Liverpool's 2-0 win over Premier League champions Manchester City means that the Reds have now become the undoubted front-runners in the title race, sitting nine points clear at the top.

Arne Slot's side are the clear favourites in the Premier League outright betting market, although Arsenal and Chelsea also recorded victories to maintain some pressure on the league leaders.

City drop to fifth and drift to 9/1 after latest loss

City made the trip to Anfield having broken their run of losses in all competitions with a midweek Champions League draw with Feyenoord, but they should have won that game after leading.

Continuing to miss midfield mainstay Rodri, City were well out of sorts on Merseyside and slipped to a 2-0 loss that could have been a lot worse. As a result of losing a fourth straight Premier League game, City dropped to fifth place and are now 9/1 to win the title. However, Arsenal had an eight-point cushion last spring and City still managed to win the league again.

Liverpool remain the 8/13 favourites in the Premier League outright odds, with the Reds having taken a superb 34 points from their first 13 matches under Slot, who replaced Jurgen Klopp.

Arsenal are still available at around 3/1 in the title race betting odds after they collected a 5-2 victory away at West Ham. Chelsea have now been cut to 18/1 from 22/1 last week after Enzo Maresca's men won again, easing to a comfortable home victory against struggling Aston Villa.

Are Man United top-four contenders under Amorim?

Manchester United's first home league game under Ruben Amorim saw the Red Devils brush Everton aside at Old Trafford, with Marcus Rashford in fine form in a straightforward victory.

United have jumped into the top half of the table and might yet be contenders for Champions League qualification, having been well off the pace prior to the sacking of Erik ten Hag. They are priced at 11/2 in the Premier League top-four finish betting odds but they have lots of work to do.

A 1-1 home draw with Fulham leaves Tottenham at 3/1 to finish in the top four, while Brighton missed out on the chance to go second in the league, temporarily at least, by drawing at home to Southampton on Friday night. The Seagulls are at 6/1 for a top-four Premier League finish.

Nottingham Forest bounced back from successive losses by seeing off Ipswich Town, but they are seen as 40/1 shots to finish in the top four despite only being a point away at the moment.

City are still 1/3 in the top-four finish betting odds despite a collapse in confidence, behind Arsenal (1/16) and Liverpool (1/50). Chelsea still round out the group of favourites at 2/5.

Work to do for new Leicester boss Van Nistelrooy

It was a watching brief for Ruud van Nistelrooy after the ex-United striker was named the new boss at Leicester City, with the Foxes beaten 4-1 away to Brentford. Leicester are a point above the relegation zone but they priced at 8/15 to suffer an immediate return to the Championship.

Southampton are the only side with shorter relegation odds despite picking up a good point away to Brighton. The Saints are at 1/5 to be relegated back to the second tier, with Russell Martin's side five points adrift - the same number of points they have won from 13 matches.

Ipswich's latest loss leaves them at 4/6 in the Premier League relegation betting odds, while Crystal Palace moved out of the drop zone by drawing at home to Newcastle United. Bookies still seem to be sure the Eagles will fly out of danger and they are now at 7/2 to be relegated.

Conceding three penalties contributed to Wolves losing badly, 4-2 at home to Bournemouth, on Saturday. Gary O'Neil's men were 5/2 in the Premier League relegation odds a week ago and their price has changed slightly, with 9/4 now the best price available for them to drop this term.

Everton's big defeat at Old Trafford means they are two points above the drop zone and looking nervously over their shoulders. The Toffees can now be backed at 9/4 to be relegated down to the Championship, with Everton expecting to move into their brand new stadium for next term.

Heavy loss sees Dyche enter sack race

Sean Dyche is now at 5/2 to be the next Premier League manager to lose his job. Takeover talk continues to build pressure on the Everton boss, whose side are now in 15th spot in the table.

Losing heavily at home to Arsenal - his side went 4-0 down in the first half - means that the West Ham boss Julen Lopetegui is now the favourite in the sack race betting odds. His price has been cut to 11/8, while Southampton's Russell Martin can be backed at 2/1 to be next to go.

Wolves dropping back into the relegation zone means Gary O'Neil's position is less stable. From 10/1 a week ago, O'Neil is now priced up at around 7/1 to be the next manager to lose their job.

Salah on Haaland's shoulder in Golden Boot race

Another Liverpool win and another Mo Salah goal means that the Egypt star is now just a single goal behind Erling Haaland in the scoring charts. Haaland drew a blank again but he can still be backed at 4/7 in the Golden Boot betting odds, with Salah's price having been cut to just 3/1.

Nicolas Jackson is one to watch with the Chelsea striker netting his eighth Premier League goal of the season at the weekend. His Golden Boot betting odds have been cut from 20/1 to 14/1.

Chris Wood also scored again at the weekend but the nine-goal Forest striker is offered at 33/1.
