Manchester City have taken another step towards retaining their crown and remain clear favourites in the Premier League outright winner betting odds after the weekend's action.

City ran out comfortable 4-0 winners at Fulham on Sunday and they are still being offered at 2/5 to win what would be a fourth straight Premier League title - and sixth in seven years.

Pep Guardiola's side are a point behind Arsenal but play their game in hand on Tuesday away to Tottenham, who could do their local rivals a huge favour in a tight title race.

Arsenal also have a +3 advantage when it comes to goal difference, so if City were to draw at Spurs they would be in the box seat going into a blockbuster final day of action on Sunday.

The Gunners moved back to the top of the table with a scrappy 1-0 victory away to Manchester United. Leandro Trossard poked home the only goal of the game from close range.

Yet another away clean sheet for Mikel Arteta's side showed their defensive resilience but, even if they win their last game, at home to Everton, it might not be enough to clinch the title. The bookmakers now have Arsenal at 11/5 in the Premier League title race betting odds.

Spurs have Champions League qualification to play for having ended a losing run with a 2-1 win over Burnley at the weekend. But they are four points behind Aston Villa with a far worse goal difference, so they likely need to win their last two games to force their way into the top four.

Villa are just 1/20 in the Premier League top-four finish betting odds, with Spurs out at 12/1.

Europa League qualification is still up in the air, with Newcastle United holding on to sixth spot but now coming under increasing pressure after they could only draw with Brighton on Saturday.

Chelsea's 3-2 win away to Nottingham Forest moved them level on points with the Magpies, who have a large goal difference cushion ahead of the Blues. Both teams also have an extra game to play on Wednesday: Chelsea are at Brighton and Newcastle go to Old Trafford.

The Premier League top-six finish betting odds are too close to call, with Chelsea and Newcastle both offered at evens going into the season's last week.

At the bottom, Burnley's loss away to Spurs confirmed their return to the Championship and Luton Town are on the brink of following them back to the second tier after losing at West Ham. Luton could technically still stay up but they need to beat Fulham at home and hope Nottingham Forest lose at Burnley with a massive swing in goal difference: Forest's lead stands at +12.

And Erling Haaland is almost certain to win the Golden Boot again - he is 1/100 in the betting odds - thanks to his four-goal lead from Chelsea star Cole Palmer (40/1).
