Almost all top-half teams in League Two are competing for first place currently, and this has resulted in a mixed field for punters to look at.
At the top of League Two, it is difficult to work out where a cut-off should be, at least for this section. There are so many teams in close proximity which makes it almost impossible to call whichever way it'll go.
It was a return to winning ways for Walsall this weekend, who really need to start putting some form together moving forward, and this is a step in the right direction. A 2-0 win away to Harrogate is not defining.
However, it is an important three points on the board, especially when so many others struggled at the weekend.
Swindon follow in second, with a fourth draw in their last five games. Against Grimsby Town, it is not a terrible result, given the Mariners are a pretty solid outfit. However, dropping a two-goal lead inside the first half is not great.
It is so close to clicking; they just need to become a little more solid defensively. When they do click, I think the 7/1 price for them to win the title will drop quite quickly.
Rounding off the automatic promotion spots is Bromley, who have won four games on the bounce now, with the latest coming in quite an impressive fashion. At home against Salford, who have been among the play-off contenders all season, they grabbed a 2-0 win.
Goals from Omar Sowunmi and Will Hondermarck were enough to secure 12 points from 15, and it is difficult to suggest that the form may slow down. However, they are still 12/1 to win League Two... Maybe overpriced?
Below, we have collected the top teams - aside from the big favourites - and their respective odds to finish top 7 in the 2025/26 League Two season.
The top three could be stretched much further in the previous section. However, there are also several teams deserving of being discussed here.
MK Dons, perhaps, are unlucky to feature here, given that they are three points from the top spot, whilst also remaining favourites to win League Two with most of the football bookmakers in the UK.
Had they won at the weekend, they would have sat in second. However, they were forced to come back after being two goals down in the first half. For me, they are not really showing up as many thought they would.
Notts County also saw their streak ended at the weekend, with a 3-1 loss against Colchester, who are looking really strong at the moment. In fact, it is the first time that the hosts have conceded three goals in a League Two game since April.
Chesterfield and Gillingham wrap up the top seven, but they were alongside Crewe and Grimsby in failing to win this weekend. Results which have not really helped their chances of promotion.
Cambridge and Fleetwood both picked up three points this weekend, and now sit on 26 points each, remaining in touching distance of the top seven. However, the odds that interest me a lot currently are those of Colchester.
Whilst they have a three-point gap to seventh, they have won three of their last five games, and to win so convincingly against Notts County - who are one of the best teams in the league - has gotten me interested. Right now, they are 9/4 for a spot in the play-offs.
Below, we have collected the top four teams and their respective odds to be relegated in the 2025/26 League Two season.
Finally, we head to the relegation odds and battle, where it was a pretty standard week.
Newport remain glued to the bottom, thanks to a 3-0 hammering at the hands of Oldham. They have conceded the most goals in the league this season, and it is certainly not the start to a new job that Christian Fuchs will have hoped for.
Harrogate then follow, albeit sitting four points ahead, and for many this was the makeup of the relegation places before the season began. Whilst not a three-goal defeat, the North Yorkshire outfit were also well beaten at the weekend.
Cheltenham's win against Bristol Rovers could have a massive effect on the table, all things considered. They now sit on 17 points, with three wins in their last five games.
However, the Gas have now lost seven League Two games in a row. It is a really problematic situation, and their price for relegation is shortening, with some bookmakers offering as little as 7/1 for them to go down. There is value in the selection, if you wish to take it, though, with SkyBet offering 18/1 at the time of writing.
