Mike De Decker came through a scrappy affair yesterday, averaging 89.15 during a 6-3 victory against Gabriel Clemens. He'll need to up it today against the Aussie, who looked very assured in the first round.

Damon Heta breezed through his first-round match against an out-of-sorts Joe Cullen, averaging 96.06 in a 6-1 rout.

For me, Heta looks like a huge price to hit the most 180s. When he's on, he hits a lot, so 11/5 is a fantastic value bet.

• Josh Rock Most 180s & Win: 20/21 at bet365

Danny Noppert pulled off a surprise victory over Stephen Bunting yesterday, averaging 92.59 during a 6-4 victory. Noppert has struggled at times this season, but that win should give him a big boost going into the rest of the year.

Josh Rock was once again extremely impressive, averaging 96.50 in a 6-3 win over Krzysztof Ratajski. Rocky continues to climb up the world rankings and looks fantastic value to outscore and beat the Dutchman tonight.

• Over 5.5 180s In The Match: 11/10 at BetVictor

Luke Humphries and Kevin Doets both overcame last-leg deciders in the first round to progress 6-5. Doets really struggled with his finishing (28.57%), and that could be the deciding factor in this match, but both players can hit 180s galore, so over 5.5 180s looks likely here.

• Michael van Gerwen To Win: 4/5 at Bet365

Rob Cross came through a potential banana skin of a first round, beating Haupai Puha 6-3 with a 98.14 average. It was a solid performance from Voltage and a welcome return to form.

Michael van Gerwen produced a stunning performance to defeat his Dutch compatriot, Wesell Nijman. MVG hit five 180s and averaged 104.75 in a 6-5 victory.

The fear is that MVG struggles to back up that performance, like he has so many times this season, but he looked bang up for it last night, and should be again tonight in front of his home fans.

• Under 8.5 Legs: 11/8 at Virgin Bet

Gerwyn Price breezed through his opening match, 6-1 against Danny Lauby. It wasn't his best performance, but a steady 94.68 average got the job done.

Raymond van Barneveld came through a tight battle with Cor Dekker 6-5. It was one of his better performances on the big stage lately, and he did well to keep his head.

Since Gerwyn Price decided he wanted to commit himself again, he's been back to his very best at times. Tonight against Barney, in Holland, I think he will thrive on the atmosphere and come through this match comfortably.
