified | No fee | 48 hours in our test |
Mastercard | £10 | Not specified | No fee | 2-5 business days |
Instant Bank Transfer | £10 | Not specified | No fee | Instant (within minutes) |
As you would expect, the fastest way to withdraw winnings from CopyBet is by using the newly introduced method Instant Bank Transfer. Withdrawals with this method usually take just a few minutes, which is very good, and certainly better than withdrawing with a debit card as our test showed.
Indeed, as you can read about more below, we had to wait around 48 hours for the money to arrive. Therefore, we would recommend trying Instant Bank Transfer, especially since you need to use it to claim the welcome offer. The latter requirement was added recently by the bookie and is bound to put some potential new customers off.
As we noticed when testing the deposit process at CopyBet, popular payment methods such as Apple Pay, Google Pay, Neteller and Skrill are listed on the site. However, when we attempted to deposit or withdraw, we were faced with an error message that stated we already had a transaction with another payment method (despite our account being empty of funds).
Debit cards and Instant Bank Transfer were the only two methods that did not show any error messages. And since they are the only ones listed on the CopyBet app, we have to assume that the bookie is 'phasing out' the aforementioned methods. This is definitely worth keeping in mind before signing up.
If you haven't withdrawn money from CopyBet before, you can follow our step-by-step guide on how to do so below. We tested the process on the bookie's app.
Using the main menu of the CopyBet app, head over to the 'Home section' and select the 'Withdraw' option. This will bring you to the withdrawal cashier.
First of all, once in the cashier, you will need to enter the amount you would like to withdraw. Remember that the minimum withdrawal amount for all methods is £10.
For first-time withdrawals, Copybet will assume that you would like to use the same method as the deposit. It is possible to change the method, but you must first withdraw the deposit amount to the same method in line with money laundering regulations.
Finally, tap the yellow 'Withdrawal' button to complete the request. You will then be taken to a confirmation screen, stating that the withdrawal is on its. Although the app states it will be processed within just minutes, the money did not arrive in our bank account until 48 hours later. This makes CopyBet among the slowest bookies we have tested.
