Arne Slot arrived on Merseyside this season and many expected Liverpool to drop off slightly. However, the Dutchman has the Reds playing at their highest level in a while, and a quadruple could be on the cards.
At present, the Reds are in the running for every competition that they have started the season in, those being:
Below, you can compare the latest odds for the trophies that Liverpool are fighting for in the 2024/25 season, and if the odds are anything to go off, they are in a superb position...
As the season started, people very quickly took note of Liverpool's chances with the Reds flying early doors. Since then, they have continued to impress, and they deserve hoards of credit for this.
Not only are they dominating in the Premier League, which is undoubtedly the team's main aim, but they are doing fantastically in the cup competitions in England whilst also providing huge entertainment in Europe.
As it stands, Slot's side are the favourites to win the Premier League and it is so easy to see why this is the case. Arsenal and Manchester City have regularly stumbled so far this season, and this has led to points regularly being dropped.
However, that is not the reason why Liverpool are favourites.
Others dropping points is the sole reason for their successes, instead, it is their own ridiculous point accumulation which has led to an already standing six-point gap, whilst also having a game in hand over second.
It seems the Reds are destined for the league title, and it is largely thanks to Mo Salah's goals, and he could pick up a personal award too this season.
The FA Cup is a really difficult one to call currently, given it is still random. The Reds could hypothetically draw the lowest-seeded teams from here until the final, or alternatively, they could be tasked with eliminating the heavy hitters.
A 4-0 win against Accrington Stanley (who are they?) did not prove to be a test, and did anyone think it would be any different? So we cannot really take anything from this game, and we will probably struggle to take anything from their travels to Plymouth this weekend.
It is understandable why their odds of winning the competition are the joint-highest of any remaining competition.
This is the competition that, for now, a quadruple rests upon. After their dismantling of Tottenham Hotspur at Anfield, the Reds are now in the final of the Carabao Cup for the second season in a row, and Newcastle are a slightly easier opponent to face than Arsenal, at least on paper.
That being said, the Geordies will be well up for the tie, so it may not be a walk in the park, especially with them wanting to go a step further than they did in the 2022/23 season.
Despite this, the bookies are still quite confident of their chances to win the competition, and it is easy to see why they are the clear favourites.
Finally, we have the Champions League. Last season, Liverpool were in the Europa League, and on their return, they are doing a stellar job, but now it is the business end of the competition.
In their last Champions League campaign, Jurgen Klopp's side fell in the Round of 16, for the second time since 2019/20. Of course, they got to the final in the 2021/22 season, but they have not had their hands on the silverware since.
Now is arguably their best chance to do so again though, after storming the league phase, the Reds have an automatic ticket to the Round of 16 which has haunted them in recent years.
Looking at the potential opponents awaiting them, it is possible that this could repeat. The Merseyside outfit will face one of Paris Saint-Germain, Benfica, Monaco or Brest, and, arguably, none of these are an easy draw.
Fans may already dream of a trip to Munich in May, but there is a lot of football left to be played.
As a final note, is important to remember that this is only Slot's first year in charge of Liverpool, so a Premier League title was probably a dream. So for the team to be performing how they are so far is, dare we say, almost miraculous.
That being said, a quadruple is a task for any team, let alone one in Slot's circumstances. Despite that though, they have been a revelation so far, and they will have their sights firmly set on a quadruple whilst it still is a possibility.
As of February 7, Bet365 have Liverpool at 33/1 to win the Premier League, FA Cup, and the Champions League or Carabao Cup, maybe that is a phenomenal price from the bookmaker.
As of February 7, Betway have Liverpool at 51.94/1 to win the quadruple - Premier League, FA Cup, Champions League and the Carabao Cup.
