BetGoodwin App Ratings, Reviews & Download Links

Orginally founded in 1997 as a telephone betting service, BetGoodwin made its move online in 2022, bringing its long-standing racing and sportsbook heritage to the digital audience. Based in East Sussex, it's one of the few independent UK bookmakers still operating today.

While the bookmaker has earned a relatively strong Trustpilot score compared to other UK betting sites, its mobile apps are still in the early stages of user feedback and adoption.

  • ⭐ 3.4 average on the App Store (20k+ reviews)
  • ⭐ 2.4 average on Google Play (10+ reviews)

With a combined average rating just above 3 stars, there’s still clear room for improvement, particularly on Android. That said, with more updates and user feedback, these scores could shift significantly over time.

Deposits and Withdrawals on the BetGoodwin App

Despite entering the online space three years ago, the bookmaker is still quite traditional with its methods. Unfortunately, only debit cards are available for customers, which is a blow, as e-wallets are now a very commonly used method of payment.

Whilst we would prefer more payment methods to be available, we cannot complain about the speed of transactions. Deposits are instant and withdrawals can be done in less than 30 minutes, which is among the best we have seen.

Below we have listed everything you need to know about the payment methods on the BetGoodwin app, so take a look:

How to Withdraw on the BetGoodwin App

If you have not withdrawn money via the BetGoodwin app before, you can follow our step-by-step guide below, but we also have a dedicated page to the process:

  • 1

    Open Up the Withdrawal Cashier

To reach the withdrawal cashier, tap the balance in the top corner of the screen and then choose the 'Withdraw' option in the menu that emerges.

    BetGoodwin Withdraw 1
  • 2

Enter the Amount and Tap 'Withdrawal £X'

Next, you will be taken to the withdrawal cashier which is quite basic in its design. However, this is not a bad thing by any means. Due to gambling regulations, we had to withdraw to our Visa debit card as we used it to deposit as well. Once the method has been chosen, enter the amount you would like to withdraw and tap the yellow 'Withdrawal £X' button.

    Monitor the Status

In our test, it took less than 30 minutes for the money to arrive in the bank account. This is thanks to the Visa Direct system, of course, but Betgoodwin also deserves praise for processing the payment so quickly.

BetGoodwin App Sports Review

Having transitioned from a telephone bookmaker to an online presence only a few years ago, there are going to be issues with the site. After all, it is a difficult change to make. However, there are quite a few issues that we have found.

The bookmaker formerly had a focus on horse racing, and the roots of BetGoodwin are deeply within the sport. Despite this, when the online presence was formed, many more sports were offered, and the app boasts more than 20 different sports currently as well as a political betting area.

In-Play betting is undoubtedly a key feature of the app, given the 'Live Now' and 'Upcoming' fixture lists are promoted instantly after entering the app. Of course, though, other sports icons are displayed, making navigation easy.

BetGoodwin Home

If you are unable to find the sport you are searching for, simply tap the three lines in the top left corner, and this brings up the app's menu, where all sports can be found, as well as the promotions area.

Saying it was challenging to bet on football would be slightly harsh. However, it is certainly not the easiest task. Unlike other apps, the fixture list is quite minimal and is quite strict in its selections. However, there is a good range of different leagues available.

With this, it is no shock to hear that the Build-A-Bet or as BetGoodwin calls the area, 'Create-A-Bet' area is lacking. Selections are very short in numbers, and the interface does not make the process very smooth, a real frustration.

BetGoodwin Create Bet (Build a Bet)

To the site's credit, the horse racing area is better, and this is to be expected. Navigation is slightly easier and the range of fixtures also is better. Despite this though, the actual markets are quite poor with the site failing to offer any other markets than the winner markets.

A slight positive is that some fixtures can be streamed live, however, this is not something to get over-excited about considering this is standard practice for most bookmakers.

Another huge flaw in the app that we found is that it crashes quite regularly. Whether it is because you have exited the app or when just browsing markets, we found that the app was quite unreliable, which is a real shame and definitely not a good look.

BetGoodwin App Casino Review

The BetGoodwin casino was added a year after the initial launch of the site's digital presence, and in some areas this is identifiable, whilst with other things, it is not really.

Firstly, we must praise the range of different games and slots available for customers. Not only are the 'biggest' and most popular games available, but there is also quite a few different options. Additionally, there are a nice amount of providers on the app, so players will be able to find their preferred choice of game.

However, issues were found when loading some games which we attempted to give a go. Some games loaded instantly, whilst others caused the app to crash, which is certainly a frustration. As a result of this, it felt like we were pushed towards certain slots due to the app's inability to provide all games quickly and smoothly.

Customer Support on the BetGoodwin App

Unfortunately, the customer service area on BetGoodwin is certainly lacking, this much is undeniable. Whilst the area is easy to access, the actual support is not through the app, which is quite disappointing.

Once on the app, tap the profile icon in the top right corner, and then scroll down the menu to find 'Contact Us'. Unfortunately, this brings up a query selector and text box which will be emailed to the site's customer service team.

BetGoodwin Support

Through the app, there are no other methods of contact available, and an FAQ area is not provided. All in all, very poor we must say.

Expert Opinion of the BetGoodwin App

Ben Dixon
Ben DixonTipster

Unfortunately, we faced several issues when using the BetGoodwin app, which is a shame.

In our test, and outside of that, the app has been somewhat difficult to use. Whether it has been through crashes or speed, we have always found it somewhat of a challenge and this certainly does not reflect well.

If BetGoodwin can sort out these problems, the app could become a very decent mid-tier option for punters. However, you would fear that many would have been turned away already by the site's struggle to transition to mobile.

BetGoodwin Mobile Betting Apps FAQs

Yes, despite BetGoodwin initially only being available as a telephone betting service, it has made a mobile betting app for Android and iOS recently.

Head to the Play Store on Android or App Store for iOS customers, search BetGoodwin, and the app will be the first option there to download. It is not a big app, so downloads should not take too long.

Checking bets is very easy on the app it must be said. Simply enter the app, and then tap the 'My Bets' area shown at the bottom of the screen.

Given the app is only a few years old, there are bound to be some issues with them. Reliability, navigation and the interface are three big things for customers, and we cannot help but feel it falls slightly short in all departments. With improvements though, there is definitely scope for a good betting app.
