The weekend's League One action was followed up quickly by some games in hand taking place in midweek. However, we have seen very little change. Let's take a look at the results and odds.

Top Three Dominate

The odds at the top of the League One table have shifted fairly regularly, and this weekend's action has kept that trend true, with yet another team emerging as the third most likely team to win the League One title.

Put simply, the league is a bit all over the place, at least from an odds perspective, and this offers us some value.

Before the season began, few would have expected Bradford City to be challenging for the playoffs, let alone the league title. However, they currently sit in first, a position which they have held for a few weeks now.

This weekend's narrow win against Blackpool secured the points at Valley Parade, and there can be no denying that they are in a fantastic place, currently.

Following them is Stevenage, another team that probably came with doubts coming into the season. Again, though, they overcame odds at the weekend by grabbing a 3-2 win against Leyton Orient, who have been a bit poor so far this season.

Then, rounding off the top three is Lincoln City, who grabbed three points with three goals against Peterborough. Posh have been questionable this season and a three-goal smashing made it three wins on the bounce for Michael Skubala's team.

Latest Top 6 Odds in League One

Below, we have collected the top teams - aside from the big favourites - and their respective odds to finish top 6 in the 2025/26 League One season.

Odds Giving Us a Chance

Once I have looked at a team, I normally leave them in one section. However, I'm going to continue here with the top three, albeit only for a moment. Right now, Bradford, despite being third favourite to win the league title, are sixth favourite for a spot in the Top Six with odds of 4/6.

Sitting behind them, Stevenage are 1/1 whilst Lincoln are as high as 9/4 for a Top Six spot; those odds seem really attractive, and this is what I mean by things being a bit all over the place.

Anyway, back to the play-off teams.

Cardiff sit in fourth after an up-and-down duo of games. At the weekend they walked past Cardiff, who finished the game with 10 men. However, their postponed game against Burton saw them lose a second game of the season. Despite this, they remain the favourites to win the league title.

Behind them is Huddersfield Town, who won their first League One game in three games, with a narrow victory against Exeter City away from home. A beautiful strike from Leo Casteldine has brought a bit of hope.

Rounding off the top six is Wimbledon, another team that few would have expected at the start of the season. However, they have a bit of a buffer to the teams below them, who we'll get to.

A third successive League One win, this time against Wycombe, has the newly promoted side flying. Somehow, you can get 9/1 for them to get a Top Six finish this season, which might be tempting.

Luton and Stockport were the only two top-half teams to get a point this weekend. Both are well-backed to get a play-off spot, with the latter sitting around Evens. However, for Bolton, Barnsley and Doncaster, a loss has got them chasing the pack.

Saving Grace

Once again, this weekend was a little questionable at the bottom. However, some midweek action has caused a small shift in things.

As of Wednesday morning, Peterborough have returned to the bottom of the pack and sit on just seven points. A 3-0 loss at home is really bad, and already there are rather significant fears about them this season.

Sitting on the same points is Rotherham, who lost their third game in a row, this time only narrowly to Mansfield. However, considering they were sitting only a few points ahead before the weekend, it was a chance to catch up. One that was not taken, and they are now below Evens to go down.

Then, the final two have both received a boost. At the weekend, both Burton and Blackpool were beaten by Plymouth (by four goals), and then the latter were beaten by Bradford by a narrow margin.

In midweek, though, they showed signs of life.

Starting with the Brewers, a 1-0 win against Cardiff is about as good a result as you'll get on paper in this division. A real smash and grab performance against the favourites to win the league away from home, superb.

Whilst Blackpool couldn't get three points, they were close, conceding an equaliser in the 91st minute against Luton Town after a CJ Hamilton brace. Steve Bruce will be frustrated, but they have shown that they can be effective for long spells.

That pair of results will certainly have Wycombe, Reading and Exeter worried, considering the gap has now shrunk to a point.
