The 2025 BetMGM Premier League Darts moves onto night 6 in Nottingham, where the top two players in world darts will renew their rivalry in the night's first match.
Luke Littler and Luke Humphries have won four of the five nights so far this season with Humphries occupying top spot in the league by just two points.
Humphries landed his first televised 9 darter last week in a night where we saw two as Rob Cross also hit the magical nine in what turned out to be an incredible night of darts.
Luke Littler has been dominant over the last two weeks and has picked up a hat-trick of titles. Starting with a maiden UK Open victory in Minehead, he then went to Brighton last week and blew away the rest of the field to claim his second weekly title of the season.
Next was the European Tour in Wieze where he successfully defended his title and once again showed his peers how dominant he can be.
Darts isn't easy but 'The Nuke' is making it look that way as he averaged 122.93 against Damon Heta on the PDC ProTour on Tuesday and hit a 9 darter earlier in the day. His 19 match winning streak eventually came to an end against Gian van Veen, who himself made it to two finals over Tuesday and Wednesday, winning one of them.
Chris Dobey hasn't won a match in the Premier League since his victory over Rob Cross in the semi-final on night 1 and he will face Cross in the second match tonight. 'Voltage' hit a 9 darter and averaged 111 and 107 last week and is now just two points adrift from the playoff positions.
Stephen Bunting is now five matches without a win on his return to the Premier League and it doesn't get any easier tonight as he faces the in-form Gerwyn Price.
The Welshman did lose his opening match last week to MVG averaging just 90.11. It was a strange performance after such a positive start to the year and he'll be looking to bounce back tonight.
Nathan Aspinall has moved himself up to 3rd place after a run to the final last week and now has two finals in the last three weeks after a very shaky start to his campaign. He faces Michael van Gerwen who himself is yet to make it past the semi-final stage this season.
Luke Littler and Luke Humphries have now created a big gap between themselves and the rest of the field and the chasing pack will have to be careful they don't get cut adrift. This is a big night for a lot of these players as we are now approaching the halfway point of this year's Premier League season.
The two best dart players in the world renew their rivalry once again on the big stage tonight. Number 1 and 2 in the World Rankings respectively and clear from the rest of the field as top 2 in the Premier League table, it's obvious that these two are far superior right now.
Luke Humphries beat Littler in the final in Exeter, which ended a six-match losing streak to the teenager in the Premier League and was the first time he'd beaten him in this tournament. Littler has the upper hand in the head-to-head record (9-7) but Humphries has won four of the last five encounters.
Both players are in fantastic form with Humphries making the final of PC06 on Wednesday and has two weekly wins so far this season. Littler is on a hot streak after winning three titles in a fortnight, including last week's victory in Brighton.
I don't think we have to go into too much detail on their form as it's quite clear they're both playing very well. Best of 11 matches are always unpredictable, but I feel Littler is coming here with so much confidence after his 19 match unbeaten streak.
Humphries does have the upper hand over the last five encounters, but the young phenom looks hard to beat at the moment. It will be a tight match, with lots of maximums but I expect 'The Nuke' to come through this contest.

Rob Cross hit a sensational nine-darter last week in Brighton during his 6-4 victory over Luke Humphries. He averaged 111.19 in that match before losing narrowly 6-5 to Aspinall with a 106.91.
Since then though, he's lost first round in Euro Tour 1 and PC05 before a last 16 run in PC06 on Wednesday. It's difficult to predict a Cross performance at the moment, but he is hitting a lot of maximums again, which is a positive.
Chris Dobey is struggling for wins at the moment and is currently on a five-match losing streak in the Premier League. He hasn't played well for the last few weeks and lost in round 1 of the first European Tour event of the season, followed by two second round defeats in Leicester on the Pro Tour this week.
I'd stay away from predicting the winner here as both players are very inconsistent at the moment. The value is on the 180 market as both players have been hitting a lot of late.
Dobey has hit 18 maximums in his last four matches in the Premier League whilst Cross hit 11 in two matches last week in Brighton. Over 5.5 180s looks very likely, especially as I think this will be a close match.

Stephen Bunting remains rock bottom of this year's Premier League but he's faced averages of 109, 103, 112, and 106 since succumbing to Rob Cross on the opening night. He's starting to play better after reaching two quarter finals last week in Euro Tour 1 and PC06.
Gerwyn Price was poor last week, losing to MVG 6-3 with a 90.11 average. That's now his second defeat on the trot in the Premier League after another poor performance on Night 4 losing to Luke Humphries with an 89.77 average.
He also lost in his opening round match against Connor Scutt at the UK Open but returned to form at the Euro Tour in Wieze where he averaged 112.42 in a 6-2 victory over Gian van Veen.
I think it's finally time for Bunting to grab a victory in the Premier League this season and I think this is the perfect opportunity to jump on Price after back to back defeats. The Welshman still looks in fantastic form but Bunting's luck has to turn at some point and I think it does this evening.

I understand why Michael van Gerwen is favourite in this match but the value for me is Nathan Aspinall here. 'The Asp' has found his mojo again after a very difficult start to the season and has now catapulted himself up to third in the table. Two finals in three weeks, including a 6-3 victory over MVG on Night 3, will boost his confidence no end.
Michael van Gerwen has struggled on TV since beating Luke Littler and Stephen Bunting during the opening two nights of the Premier League with a 106 and 109 average.
He's failed to progress past the semi-final stage in the first five nights this year and two shock early defeats in the UK Open and Euro Tour 1 against Rob Owen and Boris Krcmar will do nothing for his momentum. He did reach the quarter-final of PC05 on Tuesday and averaged 112 en route but it's not televised and that's where his issues lie.
For me, MVG is trying too hard to impress on TV and unfortunately at the moment his action also looks concerning. His constant overlean means he is throwing a lot of low darts and with the way his darts sit in the board, he's having to chase around open targets for trebles which means he's being outscored a lot of the time.
It wouldn't be a James Hubbard preview without mentioning momentum and once again I think it's a huge factor here. Aspinall is full of confidence and on a brilliant run at the moment in this tournament and with MVG seemingly struggling to find his form, I think 'The Asp' is huge value in this match.
